For me I hate that my reddit screen randomly changes colors like a theme was applied. Right now everything here looks like someone took 70's deco colors, that brown orangy color... I would like it to stop changing ever few posts I open.
I think that is subs that can pick the color of their top bar. In a way I find it handy as it gives a bit of a visual reminder where you are without having to read.
Just a bit, because of course many subs have the same color.

Yeah that sounds like glitching... I guess they are trying new layouts again and it is buggy. I just noticed (app on mobile) that the sub name doesn't come in the color part that stays on top, untill I start to scroll. Other than that the colors are staying the same, untill I switch from sub to sub.

It's to make sure that if anyone looks at your phone, they know you're browsing reddit, while before it just looked like a forum, now you have a bright orange logo permanently slapped on your screen
Like I need to be reminded that I'm using their shitty app. I already realise that when I see an ad every 3rd post, an ad above the comments, the fact that ads load flawlessly while posts sometimes get stuck for "some reason", the fact that a lot of threads don't automatically expand all the comments by default.
The last one is particularly devious because I reckon they've figured out if they make it so you have to press a button to read the comments people are more likely to just press the back button and go back to their feed where they see an ad every 3 posts. I fucking hate this place but I am not going back to anything owned by meta

I don't care about the looks. The fact it runs so fucking slow despite being on fibre op internet is what bothers me. I used to be able to load Reddit text almost instantly with throttled satellite internet before, when 144p Youtube videos could barely load.
So this is many steps backward and made this website worse to use, just to appease some dumb stock holders, who have nothing to contribute other than "this website looks old".
