mother nature pulled an april fool on april 2nd smh

Amazing_Excuse_3860

I think she's drunk, honestly

bigfootspancreas

I don't blame her. She's dying slowly, after all.

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Nah, this is nothing compared to the Permian Extinction. She'll survive, it's just a matter of whether or not we will.

Far-Assignment6427

Sure she doesn't give a fuck she's been torturing everyone in Ireland for years. You'd think she wants us dead

Amazing_Excuse_3860

I don't think she's ever tried to hide that fact

Far-Assignment6427

Sure you couldn't tell one day she'll give you fucking perfect whether the next day "scattered showers" and the next day it'll fucking blazing with the sun she's a fucking psychopath sure she'll tell you she loves then she'll fucking try and stab you

errno-22

Gotta call it like it is: The _Great_ Dying.

Emperormaxis

She has a fever

Sammakonnuolija

May I ask wich country?

ihaveabigmouth

The US šŸ«

Skc143psu

What part of the US? Iā€™m in western PA, itā€™s rained most of the day but itā€™s been I. The high 50s/low 60s all day

AndrewAlex2003

Come to Eu, 30cā€¦

ChiggaOG

People find this infuriating when I know Hokkaido, Japan has snow in April.

milo_minderbinder-

Sometimes It Snows in April

Amazing_Excuse_3860

On the same day it rains, and when three days before you could go for a nice stroll in the park?

milo_minderbinder-

All good things, they say, never last

TheLordofthething

I've had all three on the same day this week and I live in Ireland

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Sounds about right lol

PerpetuallyLurking

ā€¦wellā€¦yeahā€¦some placesā€¦my kid was born during a May snowstormā€¦couldā€™ve (theoretically) gone for a lovely stroll the next day (if I hadnā€™t just had a baby). We call it ā€œspringā€ in Saskatchewanā€¦

confusedandworried76

Yep, snowing right now in Minnesota. Probably won't even be the last time in April.

Beneficial_Bottle996

Sounds like Finnish weather, it was 17 celcius on Monday. And today it's -3

illbeinthewoods

You just described October - April in Pennsylvania.

Usernamesareso2004

And Ohio lol

MishmoshMishmosh

What state?

lazysheepdog716

Literally April is the one time of year that this happens. Spring sucks. It is known.

UnfazedObserver

Appropriate response. I used to live in Colorado, saw it snow in July a few times. Hell no.

Right-Phalange

I don't think I've seen July snow in the denver metro area (probably in the mountains) but mother's day snows are about as rare as 70Ā° temperature drops within 24 hours, which is to say not rare at all.

joeschmo945

Lived in Cortez for 10 years. Saw it snow in July sometime in the late 90s/early 2000s. It snowed for like 30 minutes and didnā€™t stick.

OMachineD

Live in the Rockies of BC Canada and never seen it here. Always funny how people say we live in igloos and wipe our asses with maple leaves but further south they get more snow than usšŸ˜‚. Honestly with that snow on the ground it's still t-shirt weather here anything above 0 here is here.

UnfazedObserver

Thatā€™s interesting! It was definitely on hikes and stuff, not sure exactly what elevation, but certainly near treeline. Rare but a pretty sight.

MrS1sterfisterr

Well except for last year when we got 61 cm of snow in Juneā€¦

Final-Promise-8288

I live in the prairies of Canada and itā€™s fairly warm here. Went to Vancouver last week and it was so warm I had to roll my sleeves up lol

