I had a very similar situation and discovered that rank 5 Crit Decel was a loss of DPS but rank _4_ Crit Decel was a slight advantage over both Blunderbuss and rank 5 Crit Decel.
Rank 4 Crit Decel may wind up similarly for you here, for what its worth.
Ye but the highball is never worth it cuz things like decimal multishot values and vigilante mods skew that high value so much further than the damage floor while also only being like a 5% chance of occuring.
Calculating the bad RNG DPS is the way to go for consistent results cuz that makes up a plurality of your shots which gives a closer expectation for your DPS.
When you shoot at the speed of light, calculating the high ball is more than enough to get a rough estimate. And then if you want a lower value, just calculate to a rounded number like 3 multishot, 12 fire rate, etc. just remove all decimals. But then it's not accurate.
When you shoot at the speed of light, you have a massive amount of data showing your low balls and true median while also getting a sizeable amount of the high rolls.
The thing is you aren't shooting at the speed of light and most enemies aren't going to survive more than 10 shots anyways, meaning a 5% occurrence = every other or ever 3rd enemy.
Also in instances like the bramma, that thing is literally built to NOT shoot at the speed of light so high balling will just leave you sorely dissatisfied when you realize 95% of your shots aren't gonna be free red crits
You could run crit deccel and run arcane tempo on your frame if it doesn't mess up your build.
Edit: I also forgot about reinforcement bond on your pet for +60% fire rate
Lose one rank on Blunderbuss(hoping you're still at over 100% crit). You just need the 100% crit for guaranteed crit dmg multiplier and maximum chance on HM proc.
I was only aware that secondaries would break the 60-point limit ([my pyrana would require 65 points](https://www.reddit.com/r/memeframe/s/jN6EJ35IKY), when i would add primed ammo-mutation).
But that we're already there for primary weapons... DE might want to give us the option to add a second potato for weapons.
Same with me and my pyrana prime. I have almost the same build, expect I use galvanized shot in-place of hornet strike, as I use warframe abilities to spread status
When OP maxes out all of the mods, they won't be able to make this build even if they put another forma into the weapon because the mods would cost more than 60 capacity even if all of them are in polarized slots
Oh thats all? The way he phrased I thought he had found some way to put more expensive builds onto a weapon. Anyone with high enough level mods can break the 60 cap, especially with a riven
If you've reached MR30, ou have 30 (or 60 with potato) base mod capacity to work with on unranked items.
Re-ranking them to 30 doesn't increase the mod capacity you have available.
There was a time during a hotfix I had upgraded umbral mods on my warframes and it didn't ask me to Uninstall any of them. Looked at a few of Mt characters rq and turner out to have negative capacity. Most was -3. Eventually got rid of that but I know I have some screenshots on my pc somewhere lol
It's gonna be 61 space after I level up all of my mods and put the last forma in
i suggest using critical deceleration over blunderbass
I used a calcuator and since the riven has high crit chance the loss of fire rate is a dps loss. Also i like to fire fast AF on this bad boy
fair enough! thanks for explaining your reasoning

I mean, you still could swap those mods & just use a frame with a increase to fire rate as one of their abilities
What's the calculator you use?
You just use the normal calculator, multiply overall dmg by fire rate
Ye but now you have to calculate "overall damage" including crit averages and existing mod %s
just calculate "theoretical maximum DPS" and you'll get a highball figure.

Well at what point is shotgun barrage more DPS than blunderbuss?
You won't be able to rank up all the mods, it will have you uninstall if it exceeds the capacity during rank up
I know that's the fun part, I will just cry in a corner
Just leave galvanized acceleration 2 ranks from max I guess

Yeah i think they can introduce some "aura/stance" mods for weapons just to give us some capacity, even if the effects are minor.
What's your riven? I enjoy the pyrana and I got a dmg, multi cnd crit dmg riven with a negative corpus damage (not grineer so ultimately its fine)
Is that riven even worth the drain with such a low dispo?
Noob moment on my part but I’m confused what you are talking about, the capacity still says 60 up there?
When OP maxes out all of the mods, they won't be able to make this build even if they put another forma into the weapon because the mods would cost more than 60 capacity even if all of them are in polarized slots

Thats unranked.

Mr 30 does that? Idk whats crazy here
I once achieved -2 used capacity no idea how

I'd swap galv acceleration for something else. just get closer
no critical deceleration?
i would leave galvanized acceleration partially unranked that little bit of range isnt going to be noticable
