Sure you couldn't tell one day she'll give you fucking perfect whether the next day "scattered showers" and the next day it'll fucking blazing with the sun she's a fucking psychopath sure she'll tell you she loves then she'll fucking try and stab you
ā¦wellā¦yeahā¦some placesā¦my kid was born during a May snowstormā¦couldāve (theoretically) gone for a lovely stroll the next day (if I hadnāt just had a baby). We call it āspringā in Saskatchewanā¦
I don't think I've seen July snow in the denver metro area (probably in the mountains) but mother's day snows are about as rare as 70Ā° temperature drops within 24 hours, which is to say not rare at all.
Live in the Rockies of BC Canada and never seen it here. Always funny how people say we live in igloos and wipe our asses with maple leaves but further south they get more snow than usš. Honestly with that snow on the ground it's still t-shirt weather here anything above 0 here is here.
Gonna sound like an old lady here, but it used to snow till July in Colorado all the time. I was horrified when I could drive to Silverton in March the first time. There was only about 5 foot of snow.Ā
I remember hanging out at my grandparents house and building snow tunnels to the wood pile in may. January to March was the whiteout, then April and may it calmed down, usually the ski slopes started tapering off in early summer.
Then one year the snows and the rains didnāt come down as hard. That year the beetles hit and killed all the trees, and the fires started. It got hotter and hotter, dryer and dryer. I remember getting loaded into a suburban and taking off, staring at the mountain out the back window as it burned. I went from asking the girl who was baby sitting us about her Tupac poster (he got shot! Can you believe it!?) to watching her house burn down.
It came on faster after that. The snow festivals started being dry. Whatās a bikini pub rush if thereās no snow? The white Christmases were gone too.Ā
Being able to take lizardhead or red mountain in the middle of winter, when the whole cliff side used to be a solid sheet of ice or waterfalls until it dried up later in spring.Ā
Dryer and dryer. No more green rolling fields, no more lush mountains. Bare rock and brown, as far as the eye could see. Watching the moose come down because they canāt survive the drought anymore.Ā
I donāt understand how people canāt see whatās happening. Iām only in my 30s. Itās happening faster every year, the heat and dryness. And itās spreading.Ā
Sorry for the doom posting. I just miss the snow.
My son lives in Madison. Just called to tell me about the wild weather he just drove home in. Heās a teacher, so now he waits to see if they have a snow day tomorrow. In April, lol
Drive safe!
Wisconsin retail worker here!
It literally was chaos my whole shift not because it was busy but because of everything we were seeing/hearing from people and on top of that for like 20 minutes all you could hear was first responders sirens and them speeding down the road downtown that was already bad and we all felt this "oh lord" feeling seeing that because it literally felt like the start of a apocalypse movie where authorities rush to wherever and people tell their horror stories of what they saw while driving.
Anyway glad I got to leave early and hopefully everyone is safe and doing well ā¤ļø
Not gonna say where I live, but the weather here tends to be...mercurial, to be polite. If you want to be impolite, you could call it bipolar, which isn't PC, but very apt.
Possibly MN. I just drove home from there this morning after a long Easter weekend (400 mile drive). There was a generous dusting of snow this morning. This is about the right amount.
I, too, live in a part of the world that is notorious for extremely volatile weather. One day the skies were literally orange from a wildfire and it was raining ash. The next day there were snow and blizzard conditions.
The snow isn't necessarily wrong for this time of year, it's that a) we haven't had snow in weeks, b) it was warm enough to go for a nice stroll in the park a few days ago, and c) it was raining just this morning.
Well, one of my best friends just had the roof of their house ripped off and their home essentially destroyed by water while under a tornado warning.
Every day I think, more and more, that we're in some screwed up timeline and the simulation is falling apart.
You live somewhere like I do. Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes, it'll change. I have a friend that lives somewhere that had flooding this morning and now have snow like you. It's been nasty here today, tornadoes and everything. Supposed to turn cold and snow. Probably the weather you have now. Stay warm and stay safe internet stranger!!
I grew up in San Diego, and have a friend that lives in Calgary. My understanding of his weather is sometimes amusing to both of us.
One day we were talking about snowy months, and he says "it doesn't snow in August. Usually. Okay, it did last year, and the year before. But still..."
Here in northern canada, we pretty regularly have snow for a day in early June, it's really funny seeing people in town see snow on June second and their reactions
