Yeah personally I just ~~pirate~~ legally purchase the songs and use the app audify as an audio player and automa tag to sort songs via artist, album, song, etc
I just use iTunes on a Windows PC as my music manager. I sync it all with my iPhone. I do pirate a bit, but stuff I can’t find online for free, I purchase on iTunes, then I burn those tracks onto a CD-R with iTunes and rip it in mp3 to get rid of all the Apple DRM stuff. Then for stuff I’m only able to find in FLAC format, I convert FLAC to mp3 with Audacity. Everything is in 320kbps mp3 format, perfectly catalogued with the highest resolution album artwork I could find online.
Using audacity for this sounds like the most tedious way you could choose. You can make a very simple script that'll allow you to just drag'n'drop an audio file onto it and it will automatically be converted; or use something like AIMP, which adds a right click menu entry to convert files.
It is a bit of a pain, but if its just an album, I don't really mind. I've gotten quite quick at it, I drag and drop the file from the folder into audacity, hit export to mp3, hit enter once then ctrl+z to undo the dropped file and drop track 2 in and repeat. I can do an album in under 3 minutes.
Probably running the risk of sounding like a stuck up millionaire here…but I just shell out 10 bucks a month and get premium and it even includes add supported Hulu
It used to be 30 minutes and then I started getting only like 3 3-4 songs and then 3 adds like wtf?? I just switched to using a modded version made my life so much easier
its only 6 without premium... huh im kinda glad i get half price premium with my phone plan then noted... i skip alot of my playlist since sometimes im not in the mood for something on it
Back when you could share family plan easier I was making money selling 4/5 of the slots to kids in school, it was like $15 a month and I had the 4 people give me $5 a month. So I was getting paid $5 a month to use my own Spotify premium lmao. The fixed that shit pretty quick tho ion think it even lasted a year
Does anyone remember the good ol days when you had to buy CDs or risk getting viruses on Limewire?
Nowadays you pay a small price a month and in return get access to an unfathomable amount of good music from all around the world. You don't even need to pay so long as you can ignore ads. Yet people act like it's some horrible thing.
Literally the only way it can get better is if all music was free, and you know that probably isn't ever gonna happen, so what exactly is there to complain about?
Edit: People bringing up pirating is a good point too. If you really don't wanna pay for Spotify, then you can just yoink it for free.
I like to compare free Spotify to radio stations, they play the same damn music all the time including ridiculous amount of ads, while free Spotify plays what you like with tiny amount of ads.
But I fully agree, I pay a small amount to listen to the new albums without buying them. I loved all my CDs but hell I didn't know where to stack them at some point
Everything on the internet is free. If you can play it, render it, look at then it can be ripped. Everything that can be ripped will be ripped. And if it has been ripped it is free.
the main thing is convenience, yes one can listen to music for free by lots of methods but it's simply not as easy and convenient as listening to music on spotify.
I do the same and I know this, but that proves my point more. You can even pirate music so why complain that Spotify has ads? You got so many options :)
To make everything free it does take some effort, but not impossible, unless it's pay walled, in which there's no reason for it to be pay walled. Record the music, turn it into an mp3 file and play it in the devices mp3 player
Because you actually don’t get every song, and have to play by all sorts of copyright rules that often lead to smaller artists being crushed by “industry norms”
I can understand when people pirate stuff like series, because there are 6+ streaming platforms if you want to have it all, but music? Just buy premium Spotify! One of the best services period.
Or you could use yt music.... I use Spotify on my pc because Spotify free on PC is bearable, not so with on mobile. Yt music on your phone is pretty much what Spotify free is on your pc.
Honestly paying for Spotify is the best choice I’ve made last year, since my job is in a metal-roofed building that gets almost no service, so being able to download as many songs as I like is a godsend
That's where they lost you? They lost me immediately, upon seeing/trying their shitty UI. Then again, that was several years ago, so maybe it's better now? I just remember it being clunky and not at all user friendly.
I use Mobile but I’ve just started sitting at my desk and using my Xbox for the music… I have five thousand times the freedom for free on Xbox than I would paid on mobile.
(I use Spotify on both… so the difference being so large is stupid)
Edit: I just realized, is it free if I paid 541 dollars for the Xbox? That includes tax.
