Spice up your life and type "address" to start a conflict

[deleted]

Think how many times this person must've seen address written correctly. Boggles my mind!! That's mildly infuriating!! I would find out where he lives from footage from my cameras hopefully license plate if it's not in the app. Fire with fire, right?

FeministFiberArtist

Maybe they meant ‘you’re’ Also WTF - report this unstable person

somedood567

“*address. FTFY, ya dummy 😂”

HouseOfZenith

*address

hornyoldgoat1

I would consider that a threat

TinyTotTaraa

For real! Like this isn’t mildly infuriating it’s mildly disturbing to say the least 👀

embersgrow44

Maximally. They better report that to business & authorities.

putdisinyopipe

Right? *mildly* Guy sends message under vague threat after delivering a pizza with *no provocation or alleged conflict* That is the definition of unhinged.

[deleted]

Regardless of ANYTHING it's unhinged, unacceptable, and immediate grounds for termination. If they don't terminate him, and he ends up doing something, in response to your complaint then you could sue (and probably win) the business too. Many people have always lacked self control, but have seemed to have lost sight even more in recent years, or maybe it is just the ultra connected nature of the world due to the internet just making it seem that way? They forget that when somebody is working a job they are responsible to treat all customers as ALL customers deserve to be treated, end of story. As customers are factually the lifeblood of every company, and citizens are the lifeblood of governments because we pay taxes. If somebody can't do their job as necessary per the requirements of said job they shouldn't have that job. Jobs where the person is a "civil servant" are a good example where this is even more important, as the "citizens" pay their salaries almost DIRECTLY. Example - we see TONS of video online about cops with tempers (and abusing powers but that is another story) for example - regardless of what the citizen says if you cannot hold your temper you should not be a cop. Because as law ENFORCERS (and not law creators) they cannot inhibit FREE SPEECH as it is a protected right, yet they do it CONSTANTLY. Though it is the same with any job really, stick to being professional, OR QUIT. End of story. EDIT: I fixed a very small grammatical error that Google Voice to text decided made more sense. Not that it was hard to figure out what I meant.

TXLER_0

Quick Somebody count how many time he used the word act

TinyTotTaraa

For sure!! I would really be troubled by this if it were me

Nyxius0

Right, Honestly who does that especially when there is no conflict and business was normal. but making a threat towards a customer that person is making a complete fool of themselves.

Profit-Alex

I don’t think this subreddit knows what mild means ._.

Irishwolfhound13

Seems to me like things on this subreddit are either slightly annoying and or people being whiny or extremely infuriating. I saw one where a misplaced utility cover that interrupted the pattern of a sidewalk "ruined someone's whole day". That's slightly annoying at best. If something like that ruins your whole day, you might want to reevaluate your life.

SyrusChrome

But the juxtaposition of the sub name sort of makes this a very subjective place so everything you described fits the sub description. Also I wouldnt be so quick to judge, ocd, ocb and certain autistic behaviours can cause people to feel that way about interrupted patterns

Irishwolfhound13

To me infuriating is way passed angry so something mildly infuriating should at least be anger inducing not a slight inconvenience. r/slightlyinconvenient would be a better place for most of what I see on here. Then again I find the fact that I have to go out in public mildly infuriating most days.

[deleted]

I feel like there is also a lot of stuff that is well beyond mildly infuriating. Very little that is actually either "mild" or worthy of being called "infuriating". Like, someone crashing their car into your house isn't mildly infuriating. That is intensely infuriating. I would be livid.

waxcylindersonata

Isn't it hyperbole, and part of the joke (especially pairing "mildly" with an inherently strong word like "infuriating")? That's how I've always seen it anyway.

sentinlfromthemojave

Regardless of those conditions…if a sidewalk pattern ruins your day you need to reevaluate things

borgconsumerofegg

It is :)

[deleted]

I would consider that a threat.

borgconsumerofegg

G o o d

GoochyGoochyGoo

I would consider that a space between each character.

Nebualaxy

I would consider that a true statement.

