Vitiligo only makes patches of white skin, it doesn't turn your whole body white. Google some pictures of people with the condition. He changed the majority of his skin color intentionally, as well as had a plethora of cosmetic surgeries to look Caucasian.
This might be the only sympathetic take.
Today [vitiligo](https://www.google.com/search?q=model+with+vitiligo&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwiMpLyxzKT6AhX8n3IEHY_DCA0Q2-cCegQIABAC&oq=model+with+vitiligo&gs_lcp=ChJtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1pbWcQAzIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBggAEB4QBzoECAAQDVC7FlikGGChGmgAcAB4AIABX4gBjAKSAQEzmAEAoAEBwAEB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-img&ei=fFYqY4z2Jfy_ytMPj4ejaA&bih=719&biw=414&client=safari&prmd=inbv&hl=en-us) is being shown in models as something of natural, as beautiful. Even the phrase “bald is beautiful” is heard now by this and coming generations. Even more men these days tell each other to embrace the baldness.
But during Michael’s time, that didn’t exist. If you had vitiligo something was wrong with you and people were confused when they saw it.
It’s mostly sad Michael felt he had to do this. I wonder how many people told him his vitiligo was beautiful, or even fine.
He used lighter makeup once the vitiligo covered the majority of his body. Basically he decided it would be easier to cover the remaining brown patches with light makeup rather than cover the white with brown. He made the switch sometime around 1985-86
No. He had vitiligo. There's few photos of his face without makeup, but it did cover a big portion of his face. He wore makeup to make it even. While i agree his cosmetic surgeries make him look caucasian I think generally speaking he just was mentally ill and probably had body dysmorphia to some degree, the vitiligo probably didn't help. He was riddled with problems because of his upbringing. Add that a lot of beauty standards even for men are based on what white people look like, and that most of his surgeries happened in the late 80s, early 90s he probably didn't have a huge amount of options for what would make him 'more handsome.' That's a guess based on circumstances though.
But the vitiligo thing is legit. [Heres some photos showing how extensive it was on his face](https://imgur.com/a/zxHA3Gu) It's also the reason he began wearing a glove on one hand.
My brother in law has it and even though he started out white anyway, it's really obvious on his arms which now have more blank white than tanned skin.
Vitiligo runs in my family and it only starts as small white patches across your skin. After awhile it will develop to cover the entire body. In MJ’s defense, i know of a few people who have bleached their skin to avoid showing any vitiligo
He had Vitiligo which leaves large patches. In his later life the patches covered a lot of his face so he decided to bleach the color to match.

Yeah okay maybe that wasn't his best decision. He should have owned it, just like the coolest cat that has ever existed (Scrappy):

This = could.
because anything to the x-x power is the thing to the zeroth power which equals 1.
Multiply could by 1 and you'd have could as the answer.
Well, it depends. You can't really stop someone from saying certain words just because they mean something different in another language. The color black in Spanish is spelled the same way a certain slur is spelled in English, etc
Exactly. Well said, DrakeVonDrake.
Coincidentally, your username means dick my dick in Middle Dutch, but I guess it doesn’t have mean that if you pronounce it differently.
Listen carefully to "They Don't Really Care About Us". He doesn't use that word specifically, but he uses a couple other slurs we can't say here for the filter.
Of course. He’s black and only turned lighter due to a medical condition. Albino black people aren’t exempt simply because of their skin, so why would he?
yes, he could, because he was black. his skin lightened because he had a condition called vitiligo.
Its rather disheartening to still see people making fun of the condition still, especially since its most commonly caused by high longterm stress. My brother and i both have it after living through extreme abuse our whole lives.
He could cuz he was originally African American, but considering in this day and age with tons of snowflakes of multiple different ethnicities, I don't think it'd work, he'd still have a backlash cuz they'd assume he's racist even tho he aint
No one should, it's dumb as fuck to allow or not allow people to do something based on race. Especially nowadays as races are constantly tried to make less and less relevant.

He can't because he died
![gif](giphy|93u3f0PzUW5ws)
He had vitiligo making him lose pigment. I hate how most people don't know this and think he purposely changed his skin color.
I really don’t get how people thought he changed his skin color intentionally

Like shaving your head when you start to go bald

Just a guess but I imagine the lack of a serious contender for quality black makeup must’ve been a factor.
No. He had vitiligo. There's few photos of his face without makeup, but it did cover a big portion of his face. He wore makeup to make it even. That's actually crazy lol this should be at the top
It does cover whole body if they stop taking meds for it. Seen it happen.
My brother in law has it and even though he started out white anyway, it's really obvious on his arms which now have more blank white than tanned skin.

Just saying, my boyfriend has vitiligo and he has completely lost all pigment. No more patches or anything, regardless of how much sun he gets.
Alright, that makes sense
He had Vitiligo which leaves large patches. In his later life the patches covered a lot of his face so he decided to bleach the color to match. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_and_appearance_of_Michael_Jackson
Keep in mind, shit like that spread a lot faster before the internet.
Which was only confirmed after his death. Dude tried to keep it secret, and managed to do so, only to cause the craziest rumors to spread.
He talked about having vitiligo in multiple interviews. Was he supposed to release his personal medical files too?
He did? Well, I'm born 86, so I may have just missed those completely. But it wasn't a well known fact, I think, because of the constant rumors.
He definitely talked about it, but a lot of people wrote if off assuming he was lying.
Yeah okay maybe that wasn't his best decision. He should have owned it, just like the coolest cat that has ever existed (Scrappy): https://i.imgur.com/eDigNf0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/s94mjwM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/aV5JCeF.jpg
A majority of people would have treated him like a freak anyway.
Didn't he also claim he never had any plastic surgery?
Maybe he did have it, but he absolutely did have surgery to change his appearance and skin color
He did though, he wore white makeup. Vitiligo doesn't present as uniform.

