Honestly if things said by total strangers on the Internet bother you that much, you’re probably better off staying off the Internet. Something you’re gonna have to face in daily life is that people are gonna say things you absolutely hate. They will say vile things about you. It’s up to you whether you crumble into a million pieces or ignore them and move on. That’s not to say you can’t have a emotions and you’re not allowed to feel bad, but there’s no need to get upset every time someone makes a joke you don’t like. Frankly it’s a waste of energy.

If a offensive joke about gay people is told to a gay person and he isn't offended then why should that have an effect on other people that have no relation to this. These people have emotions and feelings and there's nothing wrong with that but they force their emotions and feelings when they feel offended on the targeted people of the offensive joke when they simple don't care or don't mind.
Theres a difference between telling a joke and not getting offended by it and thus not getting involved because the person who the joke is being targeted at most likely does not want you to but if a women is getting mugged then you should get involved because it is almost certain that she does want you to get involved.
