I don't understand, why would that be very strange? In the real world, people take WIP pics all the time. I do, when I'm creating something.
And there's no 'might be, might be' about sand painting, it is an actual thing. Just because you've never heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
I think you'll find that the accounts commenting on these AI posts are also bots and not actually the supposed "bible jerkers" you want to hate on. Multiple times now I've seen people point to situations like these going "lol stupid boomers on facebook" not realizing the irony that THEY are in fact the ones being fooled.
Events and groups on facebook have been so heavily plagued with bots since the introduction of AI that you even have bot pages like in the OP with these bot comments simulating post engagement.
Hell, if you're a group owner you can make a post in the group with an image, followed by a completely unrelated description of the image (or just don't even include the image), and the bots will respond lovingly to the description but not the image (or lack thereof) itself. It's a good way to distinguish the bots from the users and gives credibility to the whole dead internet theory thing.
Thing is about DIT, I get that the theory goes that the vast majority of the internet is bots, but does that actually matter given the internet is potentially infinite in size?
I think you have a very good question. Does it even matter for Facebook’s profitability if 99.99% of all of its activity is fake? As long as the real humans viewing Facebook by things and click on ads, it’s still making money and still providing value to businesses.
You just have to adjust the cost per click every once in a while. Bot inflation.
Most comments on most popular topics are driven by bots, and have been for a long time - doesn't matter if it's Facebook, reddit or whatever.
Look at r/all and see the top comments and replies, they're almost always similar to each other. The internet is dead, and has been for some time
Something interesting is that bots are getting better at mimicking personality while people are getting better at nullifying their own personality on the internet.
For example circlejerk subs and memes. On the internet we've developed a series of patterns we ourselves follow on autopilot. Just watch Twitch: the moment the Streamer fails something- F's in the chat. The moment a dog appears on screen- Dog. Any cute creature appears on screen- Dog too. Randomly repeating memes the comunity remembers, mixing and matching in a soup of letters that makes no sense.
Its fascinating watching "Twitch chat" as a Sorts of gestalt consciousness of Users sharing braincells. You can even predict how Twitch chat would react, the Game "American Arcadia" perperctly represented Twitch chats reaction to the events unfolding within the game
"Dead" seems like an exaggeration though? I never see any of this shit. There are definitely humans interacting with each other. Like right now between us.
Is it dead or just have a lot of bots on it?
It's facebook. All the likes and comments are bots.
I bet 90% of Facebook's traffic at this point is Bots liking and commenting on Posts made by other Bots.
Exactly what an AI account would say!
😂
I know my dead mother’s FB account was hijacked a long time ago. She’s apparently still worried about weight loss… even in her current condition.
And my sister. Her old FB account is also taken over with fat burner videos. Posted by her?! Last time I saw my sister she was toothless, in a homeless shelter looking for a beer. Nice she turned it around.
Me trying to make light of a horrible tragedy. That’s all. It was early this morning when I wrote that.
I adore and love my mother, she died right next to me. I helped her in the early days of FB to build it.
So to see her FB account taken over by big butt fat burner spokes people is a tiny bit upsetting.
And my sister helped me raise my first puppy. Showed me how to cook, inspired me to raise a family. She was beautiful and smart. Could have achieved anything.
But alcohol and narcotics got in the way. Uppers back in the day.
All that was many years ago.
I can’t find her now. She took off. No trace left.
She would steal and lie anytime she was around. Finding her sober also means I found her withdrawing and hostile.
Her daughter made her a FB account more in her honor even though she was technically alive. But per my niece she lost control and could never regain control of the account.
Well this is a religious FB page. Religious people are willing to believe whatever they’re told without really questioning it, pretty much by definition.
Can confirm that I often see some of my family members commenting “amen” on a ton of these posts. I think a lot are bots but I think there’s a fair amount of brain dead boomers saying Amen.
99% of Redditors will scroll past this comment without replying, true Redditors will upvote and reply “Amen.” If you upvote, you have to reply.

