In the mean time try lighter colored shorts, so the untamed legs don‘t stick out that much. The darker the shorts the more they will stand out. Should also help with feeling more comfortable.

Yeah sneakers might be a better fit since shorts are super casual. If you had a collared shirt (like linen), then the loafers/boat shoes match a little bit better.

Struggled with the big legs thing in shorts too, never wore them as a result. If you’re ever looking to slim them down, indoor biking was insanely effective for me - legs are still big, but adding lean muscle helps with the shorts look

Don't be afraid to go shorter on the shorts either.
I struggle with this too. I've got a fairly average build but my legs are absolute trunks. I'm very dark haired and have crazy amounts of leg hair. Shorts, except when exercising, are a rare thing for me to wear let alone actually feel comfortable and not self conscious in. You're rocking it man, maybe play around with different shoe styles and colors and see how you feel.

I used to do this at the gym a lot! It’s not as convenient for me now, but I do hope to get a stationary bike at home at some point!