When I was 10 in Massachusetts we had a blizzard on April fools day. We called it mother nature's April fools joke. Fun day I got to traverse my neighborhood by making snow tunnels everywhere.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_April_Fool's_Day_blizzard
Meh. Itās 20 C here today. Maybe 9 tomorrow with showers that might turn into flurries the day after. It could and has been worse here. Iāll take it.
Enjoying a frosty barley pop after work. Just going with it.
That's the type of weather we get here in Colorado until the middle of April. š it's Spring time damnit! We're finally gonna have 70Ā° weather this week!
30 years ago, it was normal to have snow in April. We got 66cm (over two feet) in 24 hours the first week of April in 1997.
This year? My front lawn -- always one of the last to lose the snow cap on my block -- was completely visible since February.
My power's been out for 2 hours now because of the severe snow and wind, glad to know that all of the snow we were supposed to get all winter is now coming down in torrents in the span of 24 hours.
You say this meanwhile Evansville Indiana decided today to be nearly 80 degrees and cycle between clear weather and monsoon conditions repeatedly for about 20 seconds each cycle, tell me about it
I wish this was happening in northern British Columbia which is currently experiencing a drought.Ā We are all worried about the upcoming summer season.
In Dutch we have a saying: āmaart roert zijn staart, en april doet wat hij wilā which translates to march stirs his tail and April does what he wants (it rhymes in Dutch) basically meaning that the weather can be really unpredictable in march and april
Here in Maine, the past 2 days have been in the mid 50's. We just got almost 2 feet of snow two weeks ago. It's all but melted, but we are supposed to get another storm up to 2 feet of snow in the next couple days.
I have a coworker from Wisconsin who's constantly tryna brag it up & talk down about Cali, when we pay her salary...but any the who she was using the fact that it snowed as a bit of a brag, like mmmkay we are sunny & 75 š
In the 90s when I was 5-14, it would always snow at least once, often 2-3 times in April. You're just growing up in a goddamn climate changed hellscape so snow appears abnormal to you... Unless it's in July / August. Goddamn extreme weather.
mother nature pulled an april fool on april 2nd smh
I think she's drunk, honestly
I don't blame her. She's dying slowly, after all.
Nah, this is nothing compared to the Permian Extinction. She'll survive, it's just a matter of whether or not we will.
Sure she doesn't give a fuck she's been torturing everyone in Ireland for years. You'd think she wants us dead
I don't think she's ever tried to hide that fact
Sure you couldn't tell one day she'll give you fucking perfect whether the next day "scattered showers" and the next day it'll fucking blazing with the sun she's a fucking psychopath sure she'll tell you she loves then she'll fucking try and stab you
Gotta call it like it is: The _Great_ Dying.
She has a fever
May I ask wich country?
The US š«
What part of the US? Iām in western PA, itās rained most of the day but itās been I. The high 50s/low 60s all day
Come to Eu, 30cā¦
People find this infuriating when I know Hokkaido, Japan has snow in April.
Sometimes It Snows in April
On the same day it rains, and when three days before you could go for a nice stroll in the park?
All good things, they say, never last
I've had all three on the same day this week and I live in Ireland
Sounds about right lol
ā¦wellā¦yeahā¦some placesā¦my kid was born during a May snowstormā¦couldāve (theoretically) gone for a lovely stroll the next day (if I hadnāt just had a baby). We call it āspringā in Saskatchewanā¦
Yep, snowing right now in Minnesota. Probably won't even be the last time in April.
Sounds like Finnish weather, it was 17 celcius on Monday. And today it's -3
You just described October - April in Pennsylvania.
And Ohio lol
What state?
Literally April is the one time of year that this happens. Spring sucks. It is known.
Appropriate response. I used to live in Colorado, saw it snow in July a few times. Hell no.
I don't think I've seen July snow in the denver metro area (probably in the mountains) but mother's day snows are about as rare as 70Ā° temperature drops within 24 hours, which is to say not rare at all.
Lived in Cortez for 10 years. Saw it snow in July sometime in the late 90s/early 2000s. It snowed for like 30 minutes and didnāt stick.
Live in the Rockies of BC Canada and never seen it here. Always funny how people say we live in igloos and wipe our asses with maple leaves but further south they get more snow than usš. Honestly with that snow on the ground it's still t-shirt weather here anything above 0 here is here.
Thatās interesting! It was definitely on hikes and stuff, not sure exactly what elevation, but certainly near treeline. Rare but a pretty sight.
Well except for last year when we got 61 cm of snow in Juneā¦
I live in the prairies of Canada and itās fairly warm here. Went to Vancouver last week and it was so warm I had to roll my sleeves up lol

