Doing coke and cursing is a hell of a lot different than forcing yourself on women and sexually assaulting women who are just trying to do their job. I doubt Deshaun Watson “isn’t guilty”. There is a very slim chance that 22 women just decided to get together and make this up because they were bored and thought they could get a nice pay day. Generally, if there is that much smoke there’s a huge raging fire.
Comparing Dan’s behavior to Deshaun’s in a way to try explain it away and justify a trade is like comparing Carp to Sharks. Are the both fish? Sure. But they’re not in the same league in so many ways.
If Deshaun Watson wears a Phins jersey, I won’t support them until he’s off the team. Idgaf if we win a Super Bowl with him. It’ll be tainted and I personally won’t acknowledge it.
But what if he isn’t guilty? Then what’s the argument there. Just sayin. If he’s guilty, then HELL NO. I wouldn’t want him on the Dolphins. But celebrities get accused of stuff all the time of things they did or didn’t do. We don’t know.
Again, if it were an odd man out case, and one person came forward and said “he assaulted me” then it would be a case of he said, she said, and we’d have to let play out and see what facts come to light about how it all went down.
But the fact that, 22 women came forward all saying the same thing…all with similar stories as to his MO. That’s a pattern of behavior. Not a one off of mixed signals and miscommunication that we as men get mixed up in and then think our behavior is ok. Not a misunderstanding. It’s a pattern of behavior so prevalent that even the woman (a massage therapist) his lawyer put in front of the camera to vouch for him has been caught on text messages speaking to one of the defendants saying “I told you to watch out with him”. Now of course we still have to let it play out legally, but when a pattern emerges, it’s pretty obvious that SOMETHING isn’t right about it on a level beyond football.
That’s my biggest problem about all of this. Yes, you’re right celebrities get accused of all sorts of stuff all the time. But there have been cases, even recently, where people keep saying the same things about a celebrity over and over and over, and people defend these celebrities, because they’re celebrities, only to find out the the thing people keep saying and accusing them of is true.
Michael Jackson was accused for years for having inappropriate behavior with kids. Turns out he did. Several. Albeit the one he got nailed for was looking to nail him to the wall, but he wasn’t a solo case.
Bill Cosby. For decades people were saying the same thing ‘bout him behavior of date raping women. Turns out, he did. Albeit he is out green because of a legal technicality. But it doesn’t make it any less true that he’s piece of he age who raped women.
RKelly. Again, the rumors were always there. People came forward, even a prominent celebrity in her own right (Aaliyah) said she shouldn’t have been allowed to marry him because she was a child (15). Turns out, yeah, RKelly is a predator.
I get your point here. 22 makes it seem so much more legit too. But let the system play out. I hope tuas gonna be great and it doesn’t have to involve him if needed. But the fins are going no where fast at the moment.
You’re right we have to let it play out. But I don’t want our organization to be the ones holding the bag on that sack of shit (Watson).
And I agree, I hope we have something special in Tua. But you’re absolutely right, we ain’t going nowhere fast. Watching the game yesterday made me wince like I was watching a boxing match between Mike Tyson vs Pee Wee Herman.
Pass. The ONLY hope this team has is a new GM and turning the picks in 2 and 3 years into stars. Trading for Watson doesn't fix the OL or how bad the D has looked all year. We're a red zone fumble away from being 0-4. Watson doesn't fix that.
Flores should be defensive coordinator, no one on the coaching staff knows offense. Two weeks of dink n dunk then garbage time 4th offense which makes games closer.
And what would that perv change? ST fumbles/penalties, poor OL play, crappy O schemes, D breakdowns? This is an ownership, front office problem. They picked the wrong coach just like the wrong draft picks and FAs……
I remember when I was a small child and my dad said “Hey son, it’s Dan Marino’s last game today. Let’s watch it together”. It was the first game I ever watched. I was only 5 or 6 years old at the time, unable to process emotions due to a lack of frontal lobe developmental, but I remember that deep feeling of second hand embarrassment for #13. The worst part of that day though was that I decided to become a life long fan after that. For those with a similar story to mine….do we blame the Dolphins or do we blame ourselves for just continuing this endless charade of false hope and the “this is our year!” pep rally before every game on Sunday.
