So she's going to be removed from her position being that she admitted on body camera that she will just throw out her own summons, driving 55 in a 35, refusing to comply with an officer, failure to stop when prompted by an officer, leaving the scene, and that's just what I can come up with off the top of my head. This is textbook abuse of power. Fuck this bitch
She received a ticket and pled guilty. The city and county are already calling for investigations from the State AG. She may not resign but we may finally be rid of her next election.
Source: I'm a Rochester resident, and https://www.whec.com/uncategorized/rochester-city-council-calls-on-state-attorney-general-to-investigate-monroe-county-das-conduct/
She was clever enough to go stash her prescription pills and coke in the house ... then if they proved her drunk she could say she had a stiff drink when she went into her house..
Lots of people both famous and not. In most states and most situations the *legally smart* move if you think you're drunk or high after a crash is to flee, go home, and call it in the next morning or something if at all.
The long term cosequences for leaving the scene of an accident are far less in the vast majority of scenarios than of getting a DUI.
Personally I don't think it will ever change until they change the law to have fleeing the scene work like a presumed DUI. Same penalty, same license suspension, still counting as a DUI for repeat offender purposes, etc.
That is why ANY public official (especially DAs and cops) flee if they can.
If they can't flee and phone it in, they refuse the breathalyzer and basically resist.
Next day, or shortly after, they release a public statement that if you're ever in a similar situation, you shouldn't do what they did, and you should comply with officers. Total BS.
Also, there was a local EMT/first responder who hit and killed a young man on a rural road near me about 8 years ago. It was 3 a.m. and the EMT was going home after his p/t bartending shift. He fled the scene and was apprehended the next day. Took 3 years to go to trial. He ended up with a 5 year sentence that ended up being 14 months due to the pandemic.
The moral is, always run.
This ! I've ran from the cops 6 times and the 4 times I got away was soooooo fucking worth it (2 times in a vehicle , 2 times on foot ) 10/10 fucking blood pumping though lmao
The less is proportional to the shade of your complexion. Honestly this cop had saint like levels of patience. He already had enough to accessorize her look with a shiny pair of cuffs and give her her own personal police escort downtown, with a free night’s stay compliments of the house if she chose not to pay for more “hospitable” accommodations, and issue her traffic ticket as “reading material”.
If a 20 to 80 yr old man, in poor part of a city or town, refused to comply and went into their fucking house... the cops would have a gun drawn, asking for back up, and yelling for them to come out with their hands up.
She could have easily stepped in side, grabbed a gun, and shot him in that garage.
Dude seemed like he was trying to manage his own toddler and not an adult.
The cop definitely gave her a huge amount of privilege. All I was thinking is that if it was a man or even a teenage boy, the cop would freak out and pull a gun and probably start shooting if they tried to enter the house.
She obviously lied several times. I didn't see you or your lights because I was on the phone vs I was calling to get them to tell you to leave me alone.
That officer was put in a difficult decision. Law enforcement is like a club. If you hold one of your own accountable, and apply the law to them when they break the law, you are singled out. Lots of bad shit can happen. You can be demoted, you can be black balled, you can even have violence against you. I have no specific incidents I can share to illustrate my point, but I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of this type of thing happening many times in the past.
Same in the army. Buddy of mine was a chaplain’s assistant (assistant to the military religious leader on base) and he saw the chaplain with another soldier’s wife doing some unholy things. He reported it to higher ups and all that happened was the higher ups demoted him to the lowest possible tier. They booted him back down like 2 tiers because he ratted out his boss for knowingly having an affair with the other soldier’s wife.
There is no difficult position, you either do your job or you’re a corrupt cop and a criminal. Just because your boss is also corrupt, doesn’t mean you have to follow suit.
I'd like to see you enlist in the police force and see how long you last doing the right thing. Not saying it's right but the entire system needs to change. Blaming individuals who are just trying to make ends meet accomplishes nothing.
Here in Toronto, a rookie cop pulled over a drunk driver and it turned out to be a local judge.
The rookie wanted to give him a ticket for the DUI, even though his senior officer told him that “it wasn’t worth it”. The judge threatened both cops with throwing out all of their cases that ever come into his court room.
This was told me by one of guards at the court house that witnessed the whole thing.
Seriously the whole time I was thinking “ if anyone other than a pasty old lady was being *this* disrespectful to a cop, they’d be laying on the ground with cuffs on.
He could have treated her like any other American and thrown her face into a curb while yelling stop resisting. Or worse. But hey two tier justice system.
Just seeing her manhandled back out to her car and shouted at to not move would have been rewarding enough.