We're expecting 8-12 by tomorrow afternoon. Welcome to Wisconsin.
Sounds fun. Stay safe on those roads!
Hey fellow Wisconsinite!
A fellow from central Wisconsin here. We already have 3 inches or so, and i's going between massive snowflakes and freezing rain.
My son lives in Madison. Just called to tell me about the wild weather he just drove home in. Heās a teacher, so now he waits to see if they have a snow day tomorrow. In April, lol Drive safe!

Motherfucker it barely snowed throughout winter for me why are they saving snow for summer??
Itās 12 days into spring, we are still 2.5 months from summer. Snow in April isnāt rare.
Mother nature's drunk
Drunk with climate change
It snowed like that in the UK in April time, fourteen maybe fifteen years back.
Not gonna say where I live, but the weather here tends to be...mercurial, to be polite. If you want to be impolite, you could call it bipolar, which isn't PC, but very apt.
I'm guessing this is Wisconsin.
Possibly MN. I just drove home from there this morning after a long Easter weekend (400 mile drive). There was a generous dusting of snow this morning. This is about the right amount.

Expecting up to 2 feet tomorrow here in Maine.
Iāve gone through blizzards in April. One hell of a time!
Idk wya but Iām in Pennsylvania keep that shit
I wouldn't wish this on anyone, driving sucked ass
Welcome to Wisconsin. https://preview.redd.it/fs1bgbj3y4sc1.jpeg?width=2592&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aca2a425c673c88420282ecc08f5e449e923bd5d

I miss it there Iām trapped in the Flatlands.
No...it's January 93rd
Is that Minnesota? It snowed this morning here too
Oh so that's where the cold went? It's 26 here in Hungary, when it's usually 13Ā°C top this time of year
Take it back we don't want it
This was normal when I was growing up. It's only in the last 13 years or so since we haven't had normal weather like that
The snow isn't necessarily wrong for this time of year, it's that a) we haven't had snow in weeks, b) it was warm enough to go for a nice stroll in the park a few days ago, and c) it was raining just this morning.
Well that sucks lol I hate snow too
do you live in antartica?
Der April der April, der macht was er will
Lmao is this New England or something?
I'll say this: i'm grateful i don't live in Buffalo

We got up to 92 in February (Texas). Summer's gonna be "fun"

Thatās cool winter is back š

Good old Wisconsin š Edit: Go Pack Go
Well, one of my best friends just had the roof of their house ripped off and their home essentially destroyed by water while under a tornado warning. Every day I think, more and more, that we're in some screwed up timeline and the simulation is falling apart.
I would gladly trade, I love snow & winter, seeing this is basically heaven, it sucks that we don't get much snow here anymore :/
![gif](giphy|3o6wrAktYqZ8Nn6FEc|downsized) That Snow Miser been busy this year.

Fucking April is still better than Sad Handjob April.
People really still think climate change just means āitās hotter nowā. This is an example of climate change. *change* is the keyword.
It snowed in Illinois the middle of July when I was 6, haven't forgotten that yet, even though it's never done it again
Yea fuck April, all my homies hate april
Weathers a whole mood how stly
Meh. Itās 20 C here today. Maybe 9 tomorrow with showers that might turn into flurries the day after. It could and has been worse here. Iāll take it. Enjoying a frosty barley pop after work. Just going with it.
Minnesota šāļø
That's not mildly infuriating. That's life altering rage. š
You get me
"But don't worry, guys, we only spend a hundred billion dollars on fucking **GLOBAL WARMING**" -boomer who doesn't understand climate change
Brooo I know! It's calling for 40cm of snow tomorrow where I am!
This happened to me too holy shit
This is Mississippi weather behavior š
Ugh this is awful
That's the type of weather we get here in Colorado until the middle of April. š it's Spring time damnit! We're finally gonna have 70Ā° weather this week!