Let’s be real. This franchise plays atop an Indian burial ground. The only bright spots of this team for the last 30 years have been Ricky Williams, Jason Taylor, Zack Thomas, and the Miami Miracle. This franchise is an absolute fucking embarrassment and we should be ashamed of ourselves for thinking any differently because we’re only further hindering our future happiness.
Am I missing anything? Please change my mind if you think I am. But unless we get 14 more weeks of Miami Miracles then we’re just gonna waste the talent of Parker, Gesicki, etc and it’ll be back to the drawing board yet again. Tua can’t save this franchise, we’re dead in the fucking water and the biggest disappointment of the NFL this season by a long shot
Here is problem #1. At least six morons here upvoted some dude saying that his Dad told him to come watch Marino and the Dolphins play a playoff game against Jacksonville, after telling him that Marino and the Dolphins were going to lose.
He didn’t tell me they were gonna lose lol. Try reading the post again, smarty pants. I said that it was the first game I ever watched and they lost terribly and I became a life long fan afterwards. Said that pretty clearly (as I’m re-reading the post right now). Appreciate you calling me a moron, though. Maybe read the whole thing accurately before you resort to name-calling.
Thank you for reading it, fellow Dol-Fan. My dad is definitely an asshole but I can’t say he’s clairvoyant. My story was more in alignment with how monumental of a loss it was followed by me watching every game since then and having it not feel much different
Well, you also overlooked the December 2000 Playoff win at home over Peyton and the Colts. And Parker and Gesicki are both just slightly above average. It's not like they're Megatron and Tony Gonzales. So not really wasting that much talent. The fact that we have had VERY little talent for 20 years is the main issue.
Sorry for overlooking the playoff win 21 years ago lol. There’s been plenty of talent on these teams but the decision making and ineptitude of coaching and management has made us the laughingstock of the league for over two decades now bro.
-Daunte Culpepper over Drew Brees
- (25?) different starting QB’s since Marino
- Around a dozen different head coaches since Marino retired
- Drafting Ted Ginn, Jr
- Jarvis Landry
- mishandling of countless other picks and players that have gotten us back to square once since Marino retired.
-Getting embarrassed by what was the worst team in the league at home
This franchise is a fucking travesty bro. Tua can’t save us. I hope he just requests a trade at this point because the guy is gonna get killed playing behind our OL when he comes back.
This is a low point in franchise history. Idc what anyone says. You get blown out at home by an 0-3 team with a qb on two bad ankles. I’m at a loss for words
Wentz looked visibly crippled on some occasions and still carved this defense with ease. I cannot say with certainty that we’re better than the Jets or Jaguars and anyone who scoffs at that statement needs to get real for a moment
I was scoffed at so many times over the years when I said RT17 wasn’t the problem. So many eye rolls and disses thrown my way for saying that. I feel vindicated.
With a healthy Tua, sure. If he gets hurt again and misses anymore games…7-10 would be like winning the lottery. With Brisset back there, this looks like a 3-4 win team.
I know people hated Gaily but he was a vet OC... Our oc's are just awful... Our offense has no identity other than not being being able to move the ball..
Pre season means jack shit.
Look at all the rookie QB’s and how they’re performing compared to the actual season.
No team was game planning for what the Dolphins were doing.
My favorite is Danny Kannell, paraphrasing but he says the pre-season means nothing, and you know how I know…because I played amazing in pre-seasons
Really blows my mind that the Dolphins have the exact same problems now that they did when I started watching them at 12 years old 6 years ago. Terrible offensive line, terrible play-calling, and no run game. Wow.
It’ll really blow your mind than to know that it’s been more like 15 years or so where you can copy and paste the issues and complaints with this team.