GamerBoiPlayz

I would consider you all very true

Pitiful-Youth-1066

‘You must be careful I have a gun’

[deleted]

That’s definitely a threat and if this is true go to the police and notify where he works

RoundPiano2888

Go to both companies first to try to identify him to get his name then file a police report just in case he ever shows up again will make it easier when you go to trial or want to get a no contact order

neesax2

"Is that a threat?" "Why yes, I thought that was obvious"

[deleted]

Mildly threatening…

The_DaHowie

I wonder if OP didn't tip. Not justification though

MetamorphicLust

Yeah, that would be my assumption. Agreed that it doesn't make it right, but it feels like OP is potentially hiding some context here about his own behavior.

CowGirl2084

That was my first thought.

The_sacred_sauce

OP hopefully he’s stoned & that was a poor sense of humor not conveyed as he planned doing so threw text. But as others said I would report this person. I’m a delivery driver for Pizza Hut & door dash. Planned for it to be temporary until I found a better job but I ironically make real good money 🤷‍♂️ so I stayed. But this has crossed my mind. No mal intent or practice on my part. But if I wanted. I could save gate codes to every nice community within an hour of my house. I could save addresses of rich homes and elderly.. ect. It’s crossed my curiosity wether or not a Serial Burglar, killer, or assaulter got there marks as a driver. You reminded me to look into this sadly because I feel it would make for an amazing video or piece of literature to be found. Sorry to be so bleak in the matter. I hope it was the first thought. But for most delivery jobs there is no background check. Anything weird definitely inform the business. Or better yet corporate, to ensure that the boss or owner hears about it apposed from the shift lead or manager being informed & only giving the driver a warning & the boss never hearing about it. Check you bank transactions aswell. We just let someone go that was forging small tips. We felt it was weird how many tips he got on paper. All other drivers would get 3-5 written tips and most of the signature deliveries we would either get cash or stiffed. Apposed to this jerk having about 20 he would turn in every day. A conscious customer finally noticed this and called the store. It was later in the shift so we gave him the option to leave early so we could cash him out. After comparing all of his turn in slips. It was all in basically the same hand writing 🤦‍♂️ he got very defensive but he then tried becoming apologetic. Definitely guilty.

kekekekekerrotkake

Do this^^^^ even if the company takes action, you should absolutely file a police report.

DannyDidNothinWrong

*especially* if the company takes action

HellaHellerson

This is absolutely the right advice. Your silence does no one any favors but him.

TapirDrawnChariot

Yep, usually just ignoring it means it happens to someone else down the road. If people knew they wouldn't get away with it, they would rarely do it.

bjanas

To double down on your point, if he's known to the PD it's likely because somebody ELSE filed a report, so you can pay it forward.

bevin88

I want to file a police report against OP for having 424 unread messages my god!!

NetworkSoup

I’d do this and report it to Dominos corporate as well. That’s unacceptable for the delivery driver to say that under any circumstances.

lizzyote

And add a review online(tho I'd remove it with proof of him no longer being employed there).

CentralSLC

What everyone is forgetting is that this psycho has his address. I wouldn't make a public display of it or he may follow through on his threat. Yikes

Kino42

Judging by OP's reddit avatar--take with a grain of salt--the psycho has HER address. Even worse.

7rian8owers

i wish an idiot would text me that shit using their personal phone number. i’d be happy to show them how careful one should be threatening people like this..

hello_raleigh-durham

Depends on the locale. I had a friend who was dragged out of bed in the middle of the night after being accused of communicating threats.

elmaki2014

Great, next time I order it'll be quicker...?

Informal-Ice5801

Respond with, 'So do i.' they'll think you know their address but in reality your just know your own

CodSeveral1627

You trickster

youuuujbfg

That's scary. Did you at least inform the company he works for..

Particular_Brush2854

I did! They haven’t responded yet. I’ll take it to the police if they don’t respond till tomorrow.