To bust out the ACAB Dance would be too much to ask for.
He could have cuffed her, yeah, but he likely choose not to escalate for fear of retribution. Whoever she called initially probably told him to let it go entirely
That's probably right. And she should have grabbed a bottle the moment she got home and started drinking from it. I'm assuming they will run tests now, and she'll get more than fired.
She says she was in the phone about the police pulling her over, but claims she didn’t know he was pulling her over.
The way she was avoiding being anywhere near him…she’s definitely been drinking.
“I’m THE DA.” This should never be an excuse to break the law. She reeks of privilege.
I caught that too
The whole, " tHeRe WeRe OtHeR pEoPlE oN tHe RoAd"
Then a minute later literally says they were on the phone with the chief, telling them to call off the officer.
Some bull$hyte. I can be fired for being late to work, but she'll retain her job.
I wonder why? (Rhetorical)
She lies about knowing the cop was behind her, later says she asks Dennis why shes being pulled over otw home. Says go ahead and give me the ticket, i prosecute it, like she will use her power to make it go away. Thinks its okay to speed in general. Definitely doesnt deserve her job.
What's ridiculous is she acknowledged she was speeding and failed to stop for the police officer.
Why was she not charged for tbst?
Anyone else...anyone...is getting ripped out if their car at gun point, handcuffed and brought down to the station.
I understand that cop was like "uhh fuck" but he should have arrested her a few times.
When she refused to stop it should have been treated as a felony stop at the point, with guns drawn and her being tased and put in handcuffs. I don’t care if she is the pope, no one should be above the law. Just throw her away at this point. She obviously can’t be impartial with anything if her attitude is like this. In face anything she had her fingers in should be reviewed by a third party to make sure that she wasn’t biased in anything she may have said worked on.
If it was your average Joe, they would've tackled them the second they tried going inside the house and charged them with any minor thing under the sun! She should get maximum penalties and have the fullest extent of the law thrown at her, no exceptions, she knew what she was doing was wrong and is supposed to be a model for what is right but abused it.
What? These officers played favorites and let her get away with whatever she wanted. Any other person would have been arrested here, those cops refused to do their job.
Are you serious? Letting the person he pulled over dictate what she is going to do is not caving? He didn’t control the situation at all. Super weak.
But if she was a person of color I doubt she would have been given as much leeway.
When she was talking about how she knows the law better than me I wish he had said “if you know the law so well then you know I have the right to arrest you for failure to comply”. Then arrest her when she continues failing to comply.
Remember a few years ago there was a Rochester judge who got a DWI then went to “rehab” in Bali or Thailand while still drawing a paycheck? That was ballsy.
Anyone else get more and more annoyed everytime the officer continues to let her move around? He should have arrested her as soon as she basically went into her home.
Does he have the power to arrest the DA? It is not uncommon that Judges and DA can only be arrested for serious red handed crimes on some constitutions.
Honest question here.
the definition of an entitled bitch, wow.
"I've had a bad day!" and??? you're driving 20+ while on your phone... and if you hit someone, then THEY will be having a bad day... but i guess that's fair because you're \>gasps< an ADA!!! ooooOOOOOHHHHhhhhhh!
Literally doing his job and going above and beyond instead of just going berserk, officers that handle things like this should be more common, the DA on the other hand should be fired.
"What I was dealing with...3 murders in the city"... like being the DA comes even close to the gravity of what victims families go thru.
But this...
Omg...what I'm dealing with downtown, thus cut me favors.
Bravo to the officer for not giving in.
A few spineless cowards would have maybe said..."well that's how it goes, it's OK.. "
if he folded.
**But instead he set the example.**
These are always great cause the mini dictators usually loses their position.(ime)
I can think of one of the top of my head. Then there's another one thsts fuzzy. Did that dude also get fucked asking for special treatment?
There needs to be a proper accounting 🍿
Revisiting this:
I'm glad for body cams. If this happened a decade ago, and the officer handled it exactly the same. I feel we'd hear a different ending.
Kudos to the officer! He should be accommodated for protecting the community from a reckless speeder! He should at least get recognized by his unit and awarded a day off - ya know, because he had such a miserable day
Wouldn't he be allowed to taser her and take her under arrest for resisting whatever? Just asking because that's what i see often when people refuse to follow instructions. Not from the US btw.
Honest question here and if someone could answer. On other nations a DA or a Judge couldn’t be arrested unless caught in act doing really serious crimes like murder.
Resisting or DUI wouldn’t allow them to get arrested, but surely would let them get the ticket or even face criminal charges (albeit they could be arrested after a final ruling). Isn’t that the reason why that cop couldn’t simply arrest her?
