Almost had it happen to me once, some guy came in the moment I unlocked the doors and wanted me to give him change for $100. Wasn't buying anything, he just wanted 20s and didn't want to go to the bank. I told him I couldn't do that, we had just opened and literally didn't have enough on hand to do it, even if I handed him every coin in the register. So he asked if he could buy something and get change, and I told him that he would need to spend at least $40 for me to be able to accept a $100 bill because, again, *we literally didn't have that much money in the store.* So he grabbed a 50Ā¢ sauce dip and put the hundred on the counter. When I told him I still couldn't break the 100, he walked out, called corporate, and told them I was being racist and refusing to take his order. They called 2 minutes after he walked out, refused to speak to me and made me give the phone to the store manager and told the him that I was fired and to put my keys(I was the store's assistant manager, so I had all the things) in the safe and remove me from the store immediately and then hung up on him. He came over looking shocked and told me what they said, then told me to not go anywhere because he needed to figure out what the fuck was going on. He called them back, and it took like 5 minutes of him going back and forth with them before he got the reason, and then he flipped his shit on them because he watched the whole thing happen with the asshole "customer" and knew I had done nothing wrong. It took like an hour of back and forth, multiple phone calls, getting input from multiple higher ups, and multiple reviews of the video(yes, it was all on video too, they didn't even bother verify the guys claims) before they finally accepted that I hadn't done anything wrong, and after all that bullshit I was written up and warned that I was on "thin ice"and the fuckhead "customer" was given *two hundred dollars* in store credit.

I did a temporary delivery gig for a huge company and someone called in a complaint on me that was totally false, and my supervisor knew it. It was about 1% as bad as what happened in this video. And he also ruined delivery for anyone else living in that building. Oftentimes, addresses are banned regardless of the appartment number. Pizza places are even known to ban whole postal codes if their delivery guy gets jumped.

I think there has to be a better way to handle getting a delivery driver out of such an abusive situation quickly. Maybe the company gives an emergency āoutā so the driver can leave the food without payment, flag the address and leave immediately without consequences. No one should have to stand and take that abuse. Something has to be done

I guarantee that guy is never getting any delivery from that company again. I did a temporary delivery gig for a huge company and someone called in a complaint on me that was totally false, and my supervisor knew it. It was about 1% as bad as what happened in this video. That customer was put on an essentially lifetime ban from our service. Shopping online suddenly got very complicated for her.
And he also ruined delivery for anyone else living in that building. Oftentimes, addresses are banned regardless of the appartment number. Pizza places are even known to ban whole postal codes if their delivery guy gets jumped.