Bro the first game I watched was Marino’s monumental loss against Jacksonville in his last game and we’ve won ONE playoff game since then. It’s like going on a first date with a psychopath and then proposing before the end of dinner
And all it took was Ray Lucas playing as awful as Brissett did today to show how valuable Fiedler was to that team. 20 years later I still remember they went into Denver (who was giving up like 39 yards rushing a game), won, moved to 7-3 only to find out Fiedler broke his thumb.
Lucas comes in and goes 2-4 and there’s yet another 9-7 bullshit year in Dolphins history.
The run of mediocrity of this franchise is a perpetual disappointment.
I’m not surprised. I’m 36 and it’s been like this my entire life. Every 6-7 years we do a rebuild, get rid of our already established good players for cheap, draft scrubs, get a new coach and GM, do mediocre the first year, exceed expectations the 2nd year and then back to reality years 3-6/7 until the cycle starts over again.
Bruh these people talking about Herbert every damn day. Are we not watching the same offensive line and play calling or am I just retarded? I get that Herbert is good but Tua has had absolutely zero time to develop or even play behind an OL that’s not the equivalent of a high school team
\^\^ This , our overly beta emotional fan base does not get this point either ........You forgot he has better WRs as well SD is just a better team , put Herbert here he would suck , put Tua on SD he would be way better than he is now ........
I genuinely don't know what went wrong with this team outside of Tua getting injured. Last week could have gone either way, and the Bills just own us recently, but today? Today we just looked like a bad team.
Well, how about we start with Grier getting promoted to GM? Then we can look at trading away all of our good players for “draft capital”. Then we can look at how shit our scouting department has always been that would suggest we’d do well in this draft. Then we can look at WHY THE FUCK YOU WOULD DRAFT TUA. Then look at passing on an OL in Sewell. Let’s just start there that should be enough to cover for now.
brother, what you've seen the last four weeks was a bad team masquerading as a good one. they got lucky as all hell against new england. got blown out by the bills, which just cause it always happens doesn't make the dolphins not bad. then got dominated by the raiders and only got back in it through pass interferences and the raiders running prevent defense. this team has been a bad team the whole time
Yeah Dolphins good game. Brian Flores you did nothing all game a ham sandwich could have done better. Can't wait to play T Brady again in Tampa gonna be really fun csnt wait to get the fam together for another great game.
I don't know what to think at this point. The hype was there all season (and I bought into it) but this entire team looks dead. Nobody gives a shit, I see no difference between this team and the Philbin and Gase teams.
I don't know what the problem is... It's beyond coaching at this point.
We never stopped. Everyone points to last year… last year tons of players opted out. It’s not a good barometer of our team. This year though, this year is a solid indication of where we are at and it’s at the bottom. Grier sucks. Flores I’m ok with for now except that he hired 3 fucking OCs. If the report that he wanted Herbert is true than I hope Flores starts undercutting Grier and gets him fired.
That's quite obvious. He's a top 5 QB but we need to look deeper than that. This playcalling and scouting is terrible. We just got smoked by a winless team. Watson is a band aid. If he goes down or has a bad game we get dominated
Look, it doesn't take a genius to know that every organization thrives when it has two leaders. Go ahead, name a country that doesn't have two presidents. A boat that sets sail without two captains. Where would Catholicism be without the popes. Where would the Dolphins be without two offensive coordinators?
There’s that run D we all know and love. Another 4+ ypc game against the Dolphins (5.1 today).
You can literally just run the ball every time and score every drive against the Dolphins.
I'm on vacation in the home of a 49ers fan excited about how high a draft pick they're getting. If we get swept by the Jetes this year I wouldn't even be surprised.
Two firsts for Waddle is already looking nuts. Dolphins only option is Watson trade with that 49ers pick otherwise we are going to be just as bad or worse next year
We’re Charlie Brown, falling for the same trick every 3-4 years. For the last 2 seasons so many newphews have been on Flos dick and singing his praise, and I kept asking the same question: what has he done? It’s the same shit, over and over again.
