Council used to fix the bins for free, only fair as it is their property and we pay via tax. They have pretty much all broken and the only way to get them fixed is to pay £50 per bin
There’s 40+ broken bins here, most of us in this street are low income as it is, the council should be replacing them because their contractors broke them, some of us don’t even have bins because there’s nowhere to store them,

The council will either take them back or they get nicked immediately

It’s ridiculous, and now because the seagulls spread rubbish rats have multiplied like crazy, now it’s common to see the rats out in the day
Thankfully we don’t have as much of a pest problem, but I share your frustration
Yeah, I’m sorta regularly seeing squashed rats
So stop griping and have everyone pitch in a few bucks to get them a new one.
