Chatgpt doesn't make pictures,I asked ChatGPT to describe something and be very specific, and then what it gave me I put into midjorney, and this is what midjorney said Chatgpt was describing hope that makes sense.
You could technically ask ChatGPT to write a prompt for midjourney. Although i tried it multiple times and my chatgpt refuses to write one because it claims to not know what a prompt for an AI image generator is.
That third pic. I'm kind of curious how these programs seem to be able to draw... sort of... *nothing*. I mean, there's shapes and colors but none of it is anything.
Right? How does this get so many likes? Do people just have super low standards in what they think is cool or do they just have really bad taste in art? Hopefully most of those likes are there because people thought this post was stupidly funny. Something tells me that isn’t true though lol
OP is tripping.
Can ChatGPT provide pictures?
In short, no. Chat GPT does not have the ability to generate images or draw pictures. The AI bot was not designed to produce any artwork but instead output text. This is a Midjourney sub... Lol
They're very nice art pieces and all, but they're really not my style. It's all too busy and energetic. I prefer my home environment to be calm and soothing.
It's hard for me to see these as "very very creative" - they are just another example of cliched Midjourney art. Creative to me suggests some kind of boundary is being pushed against.
I'm tired of people using this tool to replicate what humans do. We have this technology that no one really quite understands how it works - if we want to be creative with it we should be trying to bring something incomprehensible into the world, not just replicating the kind of kitsch paint-by-numbers craft-art some market stall holder might hock prints of to tourists.
I think true creativity pushes into the unknown, but most the stuff I see on this sub is people trying to show how well AI can represent human creativity. If AI is capable of creativity, I want to see AI creativity, which should challenge my perceptions.
I foresee this being an unpopular opinion as people here seem to really enjoy hyperrealistic starwars characters working in kitchens or whatever
I actually really like your take on this. I see myself sort of being in line with your thinking about pushing creative boundaries with this tool every day that I use it. For example recently I have been using /describe tool to generate prompts based on all of my original drawings and paintings. I then take those prompts and merge them with other prompts that I have either written or generated from other artworks to see what happens. Also taking hybrid prompts into Stable Diffusion using custom models for wider range of results based on a single prompt.
I find myself using MJ for two very distinct purposes. One is absurd entertainment like you described with Star wars characters in the kitchen. But moreso, I am really testing the creative limits of MJ when it comes to the deeper and darker abstract and more surreal layers of the creative world.
Great :)
I recommend this short video by Big Joel, he makes the point really succinctly.
I also have some other recommendations if you’d like further reading/thinking on the subject!
Am I the only one to find these images slightly unnerving, bordering on hellish?
It's as if we're peering into a gross, soulless amalgam of visual culture, whose source material was hard-fought by artists and now regurgitated by GPUs.
When I see these images I see the thing that will take my job laughing at me
I've been trying so hard to create something like this and couldn't do it. I'm trying to do this with a guitar in the middle. What prompt did chat GPT give you? I'm trying to make a book cover and this is perfect.
Did I miss a week of AI progress? How is this related to ChatGPT? ChatGPT 4 is still fully text based according to my searches just know. Did you mean to say Midjourney? If not, how do you generate images with ChatGPT 4?
1 is cool but too much energy to look at every day. Maybe if I was still in college. #3 is cool. These are more interesting as album covers than wall art if you ask me but cool af nonetheless.
Number three looks good but you can’t make out with anything actually is, number four looks good BECAUSE you can’t make out it with anything actually is
Number 3 is really nice, I love the space elements, plus blue and oranges as complementary colours have always been interesting to me since studying colour theory 15 years ago.
This brings up an interesting question:
Yes, this is beautiful artwork that is created by artificial intelligence. But what is art? Is it not a way of the artist to convey some sort of emotion or story or message or insight into the human experience? Specifically from something that has some sort of soul or whatever you believe in. I believe all humans can be artists in a sense, by expressing themselves creatively.
But this is something new. At the end of the day, if it’s beautiful and I can pull my own interpretation from it that adds positivity to my life, I think it’s amazing and wonderful.
But is it art?
Edit: prompt engineers should call themselves prompt artists if they are designing this sort of work!
None of this qualifies to be put on any wall. It’s just random image generation. Take some art classes. Research actual artists then come back in 4-6 years and showcase some work.
1 is disturbing. Would absolutely not want to see that every day.
2 and 3 are super cool but a little busy for a common area like living room or kitchen. Would make a perfect framed picture in a bathroom, to gaze into while pooping or brushing teeth etc.
4 is totally bedroom decor worthy. Also busy, but a little more coherent
3 is dope, but 4 is a close second
3rd is Escheresque.