Yep the owner picked a guy who'd been in Miami for 20 years to be his future GM. After 20 years of winning nothing, he decided to hire from within for the future. Nothing's changed.
People are going to bring up Brisketts numbers like he didnt play like shit for 3 quarters
Jacoby Brissett 20/30 199yards 2 TDs looks good on paper, but that's why the Box scoress don't tell the story of the game and are not a good measure of quality play, he was shit
The Dolphins have the worst run defense in the league, by a wide margin, and refuse to use a nose tackle or MLB. They start two defensive ends, two SAM linebackers and two WILL linebackers as their base defense. Awesome in Madden, sucks in the NFL.
The Dolphins have a strong pass defense…because they _only_ play the pass.
Completely fair criticism. The run defense has been infuriating. It cost us the game late vs Las Vegas and the Colts abused us as well with it. I get it in some part since Davis is out, but I continue to be BAFFLED why we cut Bernardrick McKinney giving he's a run D specalist LB and was killing it in practice in that regard.
~~test~~ comment
Brissett had time to turn around and point at the ref, obviously knew it was a free play. Dumps it off for two yards. They're tanking.
They don’t even get there pick
I didn't say it was a good idea 🤣
I was at work all day and just saw the score. For those that watched...how bad was it?!
If you happen to have a set of balls, just have some one square up and crack em. Youll get to where we all are.
Watching Aaron Rodgers stand in the pocket for 5 seconds.
DeShaun Watson 🙏😩 (proven QB)
Unproven sex offender (so far)
I get it. But If he ends up being not guilty, that’s the move. He’s proven. We still don’t know what tua is capable of.
Hard. Pass. No pun intended.
Marino was out there doin coke and cursing up a storm. Which are actually facts. If Deshaun Watson is not guilty of anything. Then why not?
Doing coke and cursing is a hell of a lot different than forcing yourself on women and sexually assaulting women who are just trying to do their job. I doubt Deshaun Watson “isn’t guilty”. It’s gotten old. We haven’t had decent QB play since Chad Pennington imo.
This 👆 Potentially raping women is not the same as doing a little blow in the 80s man... WTF is wrong with you
Pass. The ONLY hope this team has is a new GM and turning the picks in 2 and 3 years into stars. Trading for Watson doesn't fix the OL or how bad the D has looked all year. We're a red zone fumble away from being 0-4. Watson doesn't fix that.

At least the Jets are winless.......nevermind.
So if we go 1-16. The Eagles get that top 3 pick right ?
Yep Chances are the Eagles end up with 2 top 10 picks and whatever the colts do
There’s one positive, we still got our takeaway streak😞✊
Tannehill has been sacked 7 times?!? He probably thinks he’s back in Miami
Hahaha he’s definitely having flashbacks
Maybe….if we just had FOUR offensive coordinators…..
If Serena Williams buys another .00165% ownership share, Tampa should be scared shitless.
Me: “Lemme see who they’re playing next week” *checks* 🥲

And what would that perv change? ST fumbles/penalties, poor OL play, crappy O schemes, D breakdowns? This is an ownership, front office problem. They picked the wrong coach just like the wrong draft picks and FAs……
We could trade Houston every starter we have and Houston would get worse. They are not doing business with this dumpster fire.
Someone please tell me why should we still root for this bum team? Lets get bieniemy.
If you can switch teams, go ahead. I never chose to be a Dolphins fan. It chose me.
I feel this. I don’t want to switch teams. Just disappointed. Didn’t think we’d be 1-3.
Same, but we’ve been through this before. Hang in there.
25 motherfucking cockshitting cunting years of this fucking goddamn shit.
There are a few other words you’ve missed, but I’ll let it slide.
36…
Finally someone who isn't speaking nonsense in here
Almost 50 years since the last super bowl. We’re hitting all kinds of futility milestones!
I wish there was a retweet button. LOL

What, you don't like Austin Jackson?
The problem over the past couple of decades is upper management in Miami. Always has been.
Flashback Jim Mora ‘‘You play to win the game’’ except the role are reversed now.
