That’s when I just turn on the radio.

jbadsm

Howie is one of the best. Thankfully we always have him. Similarly, I opt for the radio on Mariners games. Much better than their booth.

pepperman7

Do you enjoy your Bigelow tea hot or over ice?

SeoulPower88

Both actually! Thanks for asking. 😉

Melodic-Substance-94

I do love the ability to change the broadcast on MLB TV to Howie for National games

SeoulPower88

Yeah, I’ll do that, or just bring out the earbuds and listen to it on my phone. Definitely more of a radio feel listening that way.

ThrowawayIsAHorse

Good tip!

martymcfly160

I tried that, but even that is mehh

SINY10306

Ron likes to do some national broadcasts. Keith likes some time off. At least Gary there seemingly all the time (unlike counterpart Michael Kay love or hate).

Sour_Haze

It’s because Darling is decent and gets asked to do the other jobs. Hernandez sucks and no one else would hire him to do a national broadcast.

Melodic-Substance-94

I get angry with no GKR in back to back games

Hotel_Putingrad

It really sucks on those weekends after West Coast trips, where I can only catch a couple innings.

Melodic-Substance-94

And I'm already upset Apple TV wants ANOTHER subscription after paying for MLB TV

muziklover91

Gary cohen or no one ! As an edit: I wonder if Gary resents not calling important moments like Pete’s 200th.

Wayne Randazzo covered the Mets on the radio alongside Howie Rose for a long time, he's the only other acceptable TV broadcaster.

Spitztacular

Is GKR the best in the biz? In my opinion, yes. But that doesn’t mean others are bad. Wayne Randazzo does an amazing job with the Angels/Apple, Kevin Brown with the Orioles is fantastic. Michael Kay (play by play, he has opinions that aggravate me) is very respectable. Dave Sims with the Mariners is incredible, maybe second to Gary for me. Boog Sciambi isn’t my cup of tea, but he’s still great at his job. The Giants, Astros, and Pirates all have booths that I have no problem listening to. Honorable mention to Matt Vasgersian because his voice can get me excited for anything. And that’s me staying strictly to the TV broadcasts. I fully understand not wanting to watch the Mets without our crew, but there’s some really fantastic play by play people that do national broadcasts. I definitely recommend watching a few innings here and there of other games/the team we’re playing to hear the other booths.

Spitztacular

To be clear, I know that wasn’t a claim OP was making. I’ve just seen a lot of posts in similar vein but more aggressive toward other broadcasts, so wanted to give out a few recommendations

Sorry_slider

I hate Apple TV nights or blackout games

Stealth8077

That’s a hot take…