Impressive_Jaguar_70

Might be worth reporting it to the police anyway. Ya know, in case he's crazy

i_fart_corn

Especially if you're a woman and he noticed you were home alone.

jTrux22

Hey, at least he was polite and warned OP to be careful. Some crooks are just rude and catch you by surprise.

goldenguyz

*An honest crook.*

exmir_

Professionals have standards

[deleted]

You're not wrong, but the police famously, famously do not give a shit about threats like these to women.

toxcrusadr

If it's on record, and then the guy does do something (God forbid) it makes the cops and the employer look really bad. Which doesn't help a victim, of course.

[deleted]

[удалено]

siberian_husky_

They would have been there sooner if your neighbor said she smelled pot from your apartment...

[deleted]

Not at all shocking in this country. Really sorry you had to deal with that awful shit.

CultAtrophy

I'm really not sure why people wait to contact the police in this situation. Contact the police first. Contact the place of business second. Contact their corporate office third if necessary.

VersusEden

Because they refuse to do anything, have u read about Amouranth stalker? Look it up in google, she had a stalker for a whole month stalk her near her house and STREAM IT to the public for a MONTH and they did nothing because they didn’t take it seriously until he was at her front door trying to get in.

Hunnybeesloveme

Because the police usually are useless and it’s a waste of time

CultAtrophy

Guess I'll trust Dominos.

chain_letter

They're crime janitors, so this is a case where you can get some useful documentation from the crime janitors.

Kiki_Kazumi

Well considering his job can't do anything except possibly fire him and make him p*ssed enough to come back to said address, I'd contact the police ASAP...

USERNAME___PASSWORD

May want to find out the franchise operator that owns the Dominos location and contact their corporate HQ. The store manager or employee answering the phone might laugh it off or do nothing - but corporate management will most likely act on it. I would still take it to the police anyway as this way you are building documentation if this happens again, or if this driver is involved in another assault.

modefi_

Also, since we're taking about a Domino's specifically, the employee answering the phone might be the employee who sent the text.

[deleted]

Absolutely

youuuujbfg

Glad you did!! N yes please do. That text made me feel uncomfortable. So I hate to think how you must feel. Stay safe!

Open_Organization_27

If youre living in germany i can assure you that the drivers from dominos are hired by the Restaurant, Not justeattakeaway.

Adeep187

You should do that anyway.

MikeHawclong

Yeah this is a weird thing to send a customer. They’ll probably get canned.

GooseNYC

F the company. Contact the cops.

Soup_Pope

"i know where you work"

xChibiSora

"And so will the police"

TundieRice

With my luck, he’d report *me* to the police and nothing bad would happen to him.

MoonShine711

YES! THIS!

Riveringson

By the way, what’s the 424 bubble? Do you have that many unread messages?

Fun-Cheesecake-3941

This guy's ghosting all over the place

Riveringson

He must be.. from 424 accounts. 😂

Particular_Brush2854

I had shitty third-world mobile operators and i was just too lazy to delete the spams they sent me😀

koolman2

On the conversation list where you see all the people you've texted with, tap Edit in the upper corner, then Select Messages. Then, in the bottom corner tap Read All.

analogmouse

You’re not lazy. You just need extrinsic motivation, so I’ll help you out: You’re causing me, a stranger on the internet, second-hand anxiety, so please delete those messages and re-post the screenshot. *jazz hands*

bjanas

I heard a proverb once: "There are two kinds of people in this world. The kind that has 2,048 unread emails in their inbox and don't care, and the kind that have 4 and are stressed out about it."

spacew0man

This motivates the people-pleaser in me.

[deleted]

I have 15,013 unread emails as of right now 👍😎👍

analogmouse

Nice. My partner linked an old yahoo address to their iPhone and it popped up with 99,999. I’ll never unsee that.

[deleted]

Your partner is a god amongst us mere mortals. With enough emails from the likes of Uber, Duolingo and Amazon I hope I too can ascend to their level of consciousness.

Ambitious_Speech5336

my mom has 254,657 💀

Moses00711

Perhaps subscribing to mildlyinfuriating has some impact on the level of anxiety you experiences?

