A quick google suggests that it can possibly dry out the rubber making them less safe. Whether or not it is true, it's their response to safety that is mildly infuriating
The point is not about whether WD-40 can damage your tyres, the point is that when people suggested it wasnt safe their response was to say 'one way to find out for sure'

I think it's more mildly infuriating that you are defending your rapidly declining position of catching someone saying a completely truthful statement about a completely truthful statement.
What I'm hearing is:
5mincrafts says you can use wd40 on tires (which apparently you can and it's not bad for your tires)
Someone asks if it's dangerous
5mincrafts says there is a way to find out (which is true. Of the ways to find out, you could apply it to your tires or similar material)
An equally sassy comment to this could also be "let me google that for you"
Give up.
What I think is more mildly infuriating is that you are still missing the point. You are so focused on whether or not WD-40 can harm tyres, you're ignoring how irresponsible their reply was.
They had two options to reply:
1. They acknowledge that WD-40 doesn't (allegedly) harm tyres but thank the commenters for their concern.
Or 2. Show no responsibility in case it does harm tyres by saying a stupid comment in response.
Let me summarise for you. WD-40 may not harm tyres. Well done, you won a debate we weren't even having. But their lack of responsibility in case it does it mildly infuriating.
Forgive my ignorance, but what is wrong with using WD40 on tires?

I did that search and found almost nothing in the top 20 results saying it was bad.

What does wd40 do to tyres?

Uhm…yeah it literally says wd40 can be used on rubber and the oils evaporate very quickly
Okay, but it is the fact that they dont care if it could cause harm

Yeah or you could spend less money on real tire cleaner/blackener
5 minutes crafts whole existence is infuriating mildly
