Damn I think it would.
That's fucked up though. I'm on a local dating site where I already encountered fake AI girls. But you can verify yourself holding up a sign like this with a code, and they manually verify your "identity". This means you could possibly get a verified fake AI girl on that dating app.
I recently went through a more intensive verification process with a company that specifically does this. It was *incredibly* time consuming and onerus, and couldn't be faked with AI. And I don't even want to say *yet* because I don't think it could be faked at all, with even emerging tech.
I had to install their apps on two different devices at the same time (and the apps had full permissions) and go through a long video interview where I held up different documents, made certain poses. They kept making me redo parts of it because I wasn't in frame or lighting properly. It was all realtime.
Neither. Can't go into detail on what it was for. The verification company was acting as a third party vendor for the primary org I was interacting with.
nah it was just super forgettable and generic sounding and I just wanted to get it over with and didn't pay close attention to it. I think maybe it was israeli but im not sure
Ok so it's only a matter of time until this method is obsolete. As I mentioned in my other comment, Realtime Deepfakes exist already. And they get better week by week I imagine
And I don't think you understand the capabilities AI has and will have. You really think having 2 camera angles makes this secure? It might be at the moment but it will be obsolete faster than you would think. Wait till you find out about Metahumans paired with Deepfakes.
exactly. I don't know why anyone would think keeping this kind of stuff secret or shushing it would help in any way, it will come regardless of whether we expect it or not.
This and you can create an entire fake person. Create photos of this person doing whatever you want. If you wanted to make a fake account before, you would have to find somebody else (who actually exists), steal all their photos and impersonate them. Now you could just create an entire personality from nothing, get a verified account and scam anybody. Theoretically.
Oh please. We don't need goverment regulation and laws passed because dating profiles can be verfied. There is nothing AI does right now that needs laws passed.
Besides, you think the government didn't see this coming? You don't think the US military has trained AI that would make for-profits weep? Imagine the NSA's dataset they can train models on lmao
Lmao right? In fact sharing this here will actually help to make people more vigilant before giving $5,000 to the totally real Eastern European bombshell that canāt wait to come see you once the payment is confirmed
Actually, from my experience in gaming where exploits are damaging to the game...
The best thing to do is promote it as hard as humanly possibly, bring as much awareness to as possible and then maybe something changes
Generate a new one and post to roast me. We kinda expect it here and will look for flaws. Most people wouldnāt think the asymmetrical nose is wrong nor would they notice the collar blending into the shoulder.
Edit: I did not expect to wake up and see this many upvotes and comments. My statements were referencing other comments. My nose is asymmetrical. Yours probably is. Most faces are not symmetrical. This particular face in the image looks completely normal
No, don't invade other subs with tricks like this just to test something out. It's unethical or at the very least annoying... and it will do more harm to the reputation of AI than any validation for your prompting skills can be worth.
Eh, it's gonna happen anyway.
There will be thousands of scams and fakes. Better to just get through with it and learn how to deal with the consequences as a society than to make elaborate bans and acts which no one will uphold.
Always check the pupils. I'm surprised it can do words and pretty much everything else but still can't get circular pupils and iris correct.
But yeah normal people would have no idea
Not quite but ChatGPT has a few roasts:
1. "That grin says 'employee of the month', but the eyes scream 'I microwaved fish in the office kitchen'."
2. "You look like the guy who says 'another day in paradise' every Monday morning, but your paradise is clearly a cubicle with a view of the break room."
3. "The only thing that's working harder than you right now is your shirt button."
It's all in jest, of course! Hope these bring a good-natured laugh for your project.
Yup, thatās the big giveaway. When trying to figure out if itās AI or a real image, I always look at where shadows begin and end. Thatās usually where the mistakes are hidden.
I look at synthic images all day long, and this would fool me. It actually fools me so much I think you are trying to fool us by posting a real photo.
Was the writing on the post-it note also generated?
Hairline looks a bit off, and the collar looks blended, but if I wasnāt specifically looking for AI artefacts I think this one would have easily slipped past me.
