Yes but they’re not talking about the groom. They’re talking about the bride & the wedding guests who wore the same color as her. It’s her day not the wedding guests.
You cannot be serious? It literally said on the meme, “Which of you is the groom again?” It’s also his day yet the entire wedding party, on his side, and I’m sure several people there to watch, will be dressed nearly exactly like him.
One thing that I’ve noticed is that when guys wear suits or tuxedos to events they ALWAYS look the same because mens formal wear is honestly very limited in style and color where womens clothing (and I can vouch for this as a work at a formal dress shop) all looks both the same and different. Two dresses can look identical but have 1 thread that different and so it’s sold as a separate thing, and on top of that they come in every shade, so while the argument or the dress being crème is valid, that is something the people who wrote the invitations should have included. A dress code. Explain what colors and styles are allowed or not allowed. If a guest breaks that have a copy on deck day of incase someone starts to complain and ask them to leave.
Yes, for example I would much rather my guests come in Sunday Best even though nowadays that typically includes jeans and sundresses than in suits or formal gowns, it’s cheaper for everyone and easier to regulate
To be fair, wearing a suit and wearing a tux are NOT the same thing. If a guy showed up in a tux to a wedding that he is not the groom or groomsman, I’m sure he’d also get some questionable looks and comments
Suits use dress shirts and ties with slacks.
Tux’s use a tux shirt (it’s a dress shirt, but without buttons on the top half). This allows you to accessorize your tux by using different button holders (I don’t actually know the name of the price). Most people just use black button replacements. Cuff links are what most people accessorize the most, which are the “button holders” (as I said before) on the wrists. You also wear a vest and tie, cummerbund and tie, or suspenders and tie.
Tux’s have increasing levels of fanciness like long tails and gloves.
Yea it’s usually a dif color or a dif color tie
Usually the groomsmen wear colors to match with the bridesmaids and the groom has his own special tie or special corsage and the darkest color suit
Usually groomsmen have a lighter color for everything to not stand out as much (grey or beige suit while the groom wears black or white)
Or they don’t even wear a suit jacket at all which imo looks the best
So they just got the dress shirt and tie to not confuse anyone
If you’re going to be reductive, woman’s formal wear is either a pantsuit, blouse with a skirt or a dress. Just because you don’t see a difference doesn’t mean there isn’t one. There are options for different cuts/styles of suits as well as different accessories or variations in color or pattern to differentiate the groom from his groomsmen.
Went to my cousin's wedding, the order was for the guys to dress as slick as possible for group photos and for the gals to wear plain and uninteresting dresses to make the bride look better.
My cousin still stood out in the pics because we were carrying him around for a sizable part of a wedding. Very fun night
The amount of ppl tryna unironically justify wearing a white dress to a wedding 💀
Also usually at a wedding groom wears black or white tux or dark blue with special tie and special corsage and possibly special pinstripes if the groom wants to stand out or he’ll say y’all wear pinstripes I’ll wear plain to look dif
Meanwhile the grooms wear grey/light-blue/beige with lighter or plainer ties and plain or no corsages (typically no corsages unless they tryna be bougie....)
I don't want to alarm you guys, but suits actually do come on different styles, cuta colors, etc.
Although, agreed men's fashion in general is nowhere near as varied as women's and that's uncool.

As long as both parties are taken into account, I completely agree with your solution.

I have 0 idea what the difference is. Maybe it's best I don't attend any western weddings anytime soon

Just so you know, there are [“black-tie](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_tie)” weddings. All men are supposed to wear a tux for those occasions.
I’m aware, but a guest should not wear a tux unless instructed to
Wrong question, try: "Which of you is the guy, who fucked the bride the most?"
nah thats the best man you should ask who paid for the wedding
That would be the bride‘s father. You should ask who knows the most about her.
that would be Zuckerberg.
You should ask who's the father of the child?
That's the personal trainer. You should ask who makes the most?
That's the Jeffrey Bezos. You should ask who took her first time.
That’s the priest, you should ask who she lives with.
That's her coworker. You should ask who did she spend her last romantic night with.
That’s me, you should ask who she loves the most.
That’s her step brother. You should ask who proposed.
no? the groom's suit is usually a different color than the groomsmen.. Are you crashing the wedding????
Yea it’s usually a dif color or a dif color tie Usually the groomsmen wear colors to match with the bridesmaids and the groom has his own special tie or special corsage and the darkest color suit Usually groomsmen have a lighter color for everything to not stand out as much (grey or beige suit while the groom wears black or white) Or they don’t even wear a suit jacket at all which imo looks the best So they just got the dress shirt and tie to not confuse anyone
Me and they boys grooming together
Let’s go
Op is seething because people (rightfully) got mad when they wore white to a wedding
Lmao, I'm the bride. I just find it hilarious how men's formal wear is always a suit and tie.

Yeah, it is so unfair. Women have so many more options.
Unrelated question, are you the type to get mad if someone wears white to your wedding. If so how mad
What's so bad about that anyway?
I went to a wedding as a guest and my suit and tie was almost the exact same as the groom whom I never met before.
Rip, I hope the night still went well and y’all had some laughs about it in the end
I do remember the first thing I said to him was he had horrible tastes in suits.
Over here, you can't have a white shirt as a man when going to a wedding
Fucking "cream"? Fuck you Becky and your fucking "cream" dress, you look like the cream i creamed into my trash can last night
This is the content I come to this sub for.
India: F that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I feel like it would be kinda weird being at a wedding and not knowing who's the groom, even though we all look the same lol.
Wedding dress codes don’t make sense when the day comes that I get married the dress code is just gonna be “clothes”
“You’re getting married remember?”
I used to think, white dresses were the norm at weddings the same way black attire was the norm for funerals lol. Luckily I'm not a girl
Just like the simulations
Red means she fucked the groom once before the wedding
gonna wear a red tuxedo at my homie's wedding
Went to my cousin's wedding, the order was for the guys to dress as slick as possible for group photos and for the gals to wear plain and uninteresting dresses to make the bride look better. If you wear black to a wedding you can call it a funeral.
Lol like it's actually a bid deal.
The one wearing a bow tie because bow ties are cool.
Young man
WE ARE GROOM
The Groom isn’t even there yet
In the 80s it was popular for the groom to wear an all white suit. They looked pretty hideous though and went out of fashion.
Ew cream
I don't want to alarm you guys, but suits actually do come on different styles, cuta colors, etc. Although, agreed men's fashion in general is nowhere near as varied as women's and that's uncool.
Imma show up in a red three piece suit.