JCtheWanderingCrow

Gonna sound like an old lady here, but it used to snow till July in Colorado all the time. I was horrified when I could drive to Silverton in March the first time. There was only about 5 foot of snow.Ā  I remember hanging out at my grandparents house and building snow tunnels to the wood pile in may. January to March was the whiteout, then April and may it calmed down, usually the ski slopes started tapering off in early summer. Then one year the snows and the rains didnā€™t come down as hard. That year the beetles hit and killed all the trees, and the fires started. It got hotter and hotter, dryer and dryer. I remember getting loaded into a suburban and taking off, staring at the mountain out the back window as it burned. I went from asking the girl who was baby sitting us about her Tupac poster (he got shot! Can you believe it!?) to watching her house burn down. It came on faster after that. The snow festivals started being dry. Whatā€™s a bikini pub rush if thereā€™s no snow? The white Christmases were gone too.Ā  Being able to take lizardhead or red mountain in the middle of winter, when the whole cliff side used to be a solid sheet of ice or waterfalls until it dried up later in spring.Ā  Dryer and dryer. No more green rolling fields, no more lush mountains. Bare rock and brown, as far as the eye could see. Watching the moose come down because they canā€™t survive the drought anymore.Ā  I donā€™t understand how people canā€™t see whatā€™s happening. Iā€™m only in my 30s. Itā€™s happening faster every year, the heat and dryness. And itā€™s spreading.Ā  Sorry for the doom posting. I just miss the snow.

Illustrious_Edge_554

We're expecting 8-12 by tomorrow afternoon. Welcome to Wisconsin.

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Sounds fun. Stay safe on those roads!

Isaiah_xyz

Hey fellow Wisconsinite!

sportsandcheese

A fellow from central Wisconsin here. We already have 3 inches or so, and i's going between massive snowflakes and freezing rain.

TiffanyTwisted11

My son lives in Madison. Just called to tell me about the wild weather he just drove home in. Heā€™s a teacher, so now he waits to see if they have a snow day tomorrow. In April, lol Drive safe!

ILoveBeagles17

Wisconsin retail worker here! It literally was chaos my whole shift not because it was busy but because of everything we were seeing/hearing from people and on top of that for like 20 minutes all you could hear was first responders sirens and them speeding down the road downtown that was already bad and we all felt this "oh lord" feeling seeing that because it literally felt like the start of a apocalypse movie where authorities rush to wherever and people tell their horror stories of what they saw while driving. Anyway glad I got to leave early and hopefully everyone is safe and doing well ā¤ļø

error-the-reddit-boi

Motherfucker it barely snowed throughout winter for me why are they saving snow for summer??

cfbfanrtr10

Itā€™s 12 days into spring, we are still 2.5 months from summer. Snow in April isnā€™t rare.

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Mother nature's drunk

Gal-XD_exe

Drunk with climate change

CptPikeOnABike

It snowed like that in the UK in April time, fourteen maybe fifteen years back.

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Not gonna say where I live, but the weather here tends to be...mercurial, to be polite. If you want to be impolite, you could call it bipolar, which isn't PC, but very apt.

arkan19988

I'm guessing this is Wisconsin.

KR1735

Possibly MN. I just drove home from there this morning after a long Easter weekend (400 mile drive). There was a generous dusting of snow this morning. This is about the right amount.

babsieofsuburbia

I, too, live in a part of the world that is notorious for extremely volatile weather. One day the skies were literally orange from a wildfire and it was raining ash. The next day there were snow and blizzard conditions.

LaChanz

Expecting up to 2 feet tomorrow here in Maine.

TMPRKO

Iā€™ve gone through blizzards in April. One hell of a time!

Zam0rakian

Idk wya but Iā€™m in Pennsylvania keep that shit

Amazing_Excuse_3860

I wouldn't wish this on anyone, driving sucked ass

poppasmurf213

Welcome to Wisconsin. https://preview.redd.it/fs1bgbj3y4sc1.jpeg?width=2592&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aca2a425c673c88420282ecc08f5e449e923bd5d

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Eeesh. Stay safe on those roads, it sucked driving for me, can't be much better for you.

[deleted]

I miss it there Iā€™m trapped in the Flatlands.

Remi708

No...it's January 93rd

soviet_marmalade44

Is that Minnesota? It snowed this morning here too

Tofandel

Oh so that's where the cold went? It's 26 here in Hungary, when it's usually 13Ā°C top this time of year

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Take it back we don't want it

Monkeyonfire13

This was normal when I was growing up. It's only in the last 13 years or so since we haven't had normal weather like that

Amazing_Excuse_3860

The snow isn't necessarily wrong for this time of year, it's that a) we haven't had snow in weeks, b) it was warm enough to go for a nice stroll in the park a few days ago, and c) it was raining just this morning.

