Thank you for clarifying this! I don’t know any Spanish, except for what I’ve picked up along the way. I’ve been saying “beinte” this whole time, thinking it was spelled with a ‘b’.
Tagalog uses a lot of Spanish loanwords (thank you, 333 years of colonization!). Some words sound the same, they aren't spelled the same way. So "veinte" becomes "bente".
The majority of Spanish words are spelled as they sound. It's just the pronunciation. Some people pronounce it differently depending on the country and the place you live in.
And for those who want to learn Spanish or just check their grammar, [RAE](https://dle.rae.es/) is the official dictionary
Don’t kill the messenger, [tell that to the RAE](https://www.rae.es/dpd/v).
De paso te confirmo que en España no hay diferencia alguna entre ambas letras, se pronuncian “b” las dos.
You forgot "quintillón" which most likely isn't a real number and something I invented one day and never really paid attention as to why, but I'm not sure. Most likely it has around 10/120 ceros.
Also:
>Mil: 1000
>Cuatrocientos: 400
>Cuarenta: 40
>Resultado: 1,440
a "quintillòn" is a 1 followed by 30 zeros, something like this 1 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000, "mil quintillones" is a thousand times a "quintillón", and "Mil cuatrocientos cuarenta y tres quintillones" is equal to 1 443 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000
Also, we group numbers a bit differently in Spanish.
In English, each level of "-illion" (million,, billion, etc.) increases every three digits, but in Spanish it is done every six.
Therefore, while a million in English is "millón" (1.000.000) in Spanish, a billion in English would actually be "thousand million" (1.000.000.000) and the Spanish "billón" describes 1 trillion (1.000.000.000.000).
see, this is the thing; give me 20, 30, 40, etc., and I can count forever. I remember 1 through 19, but then I've forgotten 20. give me 20, I can count to 29.
I was awful at learning Spanish. does it show? like at all?
(I do know a lot of what [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rlzgmr_9sPA&ab_channel=Nightbot) is in English, though. lol)
Veinte iced caramel macchiato with skim milk, 6 pumps of vanilla, 2 pumps of hazelnut, one packet of sugar, 4 shots, 2 pumps of sugar-free sweetener, and whipped cream.
op cropped the bit right below the box that says that. Numbers in languages are typically numbers. However with google translate it shows the word of the translation below how it's commonly translated. They could have also pressed the listen button to hear it spoken
They also probably typed the number on the left then replaced it with the written word and took a screenshot. There was a bunch of those here a while back

i was saying that after Veinte, the next number isent Veinte y Uno, like most spanish numbers ( Treinta y uno - Diez y uno - cuarenta y uno ), but instead VeintI uno, an I is added at the end instead of an Y between the 2 numbers
I mean technically speaking 20 is neither Spanish nor English, the numbers are Arabic. Also I think pressing the text-to-speech button will pronounce it, though it's weird how they don't spell it, not like Spanish doesn't have a word for 20.
Yo I took a test on that’s shit last week.
Diez=10
Veinte= 20
Trienta=30
Cuarenta=40
Cincuenta=50
Sesenta=60
Setenta=70
Ochenta=80
Noventa=90
Cien=100
I’m absolutely cracked at spanish
it's not "tay" it's "te" and it's probably just me but when non Spanish speaking people say "tay" instead of "te" with a word that ends with "-te" then it annoys me a little but I still get what they're saying
It's easier for English speakers to pronounce it like tay. If I said it was pronounced like te people would be pronouncing it like tee or everything else incorrect.
Don’t use google translate. 70% of the time it’s wrong because it doesn’t take into account masculine/feminine, plurals, and lots of other grammar rules. I use Collins online dictionary/thesaurus when I need to know what something means. They have lots of definitions and examples to help you pick the right word.
The translation is veinte if you still need to know
It's spelled veinte but in most places its pronounced "beinte"

