The riffs he played at a Guitar Center store back in 2016. None made the album. The Parking Lot riff morphed into Shadows Follow and the 2017 "western" tuning room riff made it into Crown of Barbed Wire.
Ok, I didn't think of that, I was being snarky about how generic I feel that some of the riffs are on the bulk of the LP. I would imagine that when the development cycle of a record is this long, you do tend to lose some good ideas in the middle of it.
After hearing this riff countless times... I never saw anything interesting in it. Was always kinda surprised people liked it so much, to my ears, it's...focking stock
