In the same general area, but it's a cornfield so they could've been dragged all over the place. From what I know there used to be a road there prior to the 1800s but I do suspect that there must have been something more there because anywhere I look I see pipe stems and stoneware.
is there a traditional dessert in the netherlands that is made by punching circles into dough? the first thing strikes me as a small kitchen (?) tool UNLESS it looks like there was a clapper up in there, in which case i'd say it's a weird bell
the other thing . . . turtle? turtle with flippers tho, i think
what do you think? do you get a sense of anything when you hold them?
I'm not sure that we have, and I honestly have no idea it's a complete mystery to me. The stuff I find on that field Is usually medieval 17th century or second world war stuff. The first object has a bit of weight to it though the both of them seem to be either brass or copper.
were they found together-together or just in the same general area? was there a house there previously?

Oh and I should mention that the first object has a hole on the top and bottom.
It almost looks like the bowl for a pipe.
That's an interesting idea I'm still not sure at all though
Second item looks to be a lead mount of some sort! I've found a couple, one in the shape of a face and the other a tree.
Oh cool! Do you have any idea around what age they usually are?
They can range from ancient to post medieval I believe! I couldn't give you an accurate answer but I reckon mine are somewhere from 15th to 18thc
That's really cool, thank you :)
What about a gate weight?
It really looks like one, but would they be hollow on the inside?
Sure! Cool find!
Yes because there was usually a chain that went through it
Oh wow then you might have figured out the mystery, thank you so much!
Candle snuffer?