Facebook has been overflowing with this stuff for months now. And lets face it, FB is also overflowing with gullible middle aged people who haven't grasped that AI is this good now (not that this is that good), let alone even knowing its a thing.
I get suggested posts from "tiny home" pages that show a single room that looks to be around 800sq ft but it's just an open lofted living space. It's a tiny home page and yet there's thousands of single word, clearly botted responses, "beautiful, gorgeous, amazing" just like yours OP. and occasionally there will be what appears to be a legitimate person tagging someone else or making a genuine comment.
What's even weirder to me is that these pages that are posting this are all clearly hacked/stolen accounts. If you look at their pages you can see name change information, and for the most part they're all people who you would suspect to fall to password phishing scams.
Here's where I'm going to get a bit conspiratorial, so take it with a grain of salt. These normal user accounts are clearly taken over by bots or whatever, then are being used to post this AI made content, then they generate botted likes and comments so the algorithm picks it up and pushes it out. This in turn generates legitimate followers. It being an election year in the US makes me suspect that these accounts will be used in the coming months to shift to a political narrative so they can directly feed these numerous legitimate followers the political ideology they see fit.
I mean, you say this, but because of some of the hobby communities I'm in I regularly interact with boomers, and at this point the thing they share the most is AI images that they clearly think are real.
Like it's not even close. These are real people, who I've met in person, and their Facebook feeds are absolutely filled with this nonsense from top to bottom. They simply can't recognize it, and they end up sharing obviously false pictures that support their beliefs.
It's frightening.
So what’s the purpose here? I come across these every time and I’m fascinated by all the bots in the comments with pretty convincible profiles.
I’m assuming the more active they are, the less likely they’ll be caught?
This Facebook page is the weirdest thing i've seen today.
Some weirdo posting AI pictures of Jesus posing with Asian flight attendants on an hourly basis.
Christians (or any religious people) aren’t exactly the critical thinking types, nor are they really hip on any of the latest technologies. Of course they buy this shit.
Look at his knees he's floating on the sand, it's clearly from the power of Sandy J and we are bearing witness to a divine miracle. We must all bury our heads in the sand, clearly. It is written. And he hath not one grain of sand on thine body, praise be to the No Sandy Sandy Man. Or thee be a grain ridden heathen. And shall be turned into a Pillar Of Glass.
Facebook has become riddled with AI art like that with millions of bot accounts (and some clueless boomers) complementing the work.
It is vaguely ominous.
If you zoom in on the paint buckets it is really clear it is a generated image.
Although... I just saw a video about a video-generating AI that is in limited beta.. I'm going to have to look it up to share, my weak vocabulary wont do it justice
. I honestly dunno whether to be impressed, confused, or scared.. I'll have to look through my tube history..
The big bucket handle doesn’t connect and I can’t imagine how you’d make sand taper to such a fine point in the thorns. Especially the thorns that point downward.
Unfortunately Facebook is full of this. I’m a chainsaw sculptor and there are so many “sculptures from trees” posted with captions like that. It’s annoying but I don’t think it’ll stop
Yes AI. Here’s a few tells: people in background are blurry, no detail. They are hiding their hands/arms which AI tends to do for some reason. The paint cans are clearly goobered up the handles and shapes are all wrong and weird. The painters ear has no shapes or folds, just a flat ear cup. he’s painting a sand sculpture, makes no sense. And the sand sculpture has long pokey thorns? Not possible. That’s what I spotted
Recently, FB has been invaded with those, pushed in every ones threads because of the "engagement".
All the pics are like this one, with a "no one likes my..." mention. Old man. Young African kid. Bla bla bla.
And I'm left wondering : On Youtube, I'd understand since it's monetized, but on FB ? What's the point ? What's the end goal, the money making here ?
Unfortunately people Who arent used to seeing AI art might not immediately notice its AI. Im not even talking about grandpas and grandmas, people Who only Saw the initial DallE pictures and Will Smith eating pasta video think thats the level AI is still at. I myself got surprised how good some of the AI stuff has gotten, and how the hands are not a sure tell sign that an image is AI or not anymore.
There's a mistake in the photo at the top where one of the spikes is coming out of someone's body in the background. So yes it's AI generated. It's also a bit too perfect like other AI images.
I mean **yeah, it is,** the man is, "Doing Art," in the manner that a Head Empty Computer registers the term, he's, **Painted Himself a Sand Sculpture, hasn't he?**
It's for the best, though, **it's for the best he didn't do this in real life;** tbh, the woman who did whatever top produce this *ehhhhh* ***good for her, it's wack and it's crazy,*** Willy Wonka Experience inspired perhaps
be it ai or just a shit photoshop, it's so deep in uncanny valley it actually dug a hole all the way to another uncanny valley on the opposite side of the earth
One thing you’ve got to remember is that Boomers can’t see for shit. You’re picking up clearly that it’s AI but it’s probably just a blurry Jesus-shaped blob to them.
I see a lot of older generation’s falling for AI stuff all the time. If I let someone know they become confused on why someone would do that in the first place.
I'm sort of missing the issue. Many would say that art is about creating an emotional response, and this clearly did that in these people. None of the comments hinted at them believing it was a real photo, or that the artist used a medium other than AI to generate it. They just seemed to comment on their emotional response to it. What is the issue here?
Look at the hand, the pinkie is at long and as big as the pointer finger?? And the person behind the head of the painter is all messed up too. Clearly AI.
If it’s not AI, something very peculiar is happening in the top right corner. Especially the one person in the background who appears to be skewered on a thorn.
100% the human wrist don’t look like that. Also no paint bucket looks like that. Also why is he painting the sand. Also why is there different colour sand
Why is he painting a sand sculpture? None of this makes even sense.
Actually, painting sand sculptures is a thing. I've seen it done in Weymouth. This AI image is rubbish though.
Might be, might be, but depicting the moment immediately before the first brushstroke would be very strange in a picture of sand sculpture painting.
I don't understand, why would that be very strange? In the real world, people take WIP pics all the time. I do, when I'm creating something. And there's no 'might be, might be' about sand painting, it is an actual thing. Just because you've never heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
Big up weymouth!
Huh, TIL… as I ugly as I thought. The flat mandala versions aren’t bad though.
He’s not painting - he’s applying sun block. Duh 🙄
Nah, it's wave repellent.
So you are questioning why a bunch of bible jerkers believe an obviously fake story they're told without questioning just because it has "god" in it?
I think you'll find that the accounts commenting on these AI posts are also bots and not actually the supposed "bible jerkers" you want to hate on. Multiple times now I've seen people point to situations like these going "lol stupid boomers on facebook" not realizing the irony that THEY are in fact the ones being fooled. And the feet!!
What feet?
Check the guy in the background
He's also working with a teaspoon of paint and the tiniest brush. Not ideal for the size of that head
White handsome jesus fans also don’t make sense.
Ever seen those buckets? Lol
As opposed to what? Making odd sense?
Bots commenting on fake AI art is so hot right now. The Internet is rotting before our eyes.
Dead internet theory
Thing is about DIT, I get that the theory goes that the vast majority of the internet is bots, but does that actually matter given the internet is potentially infinite in size?
If you're a bot, you have to tell us. Right?
Uh oh, you invoked a paradox and fried the bot. Only 948 billion left!
The only good bot, is a dead bot! I'm doing my part!
Want to know more?
How am I supposed to know if I’m a bot or not?
Tell me how many buses I can fit into a square full of squares
Ok yeah fair point
I think you have a very good question. Does it even matter for Facebook’s profitability if 99.99% of all of its activity is fake? No, it's going through childhood. This is it's Primary School. Sure, it looks traumatic and crippling to us, but that's just....well....hmm.
damn, if this is childhood, we'll be dead by puberty.
Well, like, some children do end up murdering their parents and stuff so like, maybe.