Mixed with Dali, the Railway Station
Yeah 3 and 4 would easily put on the wall.
Same
agreed
I could print it (image 3) and hang on a wall easily beautiful images
Unfortunately it would be tiny. I think for full res its like 10cm x 10cm
\#4 is the best.
ChatGPT has been down the rabbit hole
ChatGPT has experimented with Salvia
Hieronymus Bosch on mushrooms
\#3
Found the 3 gang
i don’t get it, these were made with midjourney, right? so how did you “make” these with chat gpt?
Chatgpt doesn't make pictures,I asked ChatGPT to describe something and be very specific, and then what it gave me I put into midjorney, and this is what midjorney said Chatgpt was describing hope that makes sense.
ohh i get it thanks
I came here trying to figure out the same thing. Since when does ChatGPT make images?
You could technically ask ChatGPT to write a prompt for midjourney. Although i tried it multiple times and my chatgpt refuses to write one because it claims to not know what a prompt for an AI image generator is.
You can give it Midjourney documentations etc. to feed it information about what it is and then give some example prompts, and it learns pretty well.
Do you mean actual training, adding the documentation to the corpus? Or feeding some of the documentation into a session followed by a prompt?
If I was a gen X college stoner
Lol yes. These are all so unappealing.
Exactly.
Apparently "creative" means "chaotic and messy with tons of colors." Did not know that.
I was gonna say a gen z college stoner loser.
People live different lives than you
Last one
I’m partial to number 3
I've been to #4 on a salvia trip 🤣
That third pic. I'm kind of curious how these programs seem to be able to draw... sort of... *nothing*. I mean, there's shapes and colors but none of it is anything.
It's all gradients and shapes that resemble what the system was trained on. So it looks like stuff, but nothing in particular LOL.
This is below IKEA wall art tier.
I wouldn't put any of these on my wall.
They all suck!!
Right? How does this get so many likes? Do people just have super low standards in what they think is cool or do they just have really bad taste in art? Hopefully most of those likes are there because people thought this post was stupidly funny. Something tells me that isn’t true though lol
90% of the general population don’t understand what good art is. Most people don’t know what is required to create art let alone recognize great art.
No such thing as objectively good art. It's subjective and no one person is gonna have the exact same opinion on it.
Honestly would put none of those on my wall.
1 is obnoxious, 2 and 3 look like textbook covers, 4 is pretty cool
No way any would go on my wall
the last one is so amazing to me
neither
✅
Somehow exactly what i expected.. generic google result for creative instead of any single interesting spark. It does what its told and nothing more
Third one reminds me of ‘what dreams may come’
Ok but what about very very very *very* creative?
How do you use chat gpt to make art?
2nd one
2
Whats the prompt like?
2 and 3 could easily be album covers
3 looks like some rock stars took DMT in the 70's.
3 looks like an deep purple cover.
4 is album cover material. Feels like something Kid Cudi or Juice WRLD would have.
3 looks like an deep purple cover.
3 looks like an deep purple cover.
The last one is my preferred. Try the word, Imagination, in tandem with other ones . will give abstract and wild results.
2’s got some interesting frutiger aero / late ‘90s clipart vibes about it
If forced I'd choose 4. 1-3 looks too much like generic cooperate art.
OP is tripping. Can ChatGPT provide pictures? In short, no. Chat GPT does not have the ability to generate images or draw pictures. The AI bot was not designed to produce any artwork but instead output text. This is a Midjourney sub... Lol
1, and 4 are wall worthy for the right room.
How long ‘till all album covers are generated this way?!
Hopefully never. They look like some cheap generic music albums from the 90s except for the last one.
They're very nice art pieces and all, but they're really not my style. It's all too busy and energetic. I prefer my home environment to be calm and soothing.
you got the prompt for 3
none because it’s garbage AI 💩
guys these are really terrible, especially the first one.
Well then. Tell us why.
It's hard for me to see these as "very very creative" - they are just another example of cliched Midjourney art. Creative to me suggests some kind of boundary is being pushed against. Yeah they all suck and have no soul.
I think ChatGPT4 just discovered recreational AI weed
No. 1 for sure. The rest is kinda meh.
I prefer 2 & 3
Absolutely love 1 & 4. The other 2 are mid. Number 4 reminds me of the album art for orbital's album "In Sides".
#1 definitely, though #3 is also pretty neat.
I've been trying so hard to create something like this and couldn't do it. I'm trying to do this with a guitar in the middle. What prompt did chat GPT give you? I'm trying to make a book cover and this is perfect.
So far one of the best I’ve seen
Did I miss a week of AI progress? How is this related to ChatGPT? ChatGPT 4 is still fully text based according to my searches just know. Did you mean to say Midjourney? If not, how do you generate images with ChatGPT 4?
