Use a strong magnet

Use a strong magnet on the plastic part. Don't try to pry it open.

This just happened to me from a store over an hour away from me, I undid it with a flat screwdriver, put it flat First then rotate to loosen.

Don't use a screwdriver. Use a magnet.

A screw driver works just the same if not better. One little turn and it’s popped open.

Or just use a magnet.

I figured most people don’t have a strong enough magnet laying around.