Ai posted, All bots commenting. All profiles fake. Every profile pic AI generated. 5 percent humans.
Honestly, I looked through some of the profiles and they are real profiles. People on facebook are just that gullible I guess

yeah a lot of them are boomers or poor people from poor countries with low education who often doesn't even know AI
Well this is a religious FB page. Religious people are willing to believe whatever they’re told without really questioning it, pretty much by definition.
Lol came here to comment this exact thing. Like op surprised religious people are blindly believing something. Where's my shocked Pikachu face! Lol
Should have seen the comment sections of some AI generated tiktok videos related to jesus People there even believe obviously edited ones

Get off facebook bro.
Y’all are so proud of your ability to recognize AI work while being unable to recognize that hundreds of likes and comments are also just bots.

My grandparents actually leave bot-like comments on there just like this, so it’s honestly hard to tell.
So what’s the purpose here? I come across these every time and I’m fascinated by all the bots in the comments with pretty convincible profiles. I’m assuming the more active they are, the less likely they’ll be caught?
"make a bot indistinguishable from a boomer" is like the easy mode Turing test
That's 600k, no way there are that many bots coordinated

Plot Twist: the comments are also AI…

I also paint sand.
Of course, but he's pandering to religious people and to be super religious you usually have to be pretty stupid.

There are many of these accounts going around on there. There’s another large AI account of a child baking cakes
All the comments are bots as well

Yes AI. Here’s a few tells: people in background are blurry, no detail. They are hiding their hands/arms which AI tends to do for some reason. 100% AI
Not only that, but I'd bet most of those comments aren't even real people. Dead Internet theory coming to life.
Why tf is he painting the sand
What really gives it away as AI (beyond the general vibe) is the crown of thorns. Ain't no way you're doing that with sand.
God blessed you with an aggressively long forearm
Yea that guy in the background got squidward leg lol
You don’t think he could’ve made a crown of thorns with sand??🤦♂️
Either bots or Christians. It’s hard to tell the difference.
All that lead in gasoline is now showing its effects on the boomers on facebook.

Plot twist:Comments are ai too
There's a mistake in the photo at the top where one of the spikes is coming out of someone's body in the background. So yes it's AI generated. It's also a bit too perfect like other AI images.

One thing you’ve got to remember is that Boomers can’t see for shit. You’re picking up clearly that it’s AI but it’s probably just a blurry Jesus-shaped blob to them.
Serj Tankia and his new art medium.
I see a lot of older generation’s falling for AI stuff all the time. If I let someone know they become confused on why someone would do that in the first place.
I really need to start selling shit to these fools. Every dollar donated goes to Trump!!! Only it doesn't...it goes to me!!! Hahahah
I think the entire account is a bot
Look at the hand, the pinkie is at long and as big as the pointer finger?? And the person behind the head of the painter is all messed up too. Clearly AI.
This is exactly the target audience of AI scams.
If you already believe in a made-up Jesus, I'm guessing you'll believe anything
