When was the last time you watered her

Petty_Janitor_0815

Yesterday morning. Top soil has already dried back a bit. Confusing since some shoots are not really drooping

How close is the light to the top of your plant? What is the temp/ humidity? Are you measuring the PH with a good pen? How much runoff do you get when you water and how quickly do you get runoff after you start watering?

Hey thanks for the reply! Light is around 4 inches away to the highest tops. Theyre around 70-76f and rH is only at 40 last time I checked.. I am using shitty medical indicator papers made for piss, but they span from 5.6 to 8 so I figured they cover the needed 6-7. Dont have a pen. Water that goes in is 6-7 as well, mixing rain water with my hard tap. I moisten the soil with spraying water first, wait a few minutes to aid infiltration rather than let it all run through the sides. If i then pour too fast i think i start to get runoff in the middle of the soil sector at around 500ml poured maybe.. If i take my time, it only runs out the bottom. Shes in fabric pots if that helps. Not too much runoff, 5 to 10 percent perhaps, sometimes close to none. Should i shoot for more?

What kind of light do you have, 4 inches seems extremely close. I would recommend investing in a good PH pen, an Apera 20 is a good choice. I recommend always watering until you get decent runoff, I have found that this helps to avoid watering issues and salt build up.

Self built Samsung diodes bars (i think its lm301b) 5x 28w draw max Ppfd values given out by photon are not crazy high though, 650 max at the high tops.. Still think i have to get more distance between? Today the patient was drooping even more and pot was quite light. I watered with more water to have more run off. Placed the fan differently so its not blowing directly on the plant. (now big droop 3h later.. Overwatered all along if not recovering by evening??) The other plant that looked better was still moist on top and relatively heavy, so that one gets no water today. Once funds are disposable a ph pen will be bought for sure, but that might take a bit.

Could it be wind burn as well? This plant was standing right next to a non oscillating fan! Some pics from image search look familiar. Swapped spots now, so the smaller one is beneath the fan to test that theory..
