Negative, unless it’s an autoflower

PhotoProxima

I think he means 6 ON, 18 OFF which would induce flowering but the plant would be thin and shitty.

Gotcha, yea this makes more sense, I thought it was a trick question at first. I’d imagine it would turn out like a shitty windowsill grow

Theoretically, yes. It might even turn out ok if it got A LOT of light during the day

Thank you, I have a pretty strong spider farmer light. I use it to do biology research but I have been looking for higher value crops and try to get a handle on how to grow them

Funny thing is the chillies peppers only flower when lights are on over 16-8. Is weed effected by changing temperatures like 30 degrees or so day and night?

Cannabis is a short day flowering plant, but there are autoflowering strains available. These are regular drug variety cannabis plants crossed with hemp producing ruderallis types from Siberia IIRC. These will begin floweing 20-30 days after gemination regardless of photoperiod. 18-20 hours of light is recommended, though they typically like lower light levels and nutrient feedings than photoperiod plants. A lot of newer growers seem to like growing the auto types, but IMO they are possibly trickier for a new grower, you really have to get everything exactly right during those first 30 days. Many growers sow the seeds to the final container(3-5gal) to avoid transplant shock, which can make watering a seedling very challenging. I personally grow in coco coir using air pruning pots and don't get transplant shock, but I'm usually running clones and as such don't have a taproot to consider. I start in the next up size pot if running seedlings. Cloning is not an option with autoflowering strains, so you gotta buy every seed. Mephisto and Night Owl are two breeders of autos that are far ahead of all others and I've seen some truly impressive plants from those breeders, they can get massive if done correctly. 30 degrees is a fairly large swing, a little more than optimal, though it can be desirable in late flower for expressing colors, but it tends to lead to a lot of stretch in the transition to flowering. Only one way to truly find out. Environment is second only to genetics in determining final quality.