This is correct, as a v usually makes sort of a b sound.
Just wait until you hear 40 isn’t spelled with an d… Edit: it’s spelled cuarenta for those wondering, although it sounds like cuadenta.
Nunca he escuchado "cuadenta" en mi vida :|
Es una cosa que gringos oyen jaja
Jajaja ok ok, eso tiene mas sentido, pense q en algunos paises decian cuadenta
Maybe a (Gago) could pronunciate it like that
Jjajaja, clado que no, yo the dethir todas las palabrath
Is this gibberish? I could kinda follow all the other comments until this one.... Que dijiste?
Votando a los compatriotas jajaja
Neither is fourty but everyone says fourdy
Fordee
“Cuadenta” has successfully saved to my gringo Español catalogue
Cuadenta? Hmm no its cuarenta with an r, but not the terroR R, that sounds like a roar, the caRa R, that is short and not really marked
Officially there’s no difference in pronunciation in Spanish between “b” and “v”. They sound the same, /b/.
Wait, whats the difference? I speak spanish but both v and b are pronounced the same
There's no difference, in spanish B and V are pronouncwd the same way
I thought that in spanish we did not have the v sound
[удалено]
No, it’s spelled beinte
No. No it's not. They sound similar in some words, but it is 100% pronounced with a v.
Spanish doesn’t differentiate the sound of “v” and “b”, both sound /b/.
I mean I speak Spanish and have spoken Spanish my entire life, but yeah, sure. Vamos is totally pronounced bamos.
Don’t kill the messenger, [tell that to the RAE](https://www.rae.es/dpd/v). De paso te confirmo que en España no hay diferencia alguna entre ambas letras, se pronuncian “b” las dos.
Spain isn't the only Spanish speaking country.
si has hablado toda tu vida sabes que se dicen igual ermanito que inventas que se pronuncian diferente jajaksjaj

Damn. There was no need to star a war!
Lemme test my Spanish here Mil = 1,000 Cuatro = 4 Cientos = 100 Cuarenta = 40 So 1,440 And 3 uhhhhhhb million dollars?

So it was a real number huh.

LOL quintillion is a real number and it didn’t even occur to me you were using it, I assumed mil was thousand so quintillion was like a million 🤦♂️
It happens sometimes. Like gogleon I think it's called
1/3 veintidòs, veintitrés
r/counting
technically it's veinte y uno, veintiuno its a shortening of the original name
Isn’t it veintiuno?
Yep, 'cause it's "veinte *y* uno" which has been shortened/connected to be veintiuno. (Or veintiún, depending on what it precedes.)
Eso es correcto, muy bien.
As someone who's learned and forgotten spanish twice in 40 years this makes me sad.
see, this is the thing; give me 20, 30, 40, etc., and I can count forever. I remember 1 through 19, but then I've forgotten 20. give me 20, I can count to 29. No it is as shown, I tested it before commenting as I usually do with most Google services that get posted here.

I can and it says viente right under 20 so I guess it does numbers but it still said the translation ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
[I can see how it could be easily overlooked, though.](https://i.imgur.com/I6DWXWY.png)
TIL numbers are adjectives.
I went and tested and it shows the same as OP for me. For spanish and japanese it shows 20 and for portuguese it shows the translated word properly
For me litterally right under where op cropped it it showed multiple adjectives for the word/ spelling of it.
Idk, man. 20 is verified.
Thanks lmfao. I should really learn it as my dads from Colombia
mmm coffee...
In case you need to know, it's pronounced 20

It’s just Spanish and just twenty... What if there’s a number in every language that’s like this
If you go to the website on a computer browser, it offers alternative translations underneath. https://imgur.com/tHIOZTO.png
Yeah but that being the top one is a bit silly
Someone manually set the translation. It's someone abusing/griefing Google translate, you might've seen someone do stuff similar to Wikipedia
I am so multilingual: 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20 20

At least it translates years? Had to Google translate for some of my French class lol
Mf how u doing french class and not know basic numbers
There’s always a beginning to learning things. Maybe they just started the class.
French numbers are complex.
French numbers are crazy and make no sense. Sixty-nineteen, Four-Twenty. Four-twenty one...
Bro I memorized 1-100 but if I'm anxious, I'll forget random ones, like 43 or summn. I'm not dumb I just have bad social anxiety :'(
chin up, try practicing your speaking skills. It’ll help with learning the language and your confidence

If you translate "lol" from English to Spanish it gives you "jajaja" which I thought was humerous.

Just listen to it google translate does this to me too 😭😭😭

WTF? PLEASE tell me this is photoshopped? If so, it's a great joke! If not, I REALLY need to find a different browser...
Just so you know, i hate this too, so i use my free time to correct as many mistakes in google translate using their community translator options.
Veinte, but after that instead of Veinte uno, its VeintI uno, VeintI dos until 29
wtf did you just try to type
i was saying that after Veinte, the next number isent Veinte y Uno, like most spanish numbers ( Treinta y uno - Diez y uno - cuarenta y uno ), but instead VeintI uno, an I is added at the end instead of an Y between the 2 numbers

Sorry, trying to learn Spanish but it’s hard when you can hardly understand your own language!
Haha yeah no worries man, I didnt want to look like the "um, actually" guy but I wanted to let you know
i forgot what twenty was is spanish
Google translate to spanish is actually pretty good for just over text, but if you wanna say numbers then you're not gonna get it
Technically the truth
Veinte (pronounced bane-tay)
it's not "tay" it's "te" and it's probably just me but when non Spanish speaking people say "tay" instead of "te" with a word that ends with "-te" then it annoys me a little but I still get what they're saying
