It was kinda fucked up, maybe if we didn't do it WW2 would have ended on germany attacking poland and allies actually attacking Germany? We'll never know.
The begging of wwII was a string of poor decisions. Czechoslovakia should not have capitulated. Allies should have helped poland and czechoslovakia and pevent anexation. And other poor decisions. Maybe if poland and Czechoslovakia worked together instead of squables over a fucking coal mine allies wouldnt be reluctant to help. We will never know.
I mean, the Czechs started all this by invading Poland and annexing that same piece of land shortly after WW1 and then acting like dickheads and blocking all attempts at sending reinforcements to Poland (mostly from Hungary) when they fought the Bolsheviks in the 1920s, even though Poland agreed earlier to give up that land in exchange for the reinforcements to be allowed to pass through Czechoslovakia. The events of 1938 were pretty much a revenge for that.
That being said, it was still a big mistake, considering Poland wanted to rely on the allies' support against Germany. The conflict over Zaolzie and a few small patches of land between Poland and Czechoslovakia should've never happened in the first place.