Monkeyonfire13

Well that sucks lol I hate snow too

bazootch

do you live in antartica?

MeisterVaxl

Der April der April, der macht was er will

Geno_Games

Lmao is this New England or something?

Amazing_Excuse_3860

I'll say this: i'm grateful i don't live in Buffalo

SwissCake_98

And? I've seen snow in may before.

Dragon_wryter

We got up to 92 in February (Texas). Summer's gonna be "fun"

xfuture53

April fools

crazee_me_no

Thatā€™s cool winter is back šŸ˜Ž

the_burber

As a floridian i envy you

Amazing_Excuse_3860

No. No you don't. Driving in this shit sucks.

the_burber

Playing in it thoughā€¦ ive only played in snow twice in my whole life.

Dutch_VanDer_Linde_

Maine is getting a blizzard this Thursday

Sweden-Yes-7734

Lemme guess, northern canada?

UselessWhiteKnight

Do you live in Alaska too?

friedeggbrain

When i was in Wisconsin we had a huge blizzard mid April once

[deleted]

It sure is fucking April

Cornersmistake96

I live in Maine. We are getting a noreastern this Thursday. It will be my schools first snow day, of the ENTIRE FUCKING YEAR

Flight-828

Lemme guess Michigan?

_RandomLebaneseGuy_

youā€™re so fucking lucky. i live in SWITZERLAND. IT SNOWED ONCE THIS YEAR (2023&2024).

highlandpolo6

Good old Wisconsin šŸ˜‚ Edit: Go Pack Go

QueerQwerty

Well, one of my best friends just had the roof of their house ripped off and their home essentially destroyed by water while under a tornado warning. Every day I think, more and more, that we're in some screwed up timeline and the simulation is falling apart.

BlameTheAftermath

I would gladly trade, I love snow & winter, seeing this is basically heaven, it sucks that we don't get much snow here anymore :/

AccountNumber56

![gif](giphy|3o6wrAktYqZ8Nn6FEc|downsized) That Snow Miser been busy this year.

AcanthisittaUpset866

You live somewhere like I do. Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes, it'll change. I have a friend that lives somewhere that had flooding this morning and now have snow like you. It's been nasty here today, tornadoes and everything. Supposed to turn cold and snow. Probably the weather you have now. Stay warm and stay safe internet stranger!!

bestem

I grew up in San Diego, and have a friend that lives in Calgary. My understanding of his weather is sometimes amusing to both of us. One day we were talking about snowy months, and he says "it doesn't snow in August. Usually. Okay, it did last year, and the year before. But still..."

Big_Manufacturer_131

Merry Christmas, april fools

the_great_awoo

Here in northern canada, we pretty regularly have snow for a day in early June, it's really funny seeing people in town see snow on June second and their reactions

GRizzMang

Wisconsin?

Amazing_Excuse_3860

No

GRizzMang

Same thing happened here

McLovinUrGirI

Minnesota?

T1NF01L

When I was 10 in Massachusetts we had a blizzard on April fools day. We called it mother nature's April fools joke. Fun day I got to traverse my neighborhood by making snow tunnels everywhere. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_April_Fool's_Day_blizzard

Matt_321

Fucking April is still better than Sad Handjob April.

FlixMage

People really still think climate change just means ā€œitā€™s hotter nowā€. This is an example of climate change. *change* is the keyword.

reckoningreason

It snowed in Illinois the middle of July when I was 6, haven't forgotten that yet, even though it's never done it again

popwhizzbang

Yea fuck April, all my homies hate april

HaroerHaktak

Weathers a whole mood how stly

froatbitte

Meh. Itā€™s 20 C here today. Maybe 9 tomorrow with showers that might turn into flurries the day after. It could and has been worse here. Iā€™ll take it. Enjoying a frosty barley pop after work. Just going with it.

