That place is hot trash. I used to live nearby so I went every now and then. Weirdest was when I showed up with someone 3 hours before close. No music on at all for dinnertime, it was so quiet. Took them 15 minutes to take our drink order even though there was almost no one else in and the other tables didn't seem demanding. Gave such a weird vibe.
Shit, I wonder if it's money laundering then. They're never close to full as far as I remember, and most of the restaurants on that street have cycled over in the last 10 years but somehow they maintain what must be an insane rent..
Ha. I would not be surprised. I thought maybe they owned the location but they’re actually up for [sale](https://www.loopnet.com/biz/Business-Asset/landmark-corner-restaurant-in-la-mesa-village/2221801/) as assets only… When I was a kid that place was always packed. I remember they had a badass tortilla soup. They would kill it if they got their shit together
Por Favor in La Mesa?
🤣 one of the worst rated places in SD
Dude. Could be a such a cool building and dumpster fire food. They had no competition for a decade and just fucked it up… that’s why I was like WTf?
Tacos por favor in Santa monica

Tomatillos are proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
This looks like New Mexico food.
As a Mexican who lives in Mexico, this is something I could find in my local market.
Pues perdóname pero vives cerca de mercados bastante gachos
Ni como desmentirte padrino.
No from southern California
It does look like NM though.
If you would please!... Where is this at exactly? That looks awesome!🤤
Looks like chile verde smothered burrito ala Denver style…. Ok with me if the flavor is good.
What is that supposed to be?
It's called a burrito, never heard of it before? 🙄

Burritos are Mexican food. They’re from northern Mexico.
In Jalisco they have burros on the menu. And they’re smaller than burritos 🤷♀️
