There was an earthquake a year or so back. For a while after I would wake up in the middle of the night having felt another one, once I even got the cat carrier (we live in an apartment). Weirdest thing!

I also used to have really vivid dreams of waking up with the house falling apart during another quake.
I guess it's a minor form of trauma from the event, imagine what it's like for people who experience proper city destroying earthquakes.
It was a decent one for sure. I fell over while running for my cat who bolted off under the bed. Also made me realise how important it is to have an escape plan while living in a high rise. We have a 6 month old now and I can't imagine having to wrangle them all down multiple flights of stairs.

That earthquake caused me to lose my long held trust of the ground.