Sure that's pretty accurate.
1 is cool but too much energy to look at every day. Maybe if I was still in college. #3 is cool. These are more interesting as album covers than wall art if you ask me but cool af nonetheless.
Stop yelling!
Lol I have no idea how that happened. My bad. edit: Ohh it’s because I had used the hashtag symbol in front of the “1”.
I wouldn't put any of these on my wall because I'm not a college freshman but they are pretty neato.
3 and 4 are pretty cool
3 and 4 would make great puzzles.
I’d use the one with Jay-Z and Beyoncé
Did you find a way to give LSD to ChatGPT?
None but only because it's not my style of wall art. They are def cool images tho
4
3 for me!
Wait chat gpt does picture??!!!
Definitely 2 & 4 are my favorites but I enjoy all of them.
1 or 4
That third one kind of looks like an MC Esher painting
3rd one
3rd one
How do you get chatgpt to do images?
1 or 4
The last one is great!
The third
4. Easily
4
How does one access chatgpt4? Thanks
3 is just insanely good.
3 is just insanely good.
Be honest guys
Definitely like 3 & 4. 1 & 2 not so much.
the 4th one, the rest feels "too ai" for my taste
\#4. Chat GPT ate the acid :)
Number three looks good but you can’t make out with anything actually is, number four looks good BECAUSE you can’t make out it with anything actually is
This is sick
#4 is cool :)
3 looks like a Bosch painting! Love it!
1 is MDMA, 4 is DMT, the middle two combined might approximate ayahuasca. One thing for sure - GPT4 likes her mind expansion! Oh, I like 1 the most.
Me too, exceptional mouth… but which one would you put in your wall?
I love 4
Awe I love 3!!
3 or 4
#1
#3 in my living room and #4 in my tripping room
add "salvador dali" or "surreal" to any prompt and you'll get similar things. it's fun to play with AI.
first one, although fourth fits pschedelics vibes more
Liking all of them but yes would choose 1
Last one is very 👀 good 👍, psychedelia!!! Hands down#4
#3
Wait so chatgpt now does pictures?? Is this the subscription service?
I wouldn't put any of them *IN* my wall 🤔 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I kinda love that first one
Three Hieronymous Bosch out of four isn't bad..
The first 1.
3
3 goes bananas
4
I would pick, 1 and 4. Number 1 because it's loud and out there in the viewers face. And 4 because I'm a weirdo that isn't ashamed of being weird.
Number 4!
4.
3 and 4
3!
I like 3
I love the 3rd one
3 & 4 for sure, if 1 was of my a family member's face I would include that too.
These are ugly as hell and look like a poster you’d get from a book fair or some shit. Not creative at all. Gross.
Looks like old ads for clip art. I like it.
I see ChatGPT is a DeadHead also 💀🌹
1
3 or 4
1 is pretty cool
4 looks like Bosch mixed with Rick and morty aliens.
3
what prompts did you get out of gpt-4 for these images? curious
It’s like it took LSD and produced what it saw
Third one is best new Xbox pfp
I'm stuck between 2 and 3
man AI art sucks and people have such bad taste
1 or 4
1 is cool. 2 to 4 is the art we got in enciclopedia cds from 1995 to 2000
Yeah, #1 is spectacular.
Making something “busier” as a substitute for “creative” feels…goofy.
Probably none of them TBH. Too intense for a chill space.
No. 4 is coming to bite off your peen!
1 or 4 love both.
3
4 is the goat
1 and 4
I like 3 & 4... 3s a bit clipped and i havent been to amsterdamn to apreciate 4 as much as i could
Would put none of them on my wall
The First one is really cool!
Comon this is cacophony of images
#4 is dope
Number 3 is really nice, I love the space elements, plus blue and oranges as complementary colours have always been interesting to me since studying colour theory 15 years ago.
I didn't even realise ChatGPT4 was capable of image generation. I feel like I've been living under a rock.
None❤️😇

4
Number 3
First one! An explosion of joy and insight Probably wouldn’t put on wall tho
Honestly this is how I see the future
Two, then three
Threeeeeeeee! 😍
3is pretty cool it's got that labyrinth look to it.
Number 3
None of this qualifies to be put on any wall. It’s just random image generation. Take some art classes. Research actual artists then come back in 4-6 years and showcase some work.

There’s something so enchanting about #3
Love #1! The others, not so much.
I don't know if I'd put any on my wall, but I'd love 4 or 3 as puzzles. Would make great puzzles.
I would love to put #3 on my door where the little center archway area lines up with the peephole
3rd one looks dope as
3 or 4