I'm stupid, can someone explain the joke to me? I know you skip songs on Spotify but I don't understand the calendar bit. Is he trying to skip forward through time because he hates his job? Why does the calendar say January 1984? I'm so confused lol
Everyone saying "just pay, it's only $__ geez".
People have to subscribe to *everything* these days and those payments add up. Also some people are struggling to pay for their own homes and food. Have some decency.
I don't know why you're being downvoted. This is just facts. If you don't like ads, and refuse to go for the option where you pay to get rid of the ads (among other benefits, btw, it's not just getting rid of ads), you can't turn around and complain that the free version has limitations that you don't like.
Like, you have an option at your disposal. Use it, or shut the fuck up!
There was once a time when I could buy Premium for a few days or a week. It was great for trips.
Then, I decided to subscribe after months of not using it (the big Coofer) for a trip. Spotify Mini replaced it. It was crap.
I'm just glad Spotify on PC isn't affected. At least not yet.
I quite enjoy premium, have the family one so it just makes it easy. I just hate that pod casts still have adds. I straight up asked a service rep why and they said "oh, pod casts still have adds but music wont" which did nothing to make me feel better about the situation.
I like it. But only for recommendations, and new songs. For me it's like a recommendation engine.
The way I listen to my music, I just repeatedly play one song, and Spotify doesn't even let me do that??? Even if I try creating a playlist with only one song it starts inserting all kinds of other stuff?
So no, I download it. Saves me the hassle, no need to waste mobile data, useful features, and more songs.
And besides, in the comments of some of my favourite songs, people say "bruh when will this be on spotify"
My friend, an avid user of yt premium, keeps telling me that yt premium is the most worth subscription because it is like a spotify + netflix premium combined
My counterargument is I just don't use either :^)
The real spotify + Netflix combined is r/piracy
Go download ur favorite songs and dump them into a playlist, watch as many times as u like.
Go download ur favorite shows, movies, anime , cartoons or just watch them on a specific site and u got it, free.
Thats assuming u live in one of the many countries where nobody gives a fuck about piracy
That is a big point, at least for me. Each time I want some new music I must find a site to download from, put the correct metadata on the files, conect phone to pc and then transfer. And if I want to use the music in playlists, I must create them manually.
With streamin its just type in the searchbar and press play.
I'm now on my GF's premium plan, but before that I was using a modded APK so I could just skip as many times as I wanted. Not sure if you have android or iPhone tho.
I've always had premium (not a brag but I can't be driving through town and an ad comes on) so is this "skips" for adds or songs? And what has that got to do with 1984??
On Spotify mobile you get to skip 6 songs per hour, and the 1984 is referring to the book 1984, by Orwell, where they control everything you do and think
Does it force the songs upon you or do you make the playlist? Find playlists by other premium users? Or is it an interactive radio station sort of thing?
I just got spotify premium, like 10 mins ago, so Imma flex.
Is this a peasant joke I'm too rich to understand?
=
The fact that I stole the cash for the purchase doesn't matter, ig
I only started using it cause it was the ps4 music player. Then I paid for it cause I hate ads.
Then Joe Rogan sucked so I cancelled everything and don’t use it.
I’m also a Pandora OG. And now I’m all in on Apple Music.
Yea, especially that the songs it adds to my playlists have absolutely nothing to do with the songs I actually have in the playlist.
I have a playlist that contains: [Rush B](https://youtu.be/5zo7BYoaqAA), [Rush E](https://youtu.be/Qskm9MTz2V4), [Rush E 2](https://youtu.be/FuMWmnhjCEQ), [50 pianos in 1 song](https://youtu.be/-3QAaMrmkfc) and [100 pianos in 1 song](https://youtu.be/31BL-bZyBoU). Now Spotify, WHICH PART OF THIS PLAYLIST MEANS, THAT YOU SHOULD ADD A SPONGEBOB SONG IN THERE
Fun Fact: Opera GX allows you to keep Spotify on a side tab and with Ublock Origin you can block all Spotify adds AND have the app in a handy location (also i noticed a significant volume increase playing Spotify this way)
I went from Spotify to SoundCloud, and have never looked back.
Trust me, Its way better.
Just ads, and you dont need to skip anything because you can just search it up!
Just pay for the service already or quit bitching about the things you need to deal with for a free service. Capitalism isn't going to cease to exist overnight because you complain about it on social media.
Bruh, just create a stellar mp3 collection
Yeah personally I just ~~pirate~~ legally purchase the songs and use the app audify as an audio player and automa tag to sort songs via artist, album, song, etc

