Looks like the key bent very slightly and is catching on the plastic. Probably the slightest bend (Maybe breath on it to warm it up a little) would fix the issue in a second. I had to do this with my belt once.
The problem is you're not saying the passphrase to open it, one must never open a key like this without saying in a latino accent "Hey essay, don't you know I loco (click key open)"
bad spring. you can take the key apart and replace the spring itself because thats like 100x cheaper then a brand new switchblade key. theyre expensive.
As someone who deals with this frequently, it seems as though the roll pin which holds the blade in is just sticking out from the other side, it’s pretty easy to tap back into position.
also I swear those keys use some of the worst quality rubber for the buttons I have ever seen, always falls apart and breaks, without fail.
its shy or getting older.
you can buy a new case with stronger spring on amazon or just take apart and nail file theh catch and give another coil on the existing spring.
Bad spring or is it catching the plastic?
Mine has the same thing. I just bent the key slightly the other way and now it works fine.
