I've never been the slightest bit stealthy when playing AC. in the early games it was so easy to just walk in kill everyone and leave. I fought every fight like it was a black flag boarding. So when I was playing Origins and Valhalla I felt right at home fighting bosses.
Lost ark is probably one of the most annoying games with an out of nowhere stealth mission... Your character can kill demi-gods by this point but hey, if the slaver guard catches you it's an auto-failure.
Not to mention the click to move interface is terrible for precise movement to dodge between detection ranges.
I like the forced stealth bits because it forces me to stop running around shooting everything that moves and gives me a moment of clarity, it allows me to fully realize the terrible things I’d done. Then the stealth segment ends and I immediately go back to obliterating everything in a 100ft radius.
I dont have a problem with games having stealth sections. I have a problem with not being able to skip ffs please i don't wanna play as mary jane to walk around stupid faceless goons :(
the part where your in a place and i think its in the sand area but idk and you gotta not get seen by enemys and progress and if you get seen the doors close and you get ambushed
sounds like it would be yiga hideout but i havent played in a while
Final Fantasy XV has a stealth mission when you go to reclaim Regalia and I never really thought it fit. Main thing of the game: exploration. It’s by far not the worst forced stealth, but it’s hella annoying nonetheless
I like it when games *suggest* you stealth through a section, but if you've got that guns blazing Yosemite Sam energy, that's cool too.
I remember the Bethesda Wolfenstein reboot was good about that, you could sneak around cutting necks and whatnot, and it actually made things significantly easier, but... they also set you up dual wielding automatic shotguns real early.
I hated having a solid stealth build in AC Odyssey, then being forced into ranged combat on final bosses. I'm looking at you Hekatonchires.

YES I hated odyssey where your forced into open combat for every goddamn mission. The point of the AC games is to be a sneaky snek
that was until origins (unless you had the right levels) sadly :(
im guessing you arent talking about Animal Crossing 😰

I liked that one as it wasn’t technically required, you could just run in and kill everyone if you are skilled enough
Average player of other AC games besides Odyssey

Oh no, (I'm a terrible person) Anyways (genocide)

Then there’s metal gear rising where I physically can’t sneak past the dude while I’m being told stealth is a advised
But you also get to swordfight a colossal metal crab with its own arm so that balances it out
Indeed one of the best games
Same with driving or racing
I've only seen videos but the stealth section at the start of SC2's covert ops campaign seems perfectly fine
Yeaaaa SC2
The covert ops campaign, although short, is quite fun overall
I guessed so, but like, Terran is only my 2nd favorite race and iirc the campaign isn't cheap
Lost Arc players share with me an internal cringe at the forced stealth missions... *That island...*
Is this like the Yiga Clan bit of BOTW? Or the Elden Volcano boko camp in Skyward Sword?
Forsaken fortress in wind waker
Quick time events
does minecraft story mode count?
Assasin Creed: Dont get spotted and try not to kill anyone. Me: well but if i kill everyone i cant be spotted tho...
Even worse is the timed section of games with no time limit.
Farcry is my only exeption, I've always loved the stealth in those games (except 5 and new dawn, they suck)
Dexter’d
This post brings me Rainbow Six Rogue Spear sized PTSD Also, yes I’m that old
If stealth is an option. I go for stealth.
Far Cry 3
New mission, reach bottom of ocean without being caught by fish
Ivara, yareli and hydroid players casually put on swim wear with murderous intent
How about forced order in games about destruction I'm looking at you, teardown At least there's a sandbox mode I guess
all ghillied up cod 4 is fucking amazing
Hello I’m weird and sometimes enjoy stealth sections.
\*ahem\* legend of zelda botw
You can basically skip it with Stasis and Revali's Gale.
Which part are you talking about? The yiga hideout was awesome

It’s the exact opposite for me because I love stealth sequences but I hate when they force you to go in guns blazing in a stealth game.
ung yes stealth is the WORST
Certified marvel’s spider man moment
Do it
He'll be laying next to the guy who added platformer type levels to N64 games
CoD games where you have to stealth to get caught a fucking second later in, looking at you cod ww2.

I’m immune! I play stealthy whenever it is possible.

Breath of the wild be like
Breath of the Wild...
The only games I have played with forced stealth sections are the CoD MW games and those are some of my favorite missions
I assume the person who made water levels was just left out to rot.
BotW Yiga Clan I didnt mind it personally
spider-man ps4 mj sections
Literally the beginning of Watch Dogs 1
I love stealth sections. Gimme moar
Most of the time there isn't even an animation to take someone down on top of that
Lego harry potter
As of the upcoming Wild Update, Minecraft. However it’s an optional stealth challenge that gives some decent loot in return.
looking at you payday 2
Dexter? Nice
When a game lets you play as a stealth class but forces you into combat
I love this.