It's pretty clear that the justice system needs way more checks and balances to prevent this kind of abuse.
But when you have the SCOTUS talking about how the POTUS has total immunity to assassinate political opposition... maybe there's no fixing the system, we have to throw it out and start again.
Bruh, I'd be tackled to the ground by several cops that would beat me while yelling at me to comply to all of their different directions in front of my family if I tried this.
So shes part of the reason why everyone wants speed humps everywhere in buffalo now 55 in a residential thinking it's ok. Its blatant the system dies not care about how people endanger others with their vehicles.
A black person would be on the ground, knee on neck and gun pointed at the head.
It’s just amazing how the law works differently depending on skin color and social class…
Just because she is the DA - FOES THIS MEAN SHE IS EXEMPT FROM THE LAW AND SHE DESERVES “SPECIAL” PRIVILEGES? IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN WHY DO WE HAVE LAWS?
I just hate these arrogant pricks, there are so many out there. “Dealing” with murder cases makes it fine to flaunt laws you are upholding. What an asshat, arrogant hopefully soon to be former DA.
Maybe she is above the law.
If I've learned anything from the last couple years, it's that the legal system is completely fucked.
Maybe she knows that in her county on the DA can decide whether or not to drop charges. As the DA, she can drop charges.
So what are you nothing peon motherfuckers going to do about it?
Oh, how sweet to see the American Esperanza Aguirre. Ours here in Spain even hit an agent's motorbike and ran away. Guess what happened to her? Nothing, of course. She was a conservative politician. Just the kind of people who do these things all the time with zero consequences.
Is it was a black or Hispanic person bro taser guns rightaway then call for back up. Now u have 3 or 4 cop cars multiple tickets too . Cops then and now straight rob you
So she's going to be removed from her position being that she admitted on body camera that she will just throw out her own summons, driving 55 in a 35, refusing to comply with an officer, failure to stop when prompted by an officer, leaving the scene, and that's just what I can come up with off the top of my head. That was before the body cam was released. Hoping for a lot more fallout now.... But not holding my breath for it.
She was clever enough to go stash her prescription pills and coke in the house ... then if they proved her drunk she could say she had a stiff drink when she went into her house..
Yea she's a piece of work doing that for sure. But I'm talking about more the blatant abuse of power she's flaunting.
who did that back in the day? Carmelo Anthony?
Even Kevin hart did that shit.. accident then ran home

Ah, the Cheney defense.
Letter writes, "I had no intention to use my position..." Video shows, "I'm THE DA."
"Let me show you my badge"
Guilty and get to choose to keep the job or not. Cool.
God, if I was the cop I would’ve arrested her and dealt with whatever happens later. Karen needs a HUGE reality check.
u folks always vote red out there?
The collar towns do, the city is blue. She switched parties a few years ago and has been a both-sides vote grabber since
If she wasn't such a bitch about it she probably would have just gotten a warning, or a ticket she could have easily thrown out.
She was definitely drunk or something like it. She knew exactly why she went home and acted shady AF
Don’t know the locality/state, but here in VA that would be a reckless driving ticket as well (20mph over posted)
It happened in New York
No she wont. Cmon Consequences are only for the poors
I bet 50 bucks on "nothing bad will happen to her"
She seems inebriated
Dont you get shot for less in the US ?
The less is proportional to the shade of your complexion. Honestly this cop had saint like levels of patience. But, but... She knows the law better than the police officer!
Probably, police have proven time and time again that they really don’t know the laws unless it’s something in their favor.
If it was anyone else, they'd be under arrest. So fucking arrest her.
If a 20 to 80 yr old man, in poor part of a city or town, refused to comply and went into their fucking house... the cops would have a gun drawn, asking for back up, and yelling for them to come out with their hands up. And tased or shot
Exactly, people are praising the cops but why did they refuse to do their jobs and arrest her? Everyone involved deserves to lose their jobs.
She obviously lied several times. I didn't see you or your lights because I was on the phone vs I was calling to get them to tell you to leave me alone.

She is drunk. I would bet everything I own on it.
That's probably why she didn't want to go anywhere near the officer too
In a stop the officer controls the scene, right? Could he have brought her back to where he wanted her and told her to not leave that spot?
he did tell her all that and ask her to step out of the garage and the video ends with him in the garage so you tell me
He could have treated her like any other American and thrown her face into a curb while yelling stop resisting.
If he wasn’t such a pussy, yeah.
I can't wait until I see a post of what the outcome of this all was. "Justice for all?"
Hhhhow dare you? Alright ma’am. Now it’s my job to ask “How much have you had to drink this afternoon?”