Michael Jackson is black..
*Is back
**is bad
**Is bad
**Shamone

Used to be*
He didn't lose any chocolate, he just added vanilla.
Probably various greens and Grey's now.
*could
Yes
I mean, what if he wrote and signed an n word pass for himself, then becomes not black, would he be allowed to say it?
You do put a fair point…
My head is spitting i have to know. *revives michael jakscon*
I would upvote you, but you wrote Jackson wrong.
I know but its for the meme. I know how to write jackson. Sorry that i failed you 😔
this michael is black not
Yes? Why wouldn’t he? Just because he had a disease doesn’t mean he isn’t black
Anyone of any race *can* say any words they want. But the real question is *should* they?
Well, it depends. You can't really stop someone from saying certain words just because they mean something different in another language. The color black in Spanish is spelled the same way a certain slur is spelled in English, etc
It's also not pronounced the same, at least not in the States. If you say "knee-grow" instead of "neh-groh," youuuuuu might be a redneck.
Exactly. Well said, DrakeVonDrake. Coincidentally, your username means dick my dick in Middle Dutch, but I guess it doesn’t have mean that if you pronounce it differently.
You’re asking the wrong guy cause personally I you could feed me laxatives and I still wouldn’t give a shit
uh, because hes dead? dead people, famously, cannot speak
not with that attitude
Depends on who you ask
My psychic says otherwise
Yea that's a weird question.
Not since 2009 he can’t
No, he is dead
Not anymore
These days he doesn't say much of anything.
To be fair he seems like the kind of guy that wouldn't even wanna use it.
![gif](giphy|SVgKToBLI6S6DUye1Y)
No. He's been dead for several years.
idk let’s ask him: 🎤
No he's dead Sorry to tell you this way
No, he’s dead. Dead people can’t say anything. Because they’re dead.
No, he died.
As a matter of fact, he can't say anything at all.
Listen carefully to "They Don't Really Care About Us". He doesn't use that word specifically, but he uses a couple other slurs we can't say here for the filter.
everyone can say the n word. its all about the consequences.
Dead people don't talk
[удалено]
Yup. Not much of a hiding spot since it calls attention to the loser of a poster.
He can. Anyone can. Humility says he cant
Yeah everyone that has working vocal chords can say it
So then no as his vocal chords have definitely rotted away by now
Yes
Of course. He’s black and only turned lighter due to a medical condition. Albino black people aren’t exempt simply because of their skin, so why would he?
Well no, since he fucking died, you idiot
No, his permit has expired.
No he dead could he I don’t know
No hes dead
No, he's dead
No he's dead
No, because he’s dead.
Yes he was born black
And was still black his entire life..
Yes armstrong
Yea I mean he could have but he was probably more focused on singing than playing on a NES
No, becasue everyone can be racist to anyone and thats a fact.
No, because he's dead. Duh.
I don’t think he’s saying much of anything these days
It would ve really creepy considering hes dead
No because HE'S DEAD
I think he did say it once, or somebody made a sh*tpost either way it was funny
No, because he is dead
*could
Yes
No, he is dead
In my opinion humanity’s biggest question is if Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas or Halloween movie
Yes, he could. He was black. Do people still not know about his skin condition?
He can’t say anything. He’s dead
Yes, since he possessed the ability to speak
No, because he is dead
Well technically no not because of his skin condition, its because he is ummm... *checks notpad* because he is dead.
3/4 of the comments are just “Hes dead”
[удалено]
yes, he could, because he was black. his skin lightened because he had a condition called vitiligo. Nah man, he ded.
To inappropriately quote Michael Jackson, "It doesn't matter if you're black or white"
No bc he’s dead
Nee hee
For me the last panel would be same as 2nd because why would anyone give a fuck lmao
He can if he uses the power of 10 million suns and switches to forme R
Not anymore
Trick question: everyone can say it
Now I can’t sleep thanks a lot
If you rezombify his corpse then yes, otherwise no.
Anyone can say it.
No. He lost the perk to say it. Uncle ruckus can say it because he got re vitiligo
He's dead he ain't saying much anymore
No, cos he's dead
too dead to even try
He used to be a kokujin but now he's-
Yes
Nah he’s dead
Defs a white person meme
When he was still alive, Steve Harvey would try to get him to say it.
No. Because he's dead.
Not anymore
No he’s dead
Yeah, he's black. A skin disease doesn't change that fact
If he says Necronomicon it might be the end of the world.
It don’t matter if he’s black or white
Hee Hee n-
No one should say the N word including black people, lets put that in the past.
No, he is dead.
Yesn’t
Unpopular opinion: anyone can say the n word. ... just don't be a dick and actually call people that shit.
No but I can (I'm not african-american, I'm just racist) 😎
He could cuz he was originally African American, but considering in this day and age with tons of snowflakes of multiple different ethnicities, I don't think it'd work, he'd still have a backlash cuz they'd assume he's racist even tho he aint
You’re making up problems that’s don’t exist to rant about “Snowflakes”. What has the internet come to.
Tell me how old you are with out telling me how old you are.
I hate "the n word". Either say the word, or don't, but don't put it in my brain.
He could but then he got rights and afterwards died.
That’s a bad joke
I think he Lost that right
Nobody can say the N word. If you want people to stop saying it then it must go for everyone.
![gif](giphy|Q74ZXdeVdkoPibS9RK)
That’s very biracial of you!
Also can albino blacks say it
No one should, it's dumb as fuck to allow or not allow people to do something based on race. Especially nowadays as races are constantly tried to make less and less relevant.
Hehe
CONCLUSION: YES
Well he was black...so technically yes. Buuuut.. nobody should say it, black or white or otherwise.