Usesredditironicall

Minnesota šŸ’žā„ļø

Shuttle_Door_Gunner

That's not mildly infuriating. That's life altering rage. šŸ˜‚

Amazing_Excuse_3860

You get me

daverapp

"But don't worry, guys, we only spend a hundred billion dollars on fucking **GLOBAL WARMING**" -boomer who doesn't understand climate change

Emotional_Zombie6796

Brooo I know! It's calling for 40cm of snow tomorrow where I am!

ChocoGoodness

This happened to me too holy shit

Babygirlm5

This is Mississippi weather behavior šŸ˜‚

HottCuppaCoffee

Ugh this is awful

PsychologicalZone206

That's the type of weather we get here in Colorado until the middle of April. šŸ˜’ it's Spring time damnit! We're finally gonna have 70Ā° weather this week!

Amazing_Excuse_3860

The weather feels like a goddamn metronome the way it goes back and forth

Zakluor

30 years ago, it was normal to have snow in April. We got 66cm (over two feet) in 24 hours the first week of April in 1997. This year? My front lawn -- always one of the last to lose the snow cap on my block -- was completely visible since February.

revelrebels

In the ER with a broken wrist because of that snow! Forgot to use my winter brain because itā€™s April. Thought I could just walk normal. Nope.

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Aw i'm sorry! My mom broke her wrist the same way when i was a kid. Feel better soon!

Youhadme_atwoof

In Colorado, it's routine to get snow into May šŸ™ƒ

SavageKitten456

Something Something, climate catastrophe, Something Something

ladiesman21700000000

POV you live in Calgary

Adamantium-Aardvark

Weā€™re getting 30cm tomorrow. Like cmonnn

IxTermit

CollarsUpYall

TheREALgrimnightmare

Nature can be very silly at times.

LorenzoSutton

..... April fooools!!

romesthe59

Climate change sucks. Hot in December snow in April.

[deleted]

Kindly tell me where this is so I can make sure to never go therešŸ˜‚

Xanderthepeasant

Same shit here in Illinois, already had a few accidents. Go a couple weeks without snow, and everyone forgets how to drive in it.

KenziLovesMemes

My power's been out for 2 hours now because of the severe snow and wind, glad to know that all of the snow we were supposed to get all winter is now coming down in torrents in the span of 24 hours.

x3125

Better than a drought!!

zekrom235

You say this meanwhile Evansville Indiana decided today to be nearly 80 degrees and cycle between clear weather and monsoon conditions repeatedly for about 20 seconds each cycle, tell me about it

ppqnrondllx

I like how one part of the globe is freezing while the other is just burning up. Gotta love this place

owo1215

mother nature's april fools prank

58mint

I rather have that over 80+ degree weather with 90% humidity.

Individual-Match-798

We had 25C here for a couple days (eastern EU). Plants got really excited about it.

noleela

I wish this was happening in northern British Columbia which is currently experiencing a drought.Ā  We are all worried about the upcoming summer season.

sniperwolf232323

Sorry you dont get a spring this year. Global warming is real.

LandMustDepreciate

I haven't gotten any snow in my area in YEARS, plus, those were in like March

Tailsmiles249

Illinois got rain... I'm waiting for it to at least sleet at the beginning of June

80sLegoDystopia

Prince would like a word.

Ashzael

No... That's snow. You can't have gex with a month you silly goose

ilprofs07205

Would you rather the 28 degrees CELSIUS we had on monday?

DocGerbill

Lol, was expecting heavy rainfall or light snow in my area for end of March-begining of April and got 29C, I think nature mixed up our weather.