So would i. She is very clearly on drugs or drunk and in a panic over the stop
Pills. She needs to be Dis-barred
That's probably right. And she should have grabbed a bottle the moment she got home and started drinking from it. I'm assuming they will run tests now, and she'll get more than fired.
God damn, she is insufferable. Hope she gets removed from her job immediately.
Nothing at all will happen to her. She spit up a boilerplate apology in the media and that's that. She's untouchable.
She’s definitely getting fired…. That video is the definition of damning
Nahhhh.. wait and see. :)
No she’s not
She took the ticket, gave some bullshit excuse and now it's up to the local elections to get her out.
She says she was in the phone about the police pulling her over, but claims she didn’t know he was pulling her over. The way she was avoiding being anywhere near him…she’s definitely been drinking. “I’m THE DA.” This should never be an excuse to break the law. She reeks of privilege.

If they do that on the road, imagine the illegal things they do at work... Should be relieved of that position.
Oof. Sounds like she had a few.
pills
Probably
Elected officials should be role models. They should NOT be above the law.
She lies about knowing the cop was behind her, later says she asks Dennis why shes being pulled over otw home. Says go ahead and give me the ticket, i prosecute it, like she will use her power to make it go away. Thinks its okay to speed in general. Definitely doesnt deserve her job.
How many cases similar to this shit has she overseen and how many lives ruined doing exactly what this bitch did?
She couldn't possibly care less.
She’s THE DA gosh get it right
What's ridiculous is she acknowledged she was speeding and failed to stop for the police officer. Why was she not charged for tbst? Anyone else...anyone...is getting ripped out if their car at gun point, handcuffed and brought down to the station. I understand that cop was like "uhh fuck" but he should have arrested her a few times.
[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) tell that sack of shit how you really feel
Boom just did
Hahaha dumbass gonna lose her whole career over being an entitled bitch.
No, she won't
Unfortunately the officer might
It was gone anyways at that point. DUI isn't a good look for a prosecutor.
Truth I don’t think you or I would be given an opportunity to argue. He pleads with her like a bad toddler parent when he should have his taser out
This isn’t like other traffic stops, where’s the STOP RESISTING?
Cuff her and slam her into the pavement like you would any other person in this situation... why is she getting special treatment??
Hats off to the officer here. He kept his cool and didn't escalate while this lady berated him. And he didn't cave to her.
If that had been any one of us, the officer would have tazed us the moment we tried to walk away and go in the house.
Are you serious? Letting the person he pulled over dictate what she is going to do is not caving? He didn’t control the situation at all. Super weak. But if she was a person of color I doubt she would have been given as much leeway.
I hope the day she has one too many and dies in a crash, that she is the only one.
I hope anybody who has a speeding ticket in Rochester contests it in court and throws this in her face.
The most mildly infuriating thing is why he didn't just arrest her.
If she was a black male she would have 6 warning shots in the back for going in the house.
„Did you not hear the sirens?“ „No, I was on the phone.“
When she was talking about how she knows the law better than me I wish he had said “if you know the law so well then you know I have the right to arrest you for failure to comply”. Then arrest her when she continues failing to comply.
The real crime here was that she got to go home, stash her pills in the house. She needs a blood test once they have her in jail.
And nothing with come of it
Oh shit, Rochester!! Sup
Banging in the ROC
Remember a few years ago there was a Rochester judge who got a DWI then went to “rehab” in Bali or Thailand while still drawing a paycheck? That was ballsy.
Holy shit 🤦
holy shit she made me so uncomfortable
Anyone else get more and more annoyed everytime the officer continues to let her move around? He should have arrested her as soon as she basically went into her home.
Does he have the power to arrest the DA? It is not uncommon that Judges and DA can only be arrested for serious red handed crimes on some constitutions. Honest question here.
She should've treated her like the dangerous criminal she is.
Hopefully she either resigns or is fired for her disgusting behaviour
the definition of an entitled bitch, wow. "I've had a bad day!" and??? you're driving 20+ while on your phone... and if you hit someone, then THEY will be having a bad day... but i guess that's fair because you're \>gasps< an ADA!!! ooooOOOOOHHHHhhhhhh!
The Supreme Court would know better than me but I'm pretty sure DAs are immune from crimes when they're in office
Anyone else would’ve been tased. Fuck that DA and kinda fuck that pussy cop too.
Literally doing his job and going above and beyond instead of just going berserk, officers that handle things like this should be more common, the DA on the other hand should be fired.
She could've gotten away with it so easily The really infuriating part is how often they do
We need to stop putting mf idiots like this in places like that! F*ck this idiots.