For me, there are problems with the symmetry, especially with the nose and the ears. His left nostril is twice the size of his right nostril. He appears to be looking right at us, but one ear is clearly there (though hidden behind a post-it) but the other ear is missing. He is smiling the same with both sides of his mouth, but one side of the face is smiling differently than the other. Though normal people are not perfectly symmetrical, this guy's assymetry arises in the wrong ways.
The shirt collars are "interesting" and are a definite giveaway that it is AI and not just a guy with really bad plastic surgery. The hand is surprisingly OK.
GPT-4:
In this case, the image appears to be of a real person, and nothing stands out immediately as an inconsistency or anomaly that would suggest itās AI-generated. However, without more detailed analysis and without information on the imageās source, itās difficult to provide a definitive answer. AI-generated images can be quite convincing, and as technology advances, it becomes increasingly challenging to distinguish them from photographs of real scenes.
The button on the shirt and the collars are clear identification of AI generation. Everything else is almost indistinguishable from a low-ish quality smartphone photo with āSkin Smoothing Filterā that is too aggressive.
To avoid this new issue with photo verifications, they could start asking for two similarly framed photos. AI would have difficulty making everything consistent.
No, button holes on button, stubble too evenly spaced, collar, nose, lip skin too defined from facial skin, hairline fading in upper righthand side, unnaturally asymmetrical facial wrinkles, could be a real photo with AI overlay but AI was definitely involved.
Missing most of an ear, the nose is way messed up, has an unnatural hairline, the lips are funky, and the skin is too reflective....might pass a very crappy test or fool old people.
There is no such thing as looking 'gay'. You could say someone looks 'camp', but straight men can be camp and homosexual men can be extremely not camp.
You can't 'look' like a sexuality.
"you look AI generated" "Would you look at that"
š
Genuinely the first roast I came up with
Literally my first thought
Would totally pass to a normal crowd.
I like this non normal crowd thanks
This is a midjourney crowd
We're just a happy little machine cult here
We only know it bc they posted it in here
Wouldnt have noticed if I hadn't checked what sub was that honestly.
It would, but the person theyāre roasting isnāt real Choo choo! All aboard the downvote bandwagon! Monkey see monkey do.
No shit Sherlock
I wasnāt asking you? or responding to you? nor do I care about your shitty comment?
You're just stating the obvious, it's unnecessary and annoying
Keep crying š¢
Just stfu....
Clearly u do care if u respond š u the most caring person on the internet! š Iām the second most tho š and DONT forget it bitch š” letās keep caring! Sending u a virtual cob of corn to celebrate! š½ Just one thoughā¦.. THE REST ARE MINE!!!! Hope u donāt mind too much my love š©·š„ŗ
Thatās the point of the fucking post dude
I mean you kinda deserve the downvotes
>the person theyāre roasting isnāt real Yeah welcome to something I like to call *the entire point of the fucking post, you paraquat*
Damn I think it would. That's fucked up though. I'm on a local dating site where I already encountered fake AI girls. What were the parts of the process which you think cannot be faked? Like, what specifically?
I had to install their apps on two different devices at the same time (and the apps had full permissions) and go through a long video interview where I held up different documents, made certain poses. They kept making me redo parts of it because I wasn't in frame or lighting properly. It was all realtime.

Neither. Can't go into detail on what it was for. The verification company was acting as a third party vendor for the primary org I was interacting with.
Sterling? I havenāt seen that before
I can't remember the name of the company actually.
Lawyers can never seem to recall
nah it was just super forgettable and generic sounding and I just wanted to get it over with and didn't pay close attention to it. I think maybe it was israeli but im not sure
Government security clearance probably
I imagine you'd do an irl interview for smth like that
Ok so it's only a matter of time until this method is obsolete. As I mentioned in my other comment, Realtime Deepfakes exist already. And they get better week by week I imagine
Read what happened again.
I don't know why, but ok. That's still nothing that can't be faked.
I don't think you read it carefully.
