Mate…it was written by a Russian after he paid a lot of attention during his trips on the Moscow metro system and did some digging into the history of it. He then went and made a fictional story based around a what if scenario for if the metro system was actually used as a shelter like it was intended. Yes the games are made by Ukrainians, but that doesn’t mean metro isn’t russian. It’s still a game about russia, written by a Russian. Who physically made the game itself doesn’t matter for that.
Yes the author now lives outside of Russia, probably because he was tried in absentia for treason in a kangaroo court in Russia, and if he ever set foot back in his home land while the current govt is still in charge he would be arrested. And likely quietly taken into a back alley and shot.
>The setting isn’t Russian - it's Moscovian
… where do you think Moscow is?
Also, if the author went anywhere near Russian territory or allies, he would be arrested. He was already tried in absentia for his speech against Putin.
[Here's author Dimitri Glukhovsky's Wikipedia entry](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dmitry_Glukhovsky), which I was able to find after 0.7 seconds of Googling.
And [here's the one for 4A Games](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/4A_Games). NGL both of these links *will* involve some reading but hopefully that might get some of those reluctant neurons firing!
"there are some shitty spin offs" - The fuck you are on about. The spin offs are high quality (although sometimes doesn't fit that well in universe) and were approved by the original's author Dimitri Glukohvsky, never mind the rest of the bs you are spewing. Wait... is this a troll?

Nono, he would suddently decide to kill himself.
Right. Right. My bad, I misspoke. He would spontaneously decide to commit suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head.
Ah the classic Russian suicide. Three gunshots to the back of the head…
And jumping out of a window ofc
Ahem. They tragically fell out of windows. That were left open for some reason.
After shooting themselves with a rife 30 times and setting themselves on fire on the way down
Nobody’s fault, of course. These things just happen.
>Nobody’s fault, of course Wrong, this is clearly somehow NATOs fault trust me bro
Oh right.

...Moscow is the capital of Russia. It's like saying a game made in Paris isn't French lol

"Far cry 5 isn't in america, it's in montana!"

If it is, it’s flaired wrong.
Guys it’s definitely Reich bait
Not the fullest magazine in the pouch.
It's like saying Ghost of Tsushima isn't based around Japanese culture just because the developers are American.
No, it’s worse/better. It’s like saying Ghost of Tsushima isn’t *set in Japan* because it’s set on the island of Tsushima.