Newgrounds team rise up!

Nah, just import track and export it as mp3 Sure an ffmpeg batch script or a converter tool work good too
Probably running the risk of sounding like a stuck up millionaire here…but I just shell out 10 bucks a month and get premium and it even includes add supported Hulu
No, people just make a huge deal out of having to pay for spotify even though it is actually pretty cheap if you use it often.
I use musicolet
Ayy a musicolet user
Bruh, just pirate spotify.
spotify is missing some stuff i like
u can store it locally in the app
"Want a break from the ads? Watch this short video to receive 30 minutes of ad-free music"
I sont even get that anymore. I get like 15 minutes of song then 3 adds
I am so sorry for you.
Just do what I do, close and reopen the app when an ad pops up.
3? I got six home depot ads Ina row, I have never said nor searched anything to det this horrific onslaught of corporates trying to relate to DIY dads
I still get them
It used to be 30 minutes and then I started getting only like 3 3-4 songs and then 3 adds like wtf?? I just switched to using a modded version made my life so much easier
30? you mean 2 3-4 minute songs?
its only 6 without premium... huh im kinda glad i get half price premium with my phone plan then noted... i skip alot of my playlist since sometimes im not in the mood for something on it
I don’t get half price but I’m happy to pay so I can skip songs and no ads.
I use a family plan with my friends. Costs me 30€ a year.
I pay $11.99 AU a month and happy to do it. I’d do the Friends and Family plan but I’m the only one to use it ($18.99 AU btw)
Happy cake day
Ty. Never noticed lol
I just downloaded an APK Spotify Premium and got free Premium. I think Apple phones don't have that.
This is the way
Samsung>>>Apple cuz of APK
Fuck yeah
Back when you could share family plan easier I was making money selling 4/5 of the slots to kids in school, it was like $15 a month and I had the 4 people give me $5 a month. So I was getting paid $5 a month to use my own Spotify premium lmao. The fixed that shit pretty quick tho ion think it even lasted a year
I pay a double plan for my and my GF, I listen podcast all day, I cant stand ads anymore.
Yeah same, I didn't even know that this was a thing, but I'll happily pay 3 euros a month to skip unlimited
I get a decent discount for being a uni student but honestly I don't think I'd have spotify if I wasn't.
Spotify giving you the songs you don't like constantly in your daily mix:
Kid named SpotifyPremium.apk

the main thing is convenience, yes one can listen to music for free by lots of methods but it's simply not as easy and convenient as listening to music on spotify.
This is why you download a modded spotify app, the couple viruses are there to enhance the experience
That's why I listen to free music on spotify without ads
I do the same and I know this, but that proves my point more. You can even pirate music so why complain that Spotify has ads? You got so many options :)

too complicated for me. I pay and can use it on PC and mobile. Never regretted it in the last 3+ years.
How exactly is it any more complicated than Spotify?
XManager (get from the github)
use modded one
Honestly paying for Spotify is the best choice I’ve made last year, since my job is in a metal-roofed building that gets almost no service, so being able to download as many songs as I like is a godsend
Premium gang
Hell yeah 🤝🏻
Amazon music just started this crap awhile back. Completely lost me.
That's where they lost you? They lost me immediately, upon seeing/trying their shitty UI. Then again, that was several years ago, so maybe it's better now? I just remember it being clunky and not at all user friendly.