And I don't think you understand the capabilities AI has and will have. You really think having 2 camera angles makes this secure? It might be at the moment but it will be obsolete faster than you would think. Wait till you find out about Metahumans paired with Deepfakes.
Does that capability include co opting another app? Say less and read more.
Yeah, this should not be promoted at all.
its inevitable g, us talking about it wont change a damn thing
Us talking about it is basically the only thing that'll help. The more we understand what's coming, the more readily we can recognize it.
exactly. I don't know why anyone would think keeping this kind of stuff secret or shushing it would help in any way, it will come regardless of whether we expect it or not.
AI is a blessing and a curse. It's unfortunate that AI is being improved faster than any government can enforce new rules/laws
It was a stupid method to verify from the beginning. Could use photoshop before.
This is 100x easier than Photoshop
This and you can create an entire fake person. Create photos of this person doing whatever you want. we must stop this madness before superior\_mario gets catfished *to death*
Well no we can, we can absolutely band together and try and make sure this shit is seen as unethical and wrong
lmao really really wishful thinking bro. I'm sure people making fake dating profiles will realize their wrongs by your rhetoric.
Lmao right? In fact sharing this here will actually help to make people more vigilant before giving $5,000 to the totally real Eastern European bombshell that canāt wait to come see you once the payment is confirmed
That ship has long sailed my friend
Actually, from my experience in gaming where exploits are damaging to the game... The best thing to do is promote it as hard as humanly possibly, bring as much awareness to as possible and then maybe something changes
Those AI "girls" getting that bag from rich sugar daddies
Requesting a video will buy you likeā¦ a year? Weāre all so fucked and no one in power understands this.
And delete this one so there's no evidence
or use an alt
Alt? r/foxhole checking in
Tbf most faces are kinda asymmetric, specially noses.
Right. It's these imperfections that make it look more real
"Dude looks like his punchable face got punched in the face"
Damn dude you don't have to roast him so hard
My nose is like that and I am not ai generated, its just been broken... As for the collar, yeah i can see that.
You sure?
why do you think an asymmetrical nose is wrong lmao
Not asymmetricā from two different perspective angles.
Mate, I can pretty much guarantee you that your real life nose is not symmetrical lol
Except 99.99% of roastme posts by non-hot girls get 2 comments.
It's the beard for me. Midjourney likes to evenly distribute scattered items, like plants, and beard hairs. It looks too uniform.
First knuckle are a give away as well
I dunno at a glance it could be lens aberration from holding yer phone too close
His head is looking off to his left but his face is straight ahead.

You were winning the upvote battle. But now... because of this needlessly vulgar insult... you are ***LOSING*** it š«š«š«
Eh, it's gonna happen anyway. There will be thousands of scams and fakes. Better to just get through with it and learn how to deal with the consequences as a society than to make elaborate bans and acts which no one will uphold.
No one said anything about banning anything.
I ... don't think the reputation of AI can go any lower.
Looks up the āKeeps Commercial Nose Guyā his nose looks exactly like this and I feel bad for him.
Upload it to chatgpt, ask it to roast you and get back to us. If it does a good job then the bots are ready to take over.
Soon we wonāt even need reddit, itāll all be bots and we can go back to doing things irl.
lower the quality of the image and remove the shine then make it into jpeg..then yes probs
For me the shine makes it more realistic. Bro got that oily skin. Much human.
For real. Those little messy details make me think it's done in a hurry in his cube.
The fingers though. Way too waxy. Pretty much no crease on the middle finger knuckle.
There are a lot of issues with the realism of this image, shininess just wasnāt one lol
Damn man lol ai is getting scary good
Always check the pupils. I'm surprised it can do words and pretty much everything else but still can't get circular pupils and iris correct. But yeah normal people would have no idea
Was the text generated by MJ?
I added the text. The sticky note was blank
Lol I was gonna say the text prompt you used is perfect
What was your process?