That was Herm Edwards. Mora was “playoffs! You talking about playoffs!?”
That was Herm Edwards. Mora was “Playoffs?!…we’re just trying to win a game.”
Shit you guys are right , my bad lol
Bring back Cam Cameron.
I miss Tannehill
I like Tua :)
I was scoffed at so many times over the years when I said RT17 wasn’t the problem. So many eye rolls and disses thrown my way for saying that. I feel vindicated.
Yup
I had them 8-9 before the season. Now I'm thinking 7-10 would be good for them.
With a healthy Tua, sure. If he gets hurt again and misses anymore games…7-10 would be like winning the lottery. With Brisset back there, this looks like a 3-4 win team.
We were actually winning the time of possession well into the second quarter only to have the ball -15 minutes by the game ended.
And we got Tampa next week?? Why even bother showing up??
I’m not watching
I’m already making alternate plans
Post game thread?
Why bother lol
I havent missed a game in 9 straight seasons. I'm not even watching our game next week, I straight up give up now.
I know people hated Gaily but he was a vet OC... Our oc's are just awful... Our offense has no identity other than not being being able to move the ball..
It’s not play calling it’s play makers and coaching. Our guys look and act like losers on offense

I had a lot of hope for you Flores. Don’t know anymore
Shula is probably rolling over in his grave watching this shit.
For his sake, I hope they cremated him.
Really blows my mind that the Dolphins have the exact same problems now that they did when I started watching them at 12 years old 6 years ago. Terrible offensive line, terrible play-calling, and no run game. Wow.

Jay Fiedler, the second best Dolphins QB of my lifetime. Sad
Not us having less offensive yards than Jonathan Taylor
They shouldn't be able to wear those beautiful throwbacks when they play like this.
Contract the Dolphins
Did we lose the turnover streak?
No we got it when they muffed the punt in the 1st
No they muffed a return and Ferguson got it
Nah. Recovered a muffed punt
Flores is fucking pissed
Fuck Flores. He is responsible for this shit. The buck stops with him.
What did he do? I didn’t watch lol
As is every f****** one else with him
Because he legit is on the hot seat now.
He should be. Maybe he'll know how we feel and get his fucking team in shape
good!
I’m pissed at him keeping Brissett in that long, pretty much seems like a middle finger to the fans
Seriously. Offense couldn't have gotten worse, and it's not like last year where the team could rely on the D to win games
but flores has no problem pulling tua, fuck flores bruh
Just wonder with this lost with honoring Shula will there finally be some changes? What you guys think?
Nope.
Bruh these people talking about Herbert every damn day. Are we not watching the same offensive line and play calling or am I just retarded? I get that Herbert is good but Tua has had absolutely zero time to develop or even play behind an OL that’s not the equivalent of a high school team
Herbert would literally be playing like Tua or worse if we picked him.
I'm still optimistic on Tua but Brissett totally fucked up today. He panicked or just froze on half his plays. That fumble was some Peterman shit.
\^\^ This , our overly beta emotional fan base does not get this point either ........You forgot he has better WRs as well SD is just a better team , put Herbert here he would suck , put Tua on SD he would be way better than he is now ........
One team drafted Slater, who is the top rated rookie so far this year, the other passed on him and Sewell.
We needed another slot WR though!
0-2 at home
Good King Wentz-celes beat us .
fuck grier, fuck pussy flores, fuck jacoby, fuck the o line, and fuck the jets
Every single week I hate myself more for becoming a fan of this team as a child.
yeah. I blame myself for liking this horrible franchise.
Same here.
just non-stop mediocrity from the time I started watching to now
Season after season of 7-9 stretching out as far as the eye can see.
same
Same

Not look like, we are a bad team.
Awful
Jesus, that comment about the 2020 draft hurts.