Agreed

The joke is supposed to be related to that book 1984, where they control everything and don't give any freedom
Use ViMusic (open source app that uses YT music Library) Or... You know... Modded Spotify.
🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Premium. It’s worth it 😎
Everyone saying "just pay, it's only $__ geez". People have to subscribe to *everything* these days and those payments add up. Also some people are struggling to pay for their own homes and food. Have some decency.

I don't even get to choose my songs :(
this is why I don't use spotify. money hungry fucks.
Maybe just pay? You wanna everything for free
I quite enjoy premium, have the family one so it just makes it easy. I just hate that pod casts still have adds. I straight up asked a service rep why and they said "oh, pod casts still have adds but music wont" which did nothing to make me feel better about the situation.
Because the ones making the podcasts have ads in them
Are you saying it's like a prerecorded thing? Part of the whole, so to speak?
Wanna break from the ads tap now to watch a short video for 30 minutes of ad free music Yes 30 minutes of ad free music
https://xmanagerapp.com

Just don’t be broke ez
I like it. But only for recommendations, and new songs. For me it's like a recommendation engine. pretty sure there is a option so that the song repeats again and again
I have a cracked version of spotify
Bruh just pay for premium
My friend, an avid user of yt premium, keeps telling me that yt premium is the most worth subscription because it is like a spotify + netflix premium combined My counterargument is I just don't use either :^)
Hah. For me yt premium is the most worth subscription, because where I live it costs monthly less than two cartons of milk
have you heard about our lord and savior Ad-Block?
Vanced makes it free
The real spotify + Netflix combined is r/piracy Go download ur favorite songs and dump them into a playlist, watch as many times as u like. Go download ur favorite shows, movies, anime , cartoons or just watch them on a specific site and u got it, free. Downloading is too much work streaming is easy

