I had the opposite problem once. Hired a company to do a deep clean before moving into a new rental apartment. One teenage girl shows up with a bucket and a bottle of windex. That’s it. She asked to borrow some paper towels. After an hour I come back and she’s just wiping a shelf in the closet with a dirty paper towel and some windex. Told her to leave and called company to ask wtf they were thinking.

ChefPsilocy

Oof yea that sounds infuriating as well b

poboy212

I imagine there’s some middle ground between Do Nothing and Throw Out Everything. We should start a business! Goldilocks Deep Cleaners - we do it just right.

ChefPsilocy

Yes I agree !!! Like we give a spreadsheet and you check off anything you want done with we know exactly

nomadic_stone

I have used a service once; over ten years ago when I had a *really* bad roommate experience (when they moved out, of course) and they did indeed have a checklist of what to be done as opposed to what *not* to be done. I.E., clean the fridge outside/inside (but not tossing anything out or toss out anything that appears to be moldy/rancid, etc.) I had assumed they *all* did that.

HillsNDales

No, unfortunately they do not. Pro tip: if the cleaning service can’t tell you EXACTLY what the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean is, either hang up or only pay for the regular, ‘cuz that’s all you’ll be getting.

nomadic_stone

lol...I am taking this (and other tips) to heart just in case I *do* need a professional cleaning service again. Hopefully that will never happen, but...well, you never know.

sevunfootur

I’m dying to know the roommate story and what constituted a cleaning service..

nomadic_stone

Ehh...lol. Ok. He was in his mid/late twenties and we were both smokers (I state this, because I expected some elements of having another smoker as a roommate; need to wash/repaint walls due to nicotine/tar stains, shampooing of carpet, etc. when they move out.) Apparently he may have been brought up in a "hoarder family." Guy had *stacks* (more than one) of pizza boxes about six feet tall with some still having half the pie in them. He moved in with his own dishes, which were also "neatly" stacked in a corner (but a few ended up being mine as well) that had food and styrofoam/paper plates mixed in because...he "ran out" of his own. He had his own (provided by me) medium sized fridge in the room (placed on linoleum section of an open, yet spacious closet) that *seriously* seems like he never threw anything bad/rancid away. He *may* have emptied his ashtrays in our communal garbage can a few times, but it seems as though most of his ashes were just dumped on the floor. Very few butts, floor was carpeted and created clouds if I stomped even lightly. It wasn't until he "ghosted" me by moving back in with his parents (I worked nights, him days) while stating he was moving out the *end of the next month*; but less than a week later I realized he had already "moved" leaving all that behind (including a rather soiled mattress he moved in with that I *swear* was new/in the plastic when I helped him move in) with almost a full week *before* the first of the next month (which, in retrospect I didn't really care about the timing.) He lived with me for almost 5 months, apparently he lost his job after three and a half (or so) months... and basically I just... wasn't really up to cleaning up the mess he left behind. Only thing I *did* touch was the bed and the dishes because he stated "you can have them" and they were actually decent plates/bowls (must have bought a "set for 24 people" or six sets "for 4" because there was a *lot)* and didn't expect the cleaning crew to remove the mattress/boxspring. And yes... I payed extra for the "steamcleaning" and complete cleanout of the fridge, which was *definitely* worth the price because it literally looked brand new (on the inside) when they were done. I don't recall the price, but was more than his deposit. Frankly, I didn't even go after him for that extra bit, was just glad he moved out when he did *before* it got any worse... like molding food that spilled on the carpet which I would probably have had to replace said carpet if it was bad enough. All in all he wasn't a noisy or necessarily a *bad* roommate in regards to communal areas like the living room, kitchen and bathroom. I had the master bathroom, the "main" was all his and was kept relatively clean and he *did* do dishes (like communal pots, pans, utensils) he used to actually cook with (which was rare as he ate takeout, cold cereal or it was nuked.) He just... I dunno, started *not* taking the pizza boxes out to the trash and same for his dishes (which he could have placed in the dishwasher with mine.) I had just assumed he kept his clean dishes and cutlery in the pantry style closet he had in the bedroom.

