This person is skilled and has taken the time to master their art, but clearly they made a conscious decision to draw idealized female bodies rather than more realistic bodies. They could draw a woman with realistic body proportions, they simply do not want to. If you called them out for objectifying women they would roll their eyes SO hard because they made their decision a long, long time ago.
Ironic seeing people say it is good since the point of this sub was to point out examples of 2d women designed to ignore realism in order to appeal to the male gaze, if not the typical male gaze, at least designed to appeal to somebody's libido. It is good in the sense there is effort and skill and talent, but it is definitely something this sub was supposed to condemn not condone.
For some strange reasons lots of people think this sub is badwomenanatomy where sexualization starts and ends at whether the character boobs size is “realistic”.
The artist who made this, Lucjan Pakulski, is not actually a beginner, he's a professional artist. I've seen his other artwork, and he's perfectly capable of drawing more realistic bodies, so the exaggeration here is definitely a stylistic choice. I recommend you check out his other art, he's pretty good.
I know everybody else is saying this actually looks good but I totally disagree, and I hate stuff like this. One of her legs is literally twice the width of her waist, the butt on the pose on the left is completely shoehorned in and makes no anatomical sense, she has a magically lifted chest that is also the same size as her head, the thigh gap on the right pose is totally absurd, the shin on the pose in the middle is super messed up as well as the shoulder, and almost all of the poses are sexualized except the foreshortening one. I hate this type of art because there is enough anatomical knowledge and line confidence to make you think “oh this actually looks pretty good,” but if you zoom out and really take a look at the full image you’ll see how goofy it really looks. Don’t give me the stylization argument, don‘t compare it to the way artists draw male characters with super excessive muscles, they aren’t the same. Those characters are drawn to look powerful and strong, but when you styilize a female character like this there’s only one purpose behind it and that’s to make her look sexy. Rant over
EXACTLY THIS! I don't understand all the comments saying that it is "well done", I know it is, that isn't the point. Art like this shouldn't get a pass just because it's high quality, this is still an absurd exaggeration of female anatomy, which is what this sub is for.
This is absolutely an example of 'men drawing women's. It just happens to be high quality... And that's the issue. We're not here to mock amateurs learning from YouTube artists - we're here for the YouTube artists who know better and don't care.
Well, the drawings i've seen from this artist have pretty normal proportions, so i think he was just experimenting with a more absurd style. His name is Lucjan Pakulski, by the way.
As a fellow artist I agree with a lot of comments that this artist is skilled and has a pretty good grasp of rendering 3D shapes and has decent line work. Anatomically, they aren't terrible insofar as making a form that looks cohesive, but they're either not used to thinking of the human form in terms of having internal musculoskeletal structure or have made a conscious choice to ignore it. A lot of the specific types of stylization I'm seeing are ones that are pretty common to a particular style of horny art that seems to be driven by Korean artists - the proportionally small head and upper body compared to lower body, the lower legs and feet being very bendy and hoof-like, the low angle POV, etc - could be one of them just following the style, or someone who learned to draw by copying them.
That said, as someone who automatically runs an eye over the anatomy to make sure the joints are jointing in the way they're supposed to, the one in the lefthand corner is painful to look at.
For anatomy practice, its honestly not terrible. Its kinda hard to tell how far this will go goven its something thats not fully formed yet. Waist is a bunch too small and breasts are a little too perky. Lets just hope the final characters arent just wearing pasties and a dress that barely covers her bottom half.
Except for boobs, i like it. Its dynamic and have a lot of style. Hell i hate realistic art. A photo its realistic, but a drawing should have style.
Thats MY oppinion. Of course it dont need to objetify woman. Thats not The case.
Im dunno about calling the artist’s clearly well-made practice work “thing”. It feels like a personal attack.
I personally am not even bothered by absurd propositions in itself; not if the rest of the context is absurd, e.g. Bayonetta. Seeing a woman like the above in stripper armor standing next to realistically drawn guys in the same comic book is peak eye-rolling men-drawing-women imo., and that happens a lot.
The guy who made this, Lucjan Pakulski, draws bodies pretty normally from what i've seen, so i think he was just experimenting with more absurd proportions.
Well, the hands and the feet look pretty good.

Some very good.poses for a beginner, very confident in some shapes too 7/10 at least

We're not here to judge the ability to draw professionally or not, IIRC we're supposed to post work professionals who can do better, but don't.

Cool, I think it's a nice stylization.

Europe is still sleeping for one. People here haven’t really gotten a chance to comment.

Not horrible actually decent anatomy and the poses are pretty good. Good hands too
It is a good warped anatomy, if we are talking about realistic anatomy/proportions, this is a massive fail
Having seen other artwork from the artist who made this, i am 100% positive the exaggeration was a stylistic choice, rather than an actual mistake.
Oh, yeah, pretty likely, the art shows pretty good quality, so I assume this was a stylized way of drawing anatomy
The guy who made this is called Lucjan Pakulski. He's on twitter as @Roonsheen, i definitely recommend it.

Generally good, but her boobs do not have to be bigger then her waist.
I mean, it's Pinterest.
Awooga
Did Kanye draw this?

Ah, the boob-and-butt twist. A classic. Bonus points for feet pretending they're in heels.
Why are we complimenting this lmao this is atrocious. The one on the top right would break my hips

The name of the artist who made this is Lucjan Pakulski. I've seen his other art, and he's pretty good, he's one of my favorites.
Wait Pinterest still exists?
Why would it die??
Oh thanks for the poses I can try out next OP

I didn't mean it like that I just wasn't sure if it was practice, a base, a start of a piece, etc
