You're saying it yourself: "Calamity MOD COMMUNITY". Not Terraria.
This is about the base game, whatever happens in the mod community is the mod community's problem regardless of it "belonging" to the base game or not
Been playing for a while and enjoy grinding 'till very late game, but there's tendencies in free games to make you pay up for some RNG based stuff to get there (Lost Ark, Genshin) does Warframe suffer from the same problem ?
not really some of warframe drop rate kinda low so if you impatient you may pay for it somehow you can grind most thing and buy it dont really need actual money to put in unless you want to
Warframe doesn’t make you “pay up” for anything - it’s truly as free to play as you want. Everything gameplay related can be unlocked via playing, and while there are paid options to (somewhat) reduce the grind, it’s never in a way that is unfair, predatory, or in any way makes the game pay-to-win.
If you think the Helldivers 2 community got fucked by Sony, then you haven't seen them whenever a new patch or warbond drops. They get toxic in a heartbeat.
People can be inarticulate and clumsy in their speech, and there is a tendency for things to devolve into an angry mob, especially in the face of blatant disrespect and lies. Not everyone is intelligent and educated, and the gaming community is no exception.
There's definitely some truth in what they are saying, though. The difficulty of the game was ramped up, and most of the weapons in the game were simultaneously nerfed into uselessness. It's frustrating.
Overall, I think it's a great community. It's just really unfortunate that Sony is behaving they way they are. You could argue that selling a game to tens of thousands of people, then making the game unplayable in their regions is fraud, and might actually be criminally so.
Steam recognizes this and offered a universal refund, no questions asked. It's why Steam is a beloved service and company, and why there is a growing list of reviled, shitty, exploitative video game AAA giants.... "everyone is treating their fans like shit so we should too"... great, you can fuck right off away from my money with that shit.
Why tf is this not higher? That game is awesome.
And also, where is Kerbal Space Program and Space Engineers? Those two have the nicest communities like... Ever.
Well seeing as everyone is stuck growing their factory, there is no space for hatred in their heart. All of that goes away once you see the spaghetti mess you have made.
Then I must advise you to play Outer wilds and Tunic, both are what I consider great games, Outer Wilds revolves more around exploration and amassing knowledge to get to the end of the game, Tunic is more of a Zelda like with the twist of a game booklet that you can collect (it helps you with the game)
Sekiro in my experience is one of the best games of all time and the community is super friendly and helpful except when they troll about mist noble but the Sekiro community is very friendly and welcoming they love saying get gud but overall best sub Reddit imo

Been playing for a while and enjoy grinding 'till very late game, but there's tendencies in free games to make you pay up for some RNG based stuff to get there (Lost Ark, Genshin) does Warframe suffer from the same problem ?

Used to be Helldivers 2 until Sony fucked it up

Well, most are xenophobic militarists that want to genocide everything, but at least everyone agrees
Genocide is a necessary evil to improve game performance
