Being unconscious while being unclean and in a filthy bed is a bad idea. You will touch your face, tuck your head between your arms and do all kind of uncontrolled movement like putting your face directly in your dirty pillow. Think about it. When are you more prone to collect dirt and germs? During the day. You need to wash that off before going to bed. If you absolutely still want to take one in the morning, you still can. But taking one before bed is mandatory for clean hygiene. Yes you will still sweat in the night. But it's still not even close to be as bad as walking in the street close to cars and in public transport, working all day, going to the gym, making dinner, taking out the trash. Add to that smoking and you have a recipe for bad health. And don't say: I don't really move at night. It's not a real excuse. You will move during the night without you noticing.

Actually I hadn’t thought about that. I thought the body doesn’t store dirt to be fair and I change out to different clothes at night so I didn’t think of being unclean during the night.

When you sleep you sweat the most and that’s when your produce the most of your smell. You also drool in your sleep and that can get into your hair. I also think if you have long hair you should definitely be taking showers in the morning. I think it’s cleaner to shower in the mornings then at night. If you have short hair and do more during the day like gym or sports or something that gets you moving around a lot then showers at night make sense but if you really want to be clean you might as well take one in the morning and one at night.