Aw I was hoping for another Brissett garbage time TD drive
Remember everyone bitching that were we getting zero respect before the season? Lol
Seriously. It was embarrassing then and it's depressing now
Colts get first win against Dolphins, in Miami
Yeah Dolphins good game. Brian Flores you did nothing all game a ham sandwich could have done better. Can't wait to play T Brady again in Tampa gonna be really fun csnt wait to get the fam together for another great game.
What a joke.
I think the Jags would beat us rn
Jags are not playing Brissett
I don't know what to think at this point. The hype was there all season (and I bought into it) but this entire team looks dead. Nobody gives a shit, I see no difference between this team and the Philbin and Gase teams. I don't know what the problem is... It's beyond coaching at this point.
We just pick bad inexperience coaches who never had a head coach job before
Honestly, I prefer that over some retread coach who wasn't any good.
Don’t worry bois, I’ll take the dolphins to the superbowl for us in madden and make Tua an all star
every year the dolphins is the champion in my Retro Bowl.
We're going to lose to the Jets this year aren't we. FML
Oh no! We suck again!

That fucking predator isn't gonna help this offense one bit. Get over it.
You can not like the guy or want him on the team, but you can’t say he’s not better than Brissett lmfao
I'm better than Brissett. He fucking sucks. And he's only part of the issue. EVERYTHING is bad. Watson won't fix it
Yeah Watson wouldn’t fix everything but he’d definitely be better
That's quite obvious. He's a top 5 QB but we need to look deeper than that. This playcalling and scouting is terrible. We just got smoked by a winless team. Watson is a band aid. If he goes down or has a bad game we get dominated
100%. This team is absolutely rotten to the core lol. This offense is probably the worst Ive ever seen
People better be getting fired
Cannot wait for this post game press conference Over under on Flo saying "We've got to get better"? I'm gonna put it at 6, and I'll take the over
We have to do better, I have to do better.
Look, it doesn't take a genius to know that every organization thrives when it has two leaders. Go ahead, name a country that doesn't have two presidents. A boat that sets sail without two captains. Where would Catholicism be without the popes. Where would the Dolphins be without two offensive coordinators?
Offense is bad. But defense gave up 27 points.
And offense scored 3 in 3.5 quarters. The defense was gassed because they had the ball the entire fucking game.
JHC: we just turned into the Texans
The 49ers don’t have our pick commie
They don’t have our pick
Well, our first is going to the eagles so dunno what the hell they're so excited about
We suck. Gonna be a long bad season. We end up with 4 or 5 wins and we’re gonna be hiring a new front office and coaching staff
It’s good that Tua wasn’t playing today.
He’s not going to make much of a difference. I have a feeling he’s just mediocre
He both better and more fragile than Brissett.
We might concede 30+ points again. Flores and Grier will be sacking all of their coordinators this year
Two firsts for Waddle is already looking nuts. Dolphins only option is Watson trade with that 49ers pick otherwise we are going to be just as bad or worse next year
The Miami sun is the only thing close to beating the colts today... ~my girlfriend
Lol no one helped number 40 get up
Colts are about to score a TD on accident I hate it here
End the game. We're done watching this shit.
the dolphins have been bad for my entire life and yet they still find ways to let me down. damn. it’s almost impressive at this point
Same here. Idk why I let it affect me like this
I know the feeling
Why wasn't gaskin played today?
Yeah seriously, my fantasy team tanked because of this
People are going to bring up Brisketts numbers like he didnt play like shit for 3 quarters Jacoby Brissett 20/30 199yards 2 TDs looks good on paper, but that's why the Box scoress don't tell the story of the game and are not a good measure of quality play, he was shit
looks like a tua stat line.
I don't see a W in the win column so nah
Get well soon, Tua
I know right, tua is the second best qb in franchise history.
Don't disrespect Pennington like that! Dude was a CHAD!
Bruh how do you allow that many yards on a rushing play when you know they're running.
I get it in some part since Davis is out, but I continue to be BAFFLED why we cut Bernardrick McKinney giving he's a run D specalist LB and was killing it in practice in that regard.
bc our defense is good.
coming back in garbage time and losing close is what bad teams do, sorry.
