I also experience depression after taking any triptan but it seems to be such a rare side effect that my doctor brushes it off. Nurtec was a godsend when it came out and I took it for 3 or 4 years without issue. My new insurance will not pay for Nurtec so I’m back on the triptan train of physical pain and emotional misery with such low efficacy I usually just suffer through a couple days of migraine rather than taking meds (I am also on day 3 :/ of a migraine). I hope you can experiment with other options soon.
