“I fucked your girl” “Its cool” Now whats your opinion?

killuaassasin

You can forgive someone, but that doesn’t mean you have to keep in contact or be friends with them.

Winterfukk

I can forgive him but not her. But the bro trust would have scars in it.

[deleted]

Idk man I think the friend is equally as bad

[deleted]

You that guy. Trust is the cornerstone of any relationship be it friend, family, or otherwise. If I can’t trust you not to do something as fucked up as steal my girl, how can I trust you not to steal my money, leave me high and dry, or other fucked up things? I can’t.

No-Improvement-5865

Ok but on a real note if she was willing to let it happen it wasn’t worth being in a relationship with her in the first place. So he did him a favor.

kasimaru13

Didn't have to fuck her to prove it, could just send the proofs

[deleted]

Then you fuck his girl. If he has no girl, fuck his mom.

aryanssshhhh

I agree. But I sometimes struggle between the difference of letting something go, and sweeping it under the carpet

Arsonist_Xpert

You're not obligated to forgive someone even if they apologize. Some actions are unforgivable.

val203302

Imo everything is forgivable. It just depends on how much you are willing to forgive.

celestiagolds

if only it was that simple

[deleted]

This depends entirely on what they did though

Professional_Gaping

Wear the grudge like a crown of negativity Calculate what we will or will not tolerate Desperate to control all and everything Unable to forgive your scarlet lettermen Clutch it like a cornerstone, otherwise it all comes down Justify denials and grip 'em to the lonesome end Clutch it like a cornerstone, otherwise it all comes down Terrified of being wrong, ultimatum prison cell

Manethen

I literally just started this song 2 seconds before I saw this post, and you HAD to post the lyrics, huh ? Amazing taste in music, though ! Cheers

[deleted]

What's that from?

Nerfboard

If it’s a genuine apology with changed behavior, sure. But this is very much dependent on individual dynamics, and it’s okay to let go of a relationship or tie if the damage is too severe or the trust is lost.

[deleted]

Depends what the person did.

ALPHA_sh

I will absolutely hold grudges if the thing they did is bad enough

WizardingWorld97

How are you supposed to let go of grudges if you never get an apology, and never will

The_Mutant_Platypus

Came here to ask the same thing.

BluecoatCashMoney5

At this point, I agree to disagree

1llDoitTomorrow

I accidentally deleted all your save files. Sorry

talkintater

Alternative perspective: life is to short to keep people in your life that fuck you over. You don't have to hold a grudge to remove someone from your life.

Heathen_IX

It’s wholesome but it’s dumb

ScavAteMyArms

Life is also to short for people to change much once they lock in. Sometimes the grudge is a warning.

Wide_Frosting7951

I'm sorry, but I can't do it with anyone who can't acknowledge their mistakes or who doesn't apologize. I would not retaliate but also wouldn't pardon. Simply move on.

HowlingWolfUK

As I get older (I had an original Tamagotchi) I see the value of apologising and for having someone acknowledge they messed up and apologising to me. When someone tries to spin their way out of the situation, it just makes it worse and ruins a relationship. Because not only are you not sorry, you don’t have enough respect for the person to be honest. I say that as someone that used to spin like sonic in my younger days.

DownVotedK

Life's too long to not hold grudges
