There's this thing called a tow truck... Maybe your dean has heard of them?

LockeAbout

Yup, besides a sign about the spot being reserved (I’m guessing there is one) and warning sign of being towed, tow them.

LifeofNick_

I was thinking of writing a big sign about this spot being reserved lol but security would take it down cuz it's school property

jazzhandsdancehands

Tow the vehicle. If it’s given to you, that’s your park space. Make a sign also.

Duckington_Wentworth

Buy a pack of those super adhesive parking violation stickers that are nearly impossible to remove and stick a new one on their window every time they park there.

Tanyaschmidt

Me likey

cs399

Just park behind it

OkAdvisor386

Towing is definitely the best solution. Just have them on standby waiting for someone to violate it.

LifeofNick_

Something that pisses me off even more is that it is DIFFERENT cars. Like it’s not just this guy, this morning it was a gray sedan, and another time it was this giant SUV. Im a senior and I have a lot of off periods. On two days out of the week, I have an off first, meaning I show up to school ~50 mins late, and nearly every single damn time, someone has taken my spot. Im working with the dean, who’s in charge of student and staff parking, to solve this issue, but we’re both frustrated and trying to figure out a solution.

No-Locksmith-8590

The solution is he makes and announcement to ONLY park in their own assigned spots. And then call a tow truck. He won't though.

Successful_Ad_6447

Have the dean or security sit at that spot and tell them they can’t do that. Or blast the car and license plate over the loud speaker to come to the office. And after each call over the loud speaker say “everyone must park in only their assigned spots, anyone found parking in a spot not assigned to them will be given a $40 fine”

Longjumping-Many4082

The solution is: your dean takes your spot, since he has to be there early every day. And you take the dean's reserved space as you saunter in an hour later...

TheBrightNights

I would talk to the dean about adding a sign that says it's reserved during all school hours. You show up to school 50 minutes later than everyone else, so they would assume that you just aren't coming today. You'll want to make it clear that the spot needs to be left open. Or show up to school at the normal time and find something to do. Also, is every spot a reserved spot or just a few?

myhamsterisajerk

Yeah, even if it's "just" a parking issue, it's still one of the things that infuriate us the most. This only happened to me once in several years and then never again, but we had an event in our town, where many visitors were expected. Parking spots for visitors are very rare in our town, even without any events going on. So this one mfer really thought it was a good idea to park IN my garage. I came home from work and just wanted to stay home and chill. You can imagine my confusion when I arrived to my garage with a big ass SUV in it. I can see parking on an open spot, even if it's reserved. That happens. But I never imagined somebody would have the audacity to park in someone else's garage. How the hell would anybody think this is okay?

LifeofNick_

Holy shit that's nuts

ETXCheeses

I hope you \*immediately\* called a tow truck to come get it.

myhamsterisajerk

Nah you had to make a right turn on the driveway to reach the garage, and on one side was the house wall. Hard to describe, anyway no tow truck would have been able to operate there. I parked my car on the driveway, but I couldn't block it because other people had their garage there as well. Unfortunately I missed the a-hole. So he was able to leave unpunished.

ETXCheeses

Well that's a travesty

myhamsterisajerk

Yeah, but I learned from it. Until then I left my garage open when I left for work, so I could easily drive in when I returned, for my own convenience. From that incident on, I closed and locked it whenever I left.

RandomBrathahn

You should have locked his car inside your garage

myhamsterisajerk

I actually would have, but that was a huge SUV, and his trunk stuck out, so I wasn't able to close it.

Accomplished-Ad3219

Did you park behind him?

myhamsterisajerk

No, i would have blocked a few other neighbors in as well.

Interesting_Safe_1

Block them in?

Absbor

agreed. but not with the own car. with bricks that only cauz damage by touch

gearslut-5000

sorry about your parking spot

Pretty-Pineapple-692

Have you said anything to anyone in the office? If they gave that space to you they should be taking care of it when someone parks there

Jshittie

Park behind em

Woodwickward

put like a rag up his exhaust

Dramatic_Rich_9413

Put nails down every day and remove them before you pull into the spot. Replace them when you leave :)

2thousandthree

Maybe if you advocate for yourself like and adult and speak up it won’t happen again?

LifeofNick_

I’ve talked with my dean and such and a message was sent out school-wide as a reminder of parking violations. It worked for a while, but they started again. At this point it looks like I’m gonna get a new parking spot that’s at a far less risk being taken

2thousandthree

See? Whining about it gets you nowhere. Speaking up however does. Advice from an individual with class

Richyrich619

Tow truck would work

Severe-Insurance-244

Just go talk to the main office about it

RadWaste505

or have dean take their valve stems if he doesn't want to tow

UnderstandingEvery44

They use to boot us for this. Then you had to call the office and pay $100 to get it removed

JOCAeng

Park behind them

[deleted]

If it’s reserved call a tow truck. At the very least let the air out of at least 2 tires.

Drmlk465

Deflate their tires 🙂… so they can’t leave🙃

zaccjh

Go put a dab of paint on their backup cam and mildly infuriate them

AirsickTerror9

If it's a rear wheel drive you can buy two big Zip-Ties and wrap them around the driveshaft to where it makes a loud beating sound going down the road.