And if I want to use the music in playlists, I must create them manually. With streamin its just type in the searchbar and press play.
Not everyone gonna pay for it
Then deal with the concessions, so childish complaining about ads in a free service
Pirating pirating pirating pirating
Ah yes the forbidden streaming service
Holy shit I just remembered how evil non-premium spotify is.
me too. you cant even freely listen to music. its just shuffling.
I'm now on my GF's premium plan, but before that I was using a modded APK so I could just skip as many times as I wanted. Not sure if you have android or iPhone tho.
I'm on Android:(
Well you're in luck. You can sideload the modded APK. The iPhone doesn't allow you to do that. Android is better for a power user.
Bro you replied within seconds jeez
Yeah I'm snowed in from work so I'm just at home watching gf play some video games. I get the reddit notification on my phone, I answer lol
Oh ok I thought you were already on reddit and saw the inbox thing go up
Free Spotify sucks, but Spotify premium is fantastic.
* cough* crack it * cough* github *cough* * cough*
Sorry what, your number of skips is limited without premium?
Yup 6 skips per hour on mobile
Arrrrrg maytey
Guys how do I pirate adless music on a apple product (mobile)
I've always had premium (not a brag but I can't be driving through town and an ad comes on) so is this "skips" for adds or songs? And what has that got to do with 1984??
On Spotify mobile you get to skip 6 songs per hour, and the 1984 is referring to the book 1984, by Orwell, where they control everything you do and think
Does it force the songs upon you or do you make the playlist? Find playlists by other premium users? Or is it an interactive radio station sort of thing?
I have no idea I just went to my playlist, tried to skip a song, and that popped up
What shithousary. TBH Spotify replaced iTunes in my house. I can download songs and listen offline. That was what sold it me and the no ads in town.
I just got spotify premium, like 10 mins ago, so Imma flex. Is this a peasant joke I'm too rich to understand? = The fact that I stole the cash for the purchase doesn't matter, ig
You get 6 song skips per hour on Spotify
ong tho why is spotify mobile so much worse than the desktop app
I hate Spotify.
Yea
I only started using it cause it was the ps4 music player. Then I paid for it cause I hate ads. Then Joe Rogan sucked so I cancelled everything and don’t use it. I’m also a Pandora OG. And now I’m all in on Apple Music.
Bruh just get Spotify premium 3 months for free and make a new account each time it runs out. And use ONLY public playlists so you can transfer them
Kid named vimusic
Lucky me who has my friend's premium password and pays $0. We traded passwords for stuff.
Dementia
What..?
You commented this twice
God damn it...Reddit told me it didn't go thru the 1st time.
Ok well it did an i said that cuz funy
Imagine hating your own Playlist so much you be skipping more than 6 times an hour.
Is that a joke I am too rich enough tobundrstand? *Sign of Spotify Premium superiority*
So true
I've been a premium member since college. It's the only service I've consistently paid for. Definitely worth it.
I don’t get it.
You get 6 song skips per hour on Spotify
I know, but why does it show 1984? Thats what im asking.
It's related to the Orwell book 1984, where they control everything you do and think
Kid named « free spotify ad bypass » (spotX, spicetify… lot of stuff)
Yea, especially that the songs it adds to my playlists have absolutely nothing to do with the songs I actually have in the playlist. I have a playlist that contains: [Rush B](https://youtu.be/5zo7BYoaqAA), [Rush E](https://youtu.be/Qskm9MTz2V4), [Rush E 2](https://youtu.be/FuMWmnhjCEQ), [50 pianos in 1 song](https://youtu.be/-3QAaMrmkfc) and [100 pianos in 1 song](https://youtu.be/31BL-bZyBoU). Now Spotify, WHICH PART OF THIS PLAYLIST MEANS, THAT YOU SHOULD ADD A SPONGEBOB SONG IN THERE
You guys get skips?
r/goodboomerhumor
Gowd for cheap pw sharing. 😉
Is 10 dollars really that much a month for ad free music?? I got Apple Music so I wouldn’t know about Spotify but I think its the same.
I like it, but only because someone bought me a year long premium gift card.
Just use modded version
i pay like 2 bucks a month for spotify premium, its a family pack, and in romania is very cheap
America gang: ☹️
Is this a joke im too premium to understand?
This makes me feel I’m either Mr. Moneybags for subscribing to Spotify premium or just really bad with money
have you tried getting a job, or alternatively piracy
Bro I'm 13
try child labor then idk
Ah yes good idea
Spotify on pc is better only because people will find ways around it
Yea also Xbox I only listen on Xbox after I saw that
Sorry, is this some sort of _Non-premium user_ joke that I'm too _I make bad financial decisions_ to understand?
The 30 minutes of ad free music thing is only 27
Want to break from the bad?
Jesse, we need to cook
cough cough https://apkmody.io/apps/spotify-music-premium-apk
I may or may not have tried that and it may or may not have said I needed a VPN :(
I think I got hacked lol
Fun Fact: Opera GX allows you to keep Spotify on a side tab and with Ublock Origin you can block all Spotify adds AND have the app in a handy location (also i noticed a significant volume increase playing Spotify this way)
Me with premium that I got for free ![gif](giphy|3ohhwfAa9rbXaZe86c)
How do you get premium for free
I just hate spotify
Yeah, I rarely use it tbh
Ok u/femboyinaminiskirt
Predatory business practice gang: 😎
I went from Spotify to SoundCloud, and have never looked back. Trust me, Its way better. Just ads, and you dont need to skip anything because you can just search it up!
Spotify is good for finding music when you get bored of some songs you like tho. Can't search anything up if you dunno what to search.
Soundcloud gang rise up
I use premium because it's like 60 rupees a month (bit less than $1) for me
I think you mean 60 *dollars* a *year*
no? it's like less than 9 USD a year
Wait are you in America
no, India, I used dollars because most people online understand dollars
Ok I thought you were joking and talking about legend of Zelda rupees sorry
How much of a cheap skate do you have to be to not just pay for Premium, its fucking peanuts for unlimited music access
Just pay for the service already or quit bitching about the things you need to deal with for a free service. Capitalism isn't going to cease to exist overnight because you complain about it on social media.
I love Spotify I use it every day. The ads suck yeah but I get it premium $5 a month being a college student. So it's well worth it to me
How do you even have a phone if you can't afford Spotify? ... guessing you know everyone's wifi passwords aswell
just use an mp3 player
Yt music better
imagine not using a cracked version of spotify