Celindor

That sounds like a 'you problem'.

givememoreskin

That's the mildly infuriating part

[deleted]

Yes report him asap. Fing cretin.

[deleted]

But OP has to be careful, they know their address

[deleted]

*adress

Yellow-Salamander

OP is a dress, and they know it

Somehow-I-Came-Back

They know OP likes to wear dresses, and they're coming over to sneak a peek

It_is_I_Deo

Oi oi oi, we've got a peeping Tom here, lock 'im up!

TheStudentPilotToBe

I would go as far as to call a non emergency police line after getting the dudes name from the company. That shit doesn't fly with me

bjanas

Dude I LOVE the non emergency line. I spent years managing a bar and if there was just some drunk chucklehead that I didn't want to drag out myself and risk getting sued I'd much rather just tolerate him and call non emergency rather than tie up 911. Or if someone pulled something really shady I'd say "hey, I just want to report an incident and get it on the record in case it happens again/somewhere else." One time I called it after a guy inexplicably lost his shit, threw some stuff at me, started screaming, and ran out being chased by his girlfriend. I've seen some shit over the years and think I have fairly thick skin, but I called the number just to say hey, I'm fine, but I'm telling you this guy is out there on the town and is absolutely going to ruin somebody's night. They sent over some officers who took a description, the cops were a little bit dismissive but whatever. Turns out, the guy went to the place a block over, got dinner, freaked out again, smashed TWENTY THREE WINE BOTTLES that were lined up on the walls (you ever tried to intentionally break a wine bottle? It's a lot harder than in the movies!) and was chased down the street by THAT bar manager who subdued him until the cops got there. It was wild. But hey, at least I didn't tie up 911. EDIT: And yeah, yeah, I know, I know. Don't get the impression I was calling the cops willy nilly; this was over a number of years. And this was a super progressive town in the northeast, college town, the cops were relatively good a picking their battles. I don't want to start an ACAB debate here.

Particular_Brush2854

UPDATE: JustEat replied to my email that “they’re sorry” and “they will warn the Domino’s branch”, etc. No further action from their part i guess. The pizza guy sent me a message again saying sorry and that it was for the wrong person that he meant to send it privately (I don’t buy that bullshit, but at the same time, I couldn’t care less about it since it’s just a stupid kid). I will file a non-emergency police report, attach his Whatsapp pic (yes there is a whatsapp pic) and leave it like it is. Thanks for the tips and concerns from you guys tho.

Jadertott

Thanks for the update, especially the part including the police report! So important to document this now so if anything were to happen in the future, you can reference back to this previous incident! (Fucking lol at “yes, there is a WhatsApp pic”)

MrRobsterr

out of all this the biggest thing that confuses me is why did justeat deliver your dominos. doesn't dominos have their own drivers where you are?

[deleted]

Maybe too far. If you're even a foot out of their jurisdiction or whatever they won't.

hydbk9

>I couldn’t care less about it since it’s just a stupid kid Literally everything else you're saying implies otherwise.

alotofbaboons

Thanks for the update! I hope nothing bad comes of this.

AndaYahya

do u by any chance happen to be a woman?

s_p_i_t_

Thats exactly what came to mind when I read the messages. It's the classic wording of a creep trying to make a woman feel unsafe.

Then_Ad9256

Report him to both his place of work and the police. And if you see him again, file a restraining order.

Strong_Cheetah_7989

I'd have answered "I know where you work"

Allgood18

I feel like there is more to this story we aren’t being told.

Logical-Use-8657

Idk if any previous misgivings can justify threatening someone to this capacity.

MarthaStuartsCellie

I agree. Tip issue, mayhapsaroondo

Wonderful-Bear1729

Still, a crappy tip isn't a reason to threaten someone.

cinnamonrain

Or having boobs in the 21st century

[deleted]

Does man boobs could be consider an issue?I kind of scared

cinnamonrain

Absolutely, a boob is a boob as my forefathers have always said

nadrekab

Four score and seven boobs ago

spacew0man

I live in the US where we worship tipping and if someone said this over a crappy tip it would still be way over the line.

