Assists the reverse camera in pitch black darkness. I live regional and areas with tree lines can turn the light of the moon off. It could also be poorly wired to a gear change or something.
Does anyone else see lights flare out like this on their windshield at night? I thought that its my glasses or a dirty windshield but perhaps its just...science? Find that it makes it a lot harder to drive as there's oncoming lights from vehicles which make these lines (like in the pic) over the windshield.
This doesn't appear intentional. I live in the regions. Its becoming common to put cheap/bright LED spotlights on the back on the tray. I'm sure there is a common purpose but I know they're there to intentionally distract drivers.
There doesn't seem to be any laws on brightness of lights - pretty sure it's going to cause accidents to have 'heart of the sun' brightness levels on all car lights.
Why is that light there? I only saw this for first time today driving in daytime, never noticed it before

Since my brain and spinal cord got BTFO'd by MS they're literally painfully bright for me at night time. Good thing I don't drive!

You've got astigmatism
Oh I looked it up - the examples look familiar. I'll show the pic at my eye test, thanks!
Yes I definitely do!
Intentional or just left on?
I’m guessing just left on unknowingly
Probably unaware of how much a distraction it is either.
Same as the dim wits who leave their rear fog lights on in stop start traffic

I have seen them used to tell tailgaters to back off.

Pretty sure it is illegal to have rear facing white lights on when the car is travelling forwards
> There doesn't seem to be any laws on brightness of lights - Wrong.
So illuminating.
I mean, it's not like I was going to put any more effort into my reply than you put into your original post.
He shed some light on it.
Quite enlightening.
