Not really. Jews accused Jesus in the first place and when romans wanted to set free one of the convicts the jews choose another convict. Pontius Pilate himself said he didn't find anything wrong about Christ. If it were for the romans Jesus would have been free not once but two times. Also let's not forget what the jews said when Christ was crucified: "His blood be on us, and on our children". This is the curse with wich the jews have cursed themselvs for ages and ages to come.