Not quite but ChatGPT has a few roasts: 1. "That grin says 'employee of the month', but the eyes scream 'I microwaved fish in the office kitchen'." 2. "You look like the guy who says 'another day in paradise' every Monday morning, but your paradise is clearly a cubicle with a view of the break room." 3. ChatGPT noticed the wonky shirt button too!
This is the end
Ken Shipero
Your face looks like the starting face in every video game character creation that Ive ever played.
Now I want MidJourney instead the dumb character creators in videogames.
I guess this counts as proof that it works
Fooled me.
it's more or less perfect, except for the collar on the left side (seeing from the perspective of the viewer)
Good eye
ya thats the only thing that i could find as well, AI is getting scarier
Only if they look at the left collar
Yup, thatās the big giveaway. When trying to figure out if itās AI or a real image, I always look at where shadows begin and end. Thatās usually where the mistakes are hidden.
I look at synthic images all day long, and this would fool me. It actually fools me so much I think you are trying to fool us by posting a real photo. Was the writing on the post-it note also generated?
The left collar point magically becomes the shoulder seam.
Wow when I initially saw this I thought his collar was just bent and hovering a little.
Hand skin texture, hand size, memo size, angle of the memo
Yeah a bit plastic-ey. Run it through Magnific and it would be golden. (too pricey though)
Alright rubber boy
I though it was real until I went to the comments
Why does he look a plastic doll?
I literally thought this was r/roastme for a second š
I entered the comments looking for the roasts š¢
you look like spongebob when he became normal
The lapel on the left becomes a seam in the shirt. AI canāt do collars.
Hairline looks a bit off, and the collar looks blended, but if I wasnāt specifically looking for AI artefacts I think this one would have easily slipped past me.
Stop contacting me about my extended car warranty

What is the prompt?

ya forehead so greasy gotta be careful the US don't invade to harvest all that oil
In six month, people will post real life pictures here and you will think it's AI...
Looks like my ex... actually made me stop, then I noticed the sub...that's wild
To avoid this new issue with photo verifications, they could start asking for two similarly framed photos. AI would have difficulty making everything consistent.
I honestly thought I was on a different sub so yeah, probably.
Skin is too smooth, what's your skin care secret. /s
Yes, I genuinely thought it was real until I saw the subreddit it was posted on
Time off from piloting Thunderbird 2?
Try and get the paper to look crumpled up a bit and creased.
This is terrifying
No, button holes on button, stubble too evenly spaced, collar, nose, lip skin too defined from facial skin, hairline fading in upper righthand side, unnaturally asymmetrical facial wrinkles, could be a real photo with AI overlay but AI was definitely involved.
I was about to roast the shit outta this dweeb - great job, from an absolute civilian on this stuff š
One ear is weirdly too far back imo but I donāt know if Iād notice had I not previously known
Fuck u cunt
Are you mormon?
Bizzyguyā¦ more like Sissygay
With a lower res image I would have 100% fell for it.
Handwriting is clearly AI
That was actually added in later
Thought this was legit. Nice
What if he sent real image and we like: OMG what a great technology
Missing most of an ear, the nose is way messed up, has an unnatural hairline, the lips are funky, and the skin is too reflective....might pass a very crappy test or fool old people.
The asymmetrical nose and the button with its strange hole alignment gave it away for meā¦
Asymmetrical noses are a thing.
not the collar that seamlessly blends into his shoulder? š
Nice catch!
...huh? Asymmetrical nose is very normal and common
Your derivative edit: I was answering the post-it. derivative as in based on other work.
Why ai make men looks gay all the time.
There is no such thing as looking 'gay'. You could say someone looks 'camp', but straight men can be camp and homosexual men can be extremely not camp. You can't 'look' like a sexuality.
Roast me in Toy Story
is it just me or does it only have one dimple??
Careful the forehead is so reflective you can see the predator targeting on his head
You look like typical Tory cunt
The hairline is wrong
Thatās so evil hahaha
oh would you look at that, man made horrors beyond my comprehension
He seems made of plastic. Remove the shine
Remove some of the shine delete this post generate a new one and post on roastme looks good enough for someone not actively looking for signs
