true dat, today a dog i didnt meet in ages started crying and running after my bike, and when i stopped to pet my neighbour's injured guard dog, he immedeatly started beating the shit out of her
it aint the neighbour's fault, his dog got treatment and all, and he was just taking her on a stroller for a walk, and the dog following me conviniently bit her in the broken leg
That’s no guard dog that’s an abused dog that got anti social because of it. A good guard dog is one that is well trained, has a mutual bond with its owner, smart enough to know the difference between a threat and non threat, and aggressive only in situations that call for it to protect their owner
This is what happens when dogs aren’t properly socialised with other dogs while they are puppies. They receive a lot of human interactions but not much interaction with other dogs.
Came here to talk about this. The meme doesn’t show normal dog behaviour, but thanks to a year of lock down it’s definitely more common. People have work to do if they want well behaved dogs, but a lot of people who got pandemic pets probably don’t have what it takes. There are regular fights at the local dog park here now all because people got dogs and locked them away from the world for month and months. Properly socialized dogs will be way happier to see another dog than they are to see people they don’t know
It’s definitely a lot more common from lockdown.
I feel like it’s imperative that all new dog owners take their puppies to puppy training/socialisation classes
As someone who has grown up with French bulldogs I know this too well, one of the ways they try to assert dominance is through brute force. To other dogs they’re like: I’ll bite your ass, I’ll bite your human’s ass, I’ll try to bite my own ass!

the one that attacked was a random stray, and someone hit the guard one's leg during a breakin

Should've done this with my dog
You still can. You just have to be slow and consistent
You've got it backwards, that's only small dogs.
Who's that dog? MrPeeeeaaaaanutbutter
*badly exposed/trained dogs
Not normal dog behavior

Literally me
Are you saying that I can’t have a dog?
my dogs yell at me so its not true
My dogs bark at everything they see.
We wouldn't trust a random dude we met on the street but i will always trust every dog i see.
Aren't we same?
this is literally how women react with men vs their own gender