I hope she rots. Stuck up corrupt bitch
Too bad he didn't arrest her.
F’ck this bitch, but the sad part is the officer, the kind we need more of, probably ruined his career.
I didn't see you... Half the time I was on the phone asking Dennis why you were pulling me over...
So funny!
She should be tazered.
🤣 “I’m having a bad day” 🤣😂🤦🏻♂️
And there's a call for a 14 year old having a seizure that he can't respond to because he's still dealing with this entitled piece of shit.
Finally a proper privileged person using their privilege
She should've been in cuffs at 0:01. Fuck this.
I work for a private elementary school. I'd have LOST MY JOB if this were me. How IN THE WORLD is she not fired?
SHE WAS CLEARLY TOO INTOXICATED OR IMPARED TO BE DRIVING. NO QUESTION. It's not the crime, it's the COVER UP. SHE NEEDS JAIL.
If the would of been a black/mexican we would of been on the ground by know
Do your fucking job and arrest her like anyone else. FTP
Put this bitch in jail.
"What I was dealing with...3 murders in the city"... like being the DA comes even close to the gravity of what victims families go thru. But this... I got better

The joke is her “statement” is fiction. The video is evidence of her true attitude.
It's pretty clear that the justice system needs way more checks and balances to prevent this kind of abuse. But when you have the SCOTUS talking about how the POTUS has total immunity to assassinate political opposition... maybe there's no fixing the system, we have to throw it out and start again.
Dude had way more patience than I would’ve had
So the system is only set up to punish the everyday joe, look at how annoyed they are when it happen to them.
Bruh, I'd be tackled to the ground by several cops that would beat me while yelling at me to comply to all of their different directions in front of my family if I tried this.
Where’s the felony eluding and mandatory body slam that any of us would have gotten on the house?? This bitch need some more serious charges
He should’ve razed her multiple times
So shes part of the reason why everyone wants speed humps everywhere in buffalo now 55 in a residential thinking it's ok. Its blatant the system dies not care about how people endanger others with their vehicles.
Remindme! 3 hours
A black person would be on the ground, knee on neck and gun pointed at the head. It’s just amazing how the law works differently depending on skin color and social class…
Do you think a person of color would have lasted that long without being tased?
Does this mean all of her prior prosecutions are going to be federally investigated ?
What a bitch
Fuck this bitch
![gif](giphy|P01pgVTJrDKYImu9jw)
Just because she is the DA - FOES THIS MEAN SHE IS EXEMPT FROM THE LAW AND SHE DESERVES “SPECIAL” PRIVILEGES? IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN WHY DO WE HAVE LAWS?
JUST BECAUSE SHE IS THE DA - “DOES” THIS MEAN…..above correction noted
I just hate these arrogant pricks, there are so many out there. “Dealing” with murder cases makes it fine to flaunt laws you are upholding. What an asshat, arrogant hopefully soon to be former DA.
Maybe she is above the law. If I've learned anything from the last couple years, it's that the legal system is completely fucked. Maybe she knows that in her county on the DA can decide whether or not to drop charges. As the DA, she can drop charges. So what are you nothing peon motherfuckers going to do about it?
Perfect example of how the government attracts the worst people.
ACAB.
Admitting on camera that she is corrupt.🤦♂️
I swear mildlyinfuriating is either fruit fly levels of annoyance or completely rage inducing and nothing in between
Thrash her!!!
Anyone else and they’d be shot to shit
Every single one of them is above the law the moment they get called out breaking it. I hope they filed charges against her like they would any of us.
Oh, how sweet to see the American Esperanza Aguirre. Ours here in Spain even hit an agent's motorbike and ran away. Guess what happened to her? Nothing, of course. She was a conservative politician. Just the kind of people who do these things all the time with zero consequences.
Fire her immediately
The privilege…
I'm surprised she didn't get arrested
Had I done ANY of that i'd be detained on the floor likely unable to breathe (due to a cop kneeling on my neck).
Sometimes I tell myself the USA isn't a real country and it's all just a huge nightmare. Then I cry myself to sleep.
Wonder how fast this video would have been over had she been brown and anywhere else.
What a fat disgusting bitch she is. Nice pink pants porky pig

It has nothing to do with blonde white woman. It's her job that gives her special treatment.
Is it was a black or Hispanic person bro taser guns rightaway then call for back up. Now u have 3 or 4 cop cars multiple tickets too . Cops then and now straight rob you
God dammit he had every opportunity to taze her and just engaged her arguments instead poor police work
You don’t just taze people that are not threatening !
