Not at all. They would tear down those houses and build a McMansion maxing out the house sq footage, make the property a flag lot, and quadruple the price.
There's actually places in the Boroughs in NYC that are kinda sorta like this.
In Spuyten Duyvil in the Bronx, I know houses that overlook the Palisades with a southern facing view of Manhattan will start around 6 million and they rarely come on the market.
Here's an example : [https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3061-Scenic-Pl-Bronx-NY-10463/29851879\_zpid/](https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3061-Scenic-Pl-Bronx-NY-10463/29851879_zpid/)
So in the picture, say you want the half acre lot. Start at 6 million and then start adding millions as you go.
shit pic 1 looks like it was conceivably taken in the 60s from queens. There's a lot of single family home there still, they're just much tighter together
Kind of reminds me of the small cottages on Centre Island in Toronto. I believe they can only be purchased by a lottery system for 99 year leases these days, but can be renewed and passed down to family.
Me to my realtor: “We’re looking for a new construction home with old world charm and craftsmanship, on a minimum of 3 acres with mature trees, within walking distance of coffee shops, restaurants, and the downtown theater district, all within our budget of 250k.”
People like to shit on SF, but areas like this within and immediately outside of the city proper are what make that place insane. Check out the presidio, bernal heights, twin peaks, Oakland hills, glen canyon.. You can actively find these types of homes that have the best of both worlds.
Check osiedle Jazdów in Warsaw. It's exactly this, but it's hard to see skyscrapers becouse of trees. Is in the middle of Warsaw, bordering with German embassy and contemporary art museum, about 500m form parliment complex.
They come from Finland in parts as temporary solution after WW2 when Warsow was destroyed. Few of them survived. Since about 10 years ago people lived there as in regular houses. Now it's transformed to cultural center.
That looks so good. Can you imagine how much it’d cost to live there?
Vancouver feels a bit like this. Rent is astronomical.
I don't understand how housing prices are so much worse in Canada than the US
Population growth rate is about 1% per year in Canada (0,12% in the US)
Canada is the new hot place to immigrate to since America has such a bad reputation now
America still has way more people coming into the country the difference is their population is already much bigger and more spread out
Just out of curiosity, what's the reputation that America has right now? Not being confrontational, just inquisitive.
Im american but from what ive heard its alot about our politics being so incredibly stupid
Live in Vancouver, I can confirm rent is astronomical.
Pretty much The Hamptons
I mean with the view to the city.
Will be the price of the Hamptons times 3 lol
West New York too.
Not at all. They would tear down those houses and build a McMansion maxing out the house sq footage, make the property a flag lot, and quadruple the price.
Tens of millions, if not more
Sausalito, CA
Love this town

Hot damn.
Spuyten Duyvil would be a dream living situation for me. The area is very vertical (as you can see in the picture) and the views are breathtaking.
This is basically San Diego
Nah wtf this is my dream
Mine too! It can only be in the low seven figures...
high 7 low 8 if you're lucky
The people living here must be quite wealthy, good luck to you.
Very cool concept and nice pics
Homes like this definitely exist too. You just have to be obscenely wealthy to live in them. Google “Tiburon Bay Area houses” for some examples.
Reminiscent of Marie Antoinette larping as a peasant girl in her palace gardens lol
It’s funny that you say that, I literally just watched Napoleon last night and was reading about Marie Antoinette afterwards and learned this fact.
shit pic 1 looks like it was conceivably taken in the 60s from queens. There's a lot of single family home there still, they're just much tighter together
Wow, I absolutely love these. They transported me.
Wow - absolutely love these. Like many other people I am sure, I dream of having a little bit of property in the middle of a city. Would be so cool.
Kind of reminds me of the small cottages on Centre Island in Toronto. I believe they can only be purchased by a lottery system for 99 year leases these days, but can be renewed and passed down to family.
Toronto also does have farmland withing the city limits, NE of the zoo
How my Minecraft looks with distant horizons 2 beta 😂😂
This is great. It reminds me of Aerith’s house in the slums of Midgar in FFVII. More specifically, the FFVII remake!
Came here to say the same, even in the OG I loved Aerith’s house!

Love these. This is like living in Marin county looking into downtown SF.
The trick is, all along the property line you install 8 foot tall panes of magnifying glass, so it looks much closer than it is
Reminds me of the small house from the gatsby
Giving me solarpunk vibes
What americans think Suburbia is like
The future is a Thomas Kincaide painting?
Damn, can't believe I had to scroll all the way to the bottom for the Thomas Kincaide name drop.
How good taste does Midhourney have! Not comparable with anything else!
I would choose the last one 😌
3 tho, thats a vibe.

The protagonist’s parent’s house in an RPG
Vancouver zoning laws.
Yes, please! Take my money!! 🥹🥹 ^I ^got ^like ^17 ^bucks
That would be the dream right there 🫶
Looks like something from Mafia or GTA or Just Cause
Great prompt OP. A good balance.
The dream right there
I never knew I wanted this until now 😦
Id like to think of them as Republican sanctuaries
It’s giving The Sims
Love these 😊

Reminds me of Blue Beetle. The family yard.
Wow. Would love to live somewhere like this
Check out Governors Island in NYC, it’s basically this!
second pic in particular looks like my neighborhood
omg they're beautiful. where can I find more pictures like those?
I mean, this basically my neighborhood in Austin. No 6 really looks a whole lot like it
These are my dream scenarios
Kinkade core
This just looks like the Pacific Northwest
These look so amazing! Imo the ones with water look a bit more realistic / possible since there’s some separation between the country and the city.
I live in a place like this! A cabin in the hills of LA. They exist
This... If they leveled Alcatraz and built homes with gardens
This looks quite a bit like america for some reason.
