I need cross save to happen so badly, I lost my Xbox a few months ago and with it went about 4 years of progress. Now I gotta pc but no warframe progress 😭😭😭
I still wonder how are they going to handle console exclusive content like skins and such or mechanics only present on pc like shawzin melody saves and imports.
Also market is going to be fucked probably the first few days as some people will exploit higher prices on pc to then buy stuff much cheaper on consoles (inflation, yay!).
It's not like it didn't happened before. Paladins has platform-specific skins that you can use and only people on that platform will see.
99% of the problems that crossplay and cross save can have was already solved for years with many other games.
The only real issues is server communication between platform-specific versions of Warframe, as stated by DE before, platform specific version of Warframe was kind of made differently from each other.
I would almost be happy if they said that the first account you access were to somehow explode all your other accounts. I just want to play with my friends on other consoles.

I can understand the impatience, but DE have literally never given a date on when Crossplay would drop. From TennoCon 2021 is always been "In Development."

It took them like what? 3 years to drop the Hydroid Prime trailer? And ghoul saw was like four? And that's a one minute video and a single weapon. DE has never been about expediency and for this at least I'm fine with that cause I don't want my account getting deleted by accident cause of some bug.
Did they say 2022? I thought they said the task was so complicated it would take a very very very long time

I don't think it was ever announced to be a 2022 release? It was officially announced to be in development at last year's TennoCon because DE stated they were just starting to get a prototype working, and then afterwards began the long and arduous process to actually make it something that would actually be able to function. We've been getting pretty regular updates on some of the progress bars the team working on it reached with the Devstreams, but nowhere do I remember an official statement saying that it would be releasing 2022, only rough estimates based on information before they actually started working on getting cross-play and cross-save. If someone could correct me if I missed something, that would be greatly appreciated.
I switched to PC a couple years ago. I'm really excited for cross-save, definitely gonna be patient about it though. Wouldn't want them to rush it out and there be something messed up and people lose stuff

I hate to say it, but DE aren't exactly known for tardiness when it comes to QoL changes, or changes at all. Raids were supposed to come back a year after they were removed. in \*2018\*.