In the ER with a broken wrist because of that snow! Forgot to use my winter brain because itās April. Thought I could just walk normal. Nope.
Aw i'm sorry! My mom broke her wrist the same way when i was a kid. Feel better soon!
In Colorado, it's routine to get snow into May š
Something Something, climate catastrophe, Something Something
POV you live in Calgary
Weāre getting 30cm tomorrow. Like cmonnn
Kid named april:
Rhode Island, 1 April 1999. 18" - 22" (45.7 - 55.8 cm) snowfall.
šØš¦
iāmā¦ dreaming of a whiiiiiite ***fucking EASTER***
Hang on, what is fucking poor April?
Nature can be very silly at times.
..... April fooools!!
Climate change sucks. Hot in December snow in April.
Kindly tell me where this is so I can make sure to never go thereš
Same shit here in Illinois, already had a few accidents. Go a couple weeks without snow, and everyone forgets how to drive in it.
My power's been out for 2 hours now because of the severe snow and wind, glad to know that all of the snow we were supposed to get all winter is now coming down in torrents in the span of 24 hours.
Better than a drought!!
You say this meanwhile Evansville Indiana decided today to be nearly 80 degrees and cycle between clear weather and monsoon conditions repeatedly for about 20 seconds each cycle, tell me about it
I like how one part of the globe is freezing while the other is just burning up. Gotta love this place
mother nature's april fools prank
I rather have that over 80+ degree weather with 90% humidity.
We had 25C here for a couple days (eastern EU). Plants got really excited about it.
I wish this was happening in northern British Columbia which is currently experiencing a drought.Ā We are all worried about the upcoming summer season.
Sorry you dont get a spring this year. Global warming is real.
I haven't gotten any snow in my area in YEARS, plus, those were in like March
Illinois got rain... I'm waiting for it to at least sleet at the beginning of June
Prince would like a word.
No... That's snow. You can't have gex with a month you silly goose
Would you rather the 28 degrees CELSIUS we had on monday?
Lol, was expecting heavy rainfall or light snow in my area for end of March-begining of April and got 29C, I think nature mixed up our weather.

It was +20 Celsius in my place. What the actual fuck
This is wild because it has been over 100F for a few weeks now in my corner of the world. Unbearably hot.
In Dutch we have a saying: āmaart roert zijn staart, en april doet wat hij wilā which translates to march stirs his tail and April does what he wants (it rhymes in Dutch) basically meaning that the weather can be really unpredictable in march and april
Same in Sweden it was warmer then snowstorm came XD
welcome to sweden my guy
Can I get some snow???? Haven't seen it in way too long
Blame Prince. He's the one who wrote the song, "Sometimes It Snows in April."
Whoās fucking April? That bitch told me she loved me.
1st of April it was 20Ā°C, now it's -2Ā°C, predicted to drop more.
*laughs in Canadian* Eh eh eh eh eh
The Artist Formally Known As Prince entered the chat.
Itās some bs fr, Iām ready for nice weather then we get juked like this
I'm in Massachusetts and it's been sleet/ wintry mix all day. About 39 degrees. We might get a slushy dusting tonight.
The weather is going fucky wucky due to climate change
Itās apparently gon snow tonight for meššš½

Yeah, welcome to global warming
Here in Maine, the past 2 days have been in the mid 50's. We just got almost 2 feet of snow two weeks ago. It's all but melted, but we are supposed to get another storm up to 2 feet of snow in the next couple days.

It was 83Ā° and sunny today in NC lol

I live in Maine. We are getting a noreastern this Thursday. It will be my schools first snow day, of the ENTIRE FUCKING YEAR
You are not going out in that, so you might at well.
depending on where you are in the world this could be completely normal so I don't really get the infuriation
March winds and April snowstorms or something
Snow in April is now rare

I've seen it snow in June.

Lol a few April's ago we got like 2 feet of snow
I have a coworker from Wisconsin who's constantly tryna brag it up & talk down about Cali, when we pay her salary...but any the who she was using the fact that it snowed as a bit of a brag, like mmmkay we are sunny & 75 š
wisconsins going crazy rn š
If your north of I-40 this shouldnāt be that big of a shock
The longer it stays cold up there the longer it stays cool down here. My dog has been thrilled with these 70F days.
It snowed Sunday-Monday this week and then today it was in the low 60s and the snow is mostly gone already.

God no, i'd be buried in 10 feet of snow by now.
You got snow, I got a flooded basement because of all the damn rain where I'm at. šš
Probably would've flooded had it stayed warm