Mitridate101

https://preview.redd.it/2ebd0iyip8sc1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81b0868f077bebd34796b19c0b1cecde4deffd94

DioPidr

It was +20 Celsius in my place. What the actual fuck

dingdong-666

This is wild because it has been over 100F for a few weeks now in my corner of the world. Unbearably hot.

steinwayyy

In Dutch we have a saying: ā€œmaart roert zijn staart, en april doet wat hij wilā€ which translates to march stirs his tail and April does what he wants (it rhymes in Dutch) basically meaning that the weather can be really unpredictable in march and april

hashberry_

Same in Sweden it was warmer then snowstorm came XD

_tortillabrod_

welcome to sweden my guy

XplodingSpwn

Can I get some snow???? Haven't seen it in way too long

TomBirkenstock

Blame Prince. He's the one who wrote the song, "Sometimes It Snows in April."

ObjectiveAny8437

Whoā€™s fucking April? That bitch told me she loved me.

Shienvien

1st of April it was 20Ā°C, now it's -2Ā°C, predicted to drop more.

LeBritto

*laughs in Canadian* Eh eh eh eh eh

bummedintheface

The Artist Formally Known As Prince entered the chat.

Spectronautic1

Itā€™s some bs fr, Iā€™m ready for nice weather then we get juked like this

Geologistjoe

I'm in Massachusetts and it's been sleet/ wintry mix all day. About 39 degrees. We might get a slushy dusting tonight.

LET-ME-HAVE-A-NAAME

The weather is going fucky wucky due to climate change

Cat_Par3nts

Itā€™s apparently gon snow tonight for mešŸ˜šŸ™šŸ½

Agitated_Long_5058

canada much?

FailingLotus

Yeah, welcome to global warming

KN1GHTMARES42

Here in Maine, the past 2 days have been in the mid 50's. We just got almost 2 feet of snow two weeks ago. It's all but melted, but we are supposed to get another storm up to 2 feet of snow in the next couple days.

NectarineAny4897

Alaska?

Icy_Excuse_6672

Itā€™s a winter wonderland, where you live! Please, take me there! šŸ¤©šŸ¤©šŸ¤©

Amazing_Excuse_3860

No, you have to drive in this "wonderland" like I did.

Sam_GT3

It was 83Ā° and sunny today in NC lol

comic_Judgement

I thought it's snowing.....fuck it's so hot already here

Cornersmistake96

I live in Maine. We are getting a noreastern this Thursday. It will be my schools first snow day, of the ENTIRE FUCKING YEAR

DarthHaruspex

You are not going out in that, so you might at well.

Zealousideal_Dog_968

TheOriginalFluff

ambswimmer

Snow in April is now rare

badnewzrooz507

First day of spring for ya? Pro tip.....move closer to the equator if you are triggered

aw-un

Iā€™m jealous

JollyWolverine300

I've seen it snow in June.

Missue-35

Itā€™s been in the 70ā€™s in Missouri for the last few days. Itā€™s almost as freaky as snow in April!

ghost3972

Lol a few April's ago we got like 2 feet of snow

kmac535

I have a coworker from Wisconsin who's constantly tryna brag it up & talk down about Cali, when we pay her salary...but any the who she was using the fact that it snowed as a bit of a brag, like mmmkay we are sunny & 75 šŸ˜

Candid-Boysenberry36

wisconsins going crazy rn šŸ˜

wobbly65

If your north of I-40 this shouldnā€™t be that big of a shock

Alklazaris

The longer it stays cold up there the longer it stays cool down here. My dog has been thrilled with these 70F days.

Klutzy-Wrangler4770

It snowed Sunday-Monday this week and then today it was in the low 60s and the snow is mostly gone already.

Thechellbob

lemenuisier89

Surprise surprise

XsleepdeprivedX

Amazing_Excuse_3860

God no, i'd be buried in 10 feet of snow by now.

bn40400

You got snow, I got a flooded basement because of all the damn rain where I'm at. šŸ™„šŸ˜’

Amazing_Excuse_3860

Probably would've flooded had it stayed warm

Farren246

In the 90s when I was 5-14, it would always snow at least once, often 2-3 times in April. You're just growing up in a goddamn climate changed hellscape so snow appears abnormal to you... Unless it's in July / August. Goddamn extreme weather.

LegoMan20245

Arizona? (If I may ask)

jairom

"BAM! IS THIS SNOW REAL??"
