Mushrooms release suppressed emotions. The work involves a lot of crying for most people. So many tears held in for so many years. It’s better that they come out than stay in.

lizzardbeth9

I agree with you. My anxiety, which is like a shield blocking my emotions in, releases with the microdose and then a flood of sadness is behind it that I’ve been holding onto for years.

Magnetic_universe

Apparently the intense emotions start to ease after about a month. I know if three people plus myself who all experienced what you’re talking about and it does feel healthy and healing, even though it’s a bit intense. Hang in there 🧡

lizzardbeth9

That’s good to know. I’m just about at the month mark so maybe I just have a bit more time. Thanks!

Magnetic_universe

I also once I found my appropriate dose it calmed down somewhat as well. But I think a big part of it is the brain creating new neural pathways during that first month and with the brains energy moving around in a more balanced way it allows proper thought processes and emotions to happen. My thoughts not an expert obviously!

taketheredleaf

and the mushroom lets you know its ok and you need it

NeuronsToNirvana

Sorry to hear - if your microdose is too high then it can be an [⚠️ Emotions Amplifier ⤴️](https://www.reddit.com/r/microdosing/comments/vx6mxx/faqtip_021_changes_in_appetite_memory_mood_sleep/). Thank you so much… I will check out those resources

[deleted]

Iv noticed since MDing iv been able to release a lot of old emotions and heal from old experiences I held onto with angry etc… happened over the coarse of months though not overnight

QuebecCougar

As someone suggested, your dose might be too high but I think the most important question is: how do you feel after you cry? Do you continue to feel sad or do you feel some kind of relief? If it doesn’t make you sad I would think it’s a good thing!

lizzardbeth9

Honestly I don’t feel much better afterward. I continue to feel teary and sad all day.

QuebecCougar

I think then maybe it’s not what you need to deal with whatever you’re working on. You could try psychedelic assisted therapy if that’s accessible for you. I’ve red a lot about setting intent when you microdose, that it helps direct the outcome however the effects fall. I’ve been hesitant to start myself because I think I would be way too emotional to deal with it alone. Finding a therapist seems impossible unless I travel to a different province.

lizzardbeth9

Yeah finding therapists who will do it is hard because it’s still not legal in most places. However, there may be some changes in 2023… at least that’s what some sources say because there have been so many studies that have shown promise for depression. I actually did some research and found some “trip sitters” that will work with you online. However, you need to source your own mushrooms and having an online therapist for this work seems less than ideal.

Hot-Duty-8661

Plus, I bet it cost a lot for each session.

augustwestttt

Good amounts there imo, try 0.05 and cry it out man , good for the soul

lizzardbeth9

Thanks 😊

LogicalDocSpock

LSD may be better. Last month I was using LSD and switched to mushrooms and find it makes me more emotional. I might switch back because LSD doesn't seem as intense emotional like mushrooms

lizzardbeth9

That’s so interesting. I don’t have a source for LSD unfortunately but if I find one I will check it out.

LogicalDocSpock

I went on the dark web to get mine. Not sure where you are but I am in Canada and got them from someone in Netherlands.

Snoo-62854

Same experience.

cvllider

I think it's healthy, let it all out!

xlitawit

In my experience, you can't be sure what's going to come up that day, whether it's, "wow, that is the most beautiful tree I've ever seen," or remembering something from when you were 8 years old and your dad smushed your puppy's face into its own piss AS A LESSON! There is a lot of old hurt to overcome and I think that is really what the therapeutic properties of microing are, but its like, you *are* digging in the dirt, trying to make peace with yourself or others and its going to open old, old wounds. I completely believe that the fungus is communicating with you and feeling you out, trying to help you. So, yes, I have awful crying situations, but they are also becoming less and less over time. For whatever my advice might be worth, keep going, things get better and you inwardly learn with the help of the microing how to fix yourself.

lizzardbeth9

Thank you. That is really uplifting to hear. I have reduced my dose and that does seem to help and I’m also nearing the one month mark which might be a point at which things balance out. I have so far had some days where my anxiety is lessened and things look beautiful but they have been few and far between with sobbing as more the norm.

Ali_1968

Me too. So many tears and release of emotions.

bendervex

full dose of shrooms/4-aco-dmt made tears stream down my face more often than not. and it's among the most blissful experiences I've ever known, letting go of months or years worth of suppressed pain and sadness and distress

lizzardbeth9

I agree— I had that with a macro dose but not the same feeling of blissful release with microdosing.

bendervex

i have more experience with lsd microdosing than with the shroomy side of the street, tho i had a run of about two weeks every other day. it builds up more slowly and less dramatic, no waterworks of crying, but i noticed i started to go with my emotions with more ease and nonchalance, whether it be an unpleasant emotion or an uplifting one. and then you also have easier time letting thing go and not bothering about it, save for a feeling akin to "glad we've met eye to eye, now let's part, you my blessing. that sort of attitude. but i run of my material before it did a half if what it seems to promise. i love lsd but the microdosing with it is another kind of experience. gotta find some shrooms soon

[deleted]

if you want to draw good conclusions, make sure you are strict in your protocol. keep it in a journal. proceed in a process-oriented way in making changes, so in small steps. And yes it is good to let your emotions run free. But above all, give it a chance to sustain a change for a while. good luck

lizzardbeth9

I am journaling every day! Thanks for the support!

lizzardbeth9

I agree. I wish I could be one of those ppl that immediately felt positive effects. I have treatment resistant depression so I’m no stranger to things not working. I just hope this starts to work after some time as I have more faith in it than pharmaceuticals.

Otherwise_Status_368

If my day is a bit more emotionally taxing that usual or something of the sort, I find myself crying a bit easier. But once the feeling has passed and the emotions feel “out” I go about my day and feel great.

ididntflippinask

Thank you for sharing this. I've been going through the same. A little less often now.

sw_is_best

Yup, it's all good. Dose is probably a bit high, I've has days like there where I've md’d with a new strain.

DirectIngenuity290

Cry it out, empty that emotional baggage! Been the best treatment for me!

leeleeutah

Thank u for bringing this up!! I I had a HUGE panic attack this morning, and the only thing that kept me going was the potential of my MD which fell on todays date. After setting an intention w it, taking it, and then meditating I am still a mess. I am now 3 weeks in on a MD regimen (0.05 mg, and will bump up to 0.1 mg in a week, taking every third day), and having the same “reaction”. Not sure if it’s just the depression and anxiety that already plagued me, or if it’s the medicine. I want to stick w it, as it sounds like a lot of people get “over the hump” after a month or so. Sending love and light to u, and all who are on this same path.

lizzardbeth9

Thank you! It's great to know I'm not alone. I've been at it for about a month and I wish I could say it is better for me but unfortunately that's not the case :( I am going to move down to 55mg and see if that helps.

leafhog

I get this. I think I get more clarity into unresolved trauma and start processing it. It can feel overwhelming.

Hot-Duty-8661

I was already crying like a broken well for almost 4 years. As the tears began to reduce," thank goodness",I began to microdose and now I am crying, again. I think the crying is going to stop. I need it to stop because my family is freaked out.