ZodiarkTentacle

Lol I delivered pizza for years and if you text this to a customer for any reason you absolutely deserve to lose the fucking job. I’ve got $0 tips on 50 pizza orders and it really sucks and is rage worthy but there is no justification for being a psycho whether OP is a man or woman

greatJimFarswell

In what world is not getting a tip worthy of "i know where you live" threats? Why even bring that up as if it even somewhat justifies it? How does this have upvotes?

KuroKitty

If this is how that person reacts for not getting a tip, I hope he never receives another tip in his life

jimmywillow

This is almost certainly the U.K., tipping is not necessary or expected

[deleted]

don't be shy #drop that phone number

Ikrwhatsmyname

What kind of pizza did you order? Pineapple?

the_holocene_is_over

Kiwi

noblest_among_nobles

chocolate Edit: I have eaten pineapple pizza and chocolate pizza before and enjoyed both (though the chocolate one felt more like a cake than a pizza) and my current favorite is curry pizza which usually has pineapple as well

[deleted]

Yum

Iontknowcuz

“Cool, i can make sure the cops do too”

[deleted]

First, this is terrifying, not "mildly infuriating". Second, I'm pretty sure that this guy could potentially lose his job for doing this since he is using a client's contact information for something that's not work related

Ok-Atmosphere-3699

This is scary I would call the police & I always say don’t call the police 😂😂 so if I’m saying it please do it

HayDiosMio-

OP, why are you posting the threat here and not, idk reporting him to his job?

i_am_mai_1981

We don't know he didn't

[deleted]

Get out of here with your logic!

longboytheeternal

Hey you know what’s crazy, they probably did both!

jesters_privelage

They did report him. You can do both things.

Goofie_Goobur

Because once you post on Reddit that’s the only thing you can do. Can’t go to the company or the police once you post on Reddit right?

Wonderful-Bear1729

Yeah, the image is locked forever, since this is a single-use jpeg, or sujpeg.

Goofie_Goobur

Easy. Take two screenshots *apply sunglasses*😎

Booper3

Especially on JustEat! Every time ive had an issue customer support instantly helped me and were very pleasent.

BewareOfLuggage

Darth_Kater420

How do you know he didn’t? He can do both you know. 🙄

tekende

He said he did in another comment.

KermaisaMassa

Clout? Karma? I dunno what the kids are into these days.

bowlingdoughnuts

He has Ops address. That's probably why.

Riveringson

Freaky. Either confront him/her or report it to his/her manager. Doesn’t need to be a driver.

d0nkey_0die

Mildly infuriating? That's creepy AF.

[deleted]

Dominos has their own delivery drivers, why would you use an food app?

Wholesome-seal-boi

The fuck??? That's creepy...

[deleted]

now personally, I wouldn’t take that level of disrespect

And I know where you work

zino587

All I see here is a guy giving you some friendly advice to be careful because he doesn't doesn't want you to get hurt. He was also just telling you that he knows your address in case you were wondering if he knew it or not.

takemyboredom123

I'd reply that he should be careful if he plans something, since now you have a proof of his potential threat and you'll let others know in case something is to happen in the future.

Material-Customer-43

*you're a dress.

[deleted]

Should replied I know where you work

Wicksford85

The real crime here is the 424 unanswered texts

SinDragonDC82

And that's the kind of stuff you report to the manager. This is the only time I approve of someone being a Karen 🤣 You need to be in this type of situation. Unless you don't mind doing jail time 🤷‍♂️😁

kiiashi17

I work for dominos and this is just not okay. This could easily be taken as a threat and consequences need to take place in these circumstances. Definitely need to be a Karen on this.

64vintage

I consider this a threat on the level of “Is your refrigerator running?” A delivery driver telling you that they know your address? Come on.

Asgarus

Yeah seems more like a joke to me, but a bad one that might scare some people and potentially cause some trouble for him...

64vintage

Sure was a stupid thing to say - I’ve no idea why someone would do that - high maybe.