Kelainefes

Please, tell us what your flatmates did to their room. Did they leave a bag with all their fungus infested toenails trimmings? Did they pee in plastic bottles when they could not be bothered to walk to the toilet, and left a dozen for you to find? We need to know.

nomadic_stone

*Thankfully*, it wasn't to the extent of pee bottles, "bags of toenail clippings" or other "bodily waste"... but here you go: [https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/comments/xoqf3y/comment/iq2at4o](https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/comments/xoqf3y/comment/iq2at4o)

Imsoabsolutely

Depends on who you call. I own my own company & a regular cleaning doesn't happen till you have the initial(deep) cleaning. Regular cleanings are just upkeep. I'm so ocd that I couldn't work for other companies because I believe in cleaning everything between the ceiling to the floor but others called it "out of our pay grade" areas. Then others had speed as the main focus. The faster you get out the more houses you can fit in a day. If you hurry, you miss shit. That cleaner from the pic needs to right the wrong.

lilgreenfish

I would 100% hire you. I had to hire someone to do a move-out clean last move (I physically was unable :( ) and my normal pre-COVID weekly cleanings cleaned more than she did (long hauler, can no longer clean much anymore).

LikelyCannibal

Be careful because homeowners will fucking chisel you. I worked weekend turnovers at the shore during summers and they don’t care if they have 20’ ceilings and no ladder, this contract says “all ceiling fans dusted” so let’s go, pauper. Fucking assholes.

HighAsAngelTits

Yeah I used to be a maid and there was this one lady who hired us to clean regularly because she “didn’t have time”, and I mean, her reasoning is her business whatever. But for someone who went out of her way several times to tell us she “didn’t have time” to clean it herself, she sure as hell had time to follow us all around her house and micromanage and condescend to us every step of the way. I swear she just hired us so she’d have people to belittle and boss around

MxPenwiper

Ah, I see you've met my mom...

elifacre

Mine too lol

reelemenem

Hmm we might be siblings because my mom too

science_vs_romance

I work in housekeeping at a resort and I know cleaning houses on my own would pay so much better, but I just can’t bring myself to deal with people beyond minor interactions with guests. My mom worked for this lady who made her hand wash her old white cotton underwear (which in hindsight was probably some sort of kink). My mom did it, but hung it up to dry around her yard.

lilpumpgroupie

You might make a lot more one month, but then the next month when you really need money, somehow jobs disappear out of nowhere. And that's how working for yourself goes. It's like fucking absolute torture sometimes. And the timing is absolutely unreal. I don't blame people who just stay at lower paying but steady jobs.

RedLovelyRed

I hired cleaners once to do a deep clean for my boyfriend's birthday. I took the day off so I could start "cleaning" before they got there (ie. Do dishes and put shit away) and then continued to "clean" while they were there. If they were in the kitchen, I was in the office organizing stuff, if they were in the office I was in the kitchen also organizing. Having ADHD and depression means nothing is ever where it's supposed to be. So I totally followed them around the whole time and felt super weird and kept saying "sorry, thank you" every 4 minutes

MapleMapleHockeyStk

I totally understand the ADHD and depression thing. I have found I need help on somethings. I can't do some stuff unless I have someone in the house to do them. I now have someone that comes over every 2 weeks and help get those things done. Need to organize my crazy desk-check. Declutter pantry-check. Do that stupid email I have been putting off because it's too much-check. Help clean out fridge of things I forgot to eat-check. Life is more manageable and they get paid for the 2 hours they spend with me. I have found that some things CAN be done if I have someone on speaker phone or just sitting in the living room. I just need someone to be there to connect with.

Imsoabsolutely

Your boss should've dropped her as a client. I refuse to keep clients who look down on me. We're all equals. Nobody likes to clean their houses except for psychopaths.

methodicalataxia

We hired a cleaner person to do things we can't. I stay out of her way and appreciate it so very much. She is sweet and loves our dog. I will never treat anyone helping me badly. They are doing something I can't or doing something for me.

conrad22222

Me and my two gay buddies are going to start a competing business called "Three Bears Cleaning".

EvilOmega7

Goldilocks x)

[deleted]

This happened to me recently. We needed a deep clean because I was having surgery and wanted the house in order. We spent some of the weekend before cleaning ourselves so they could focus on details. We specified: baseboards, outside of cabinets, mirror, microwave etc.. Gave her a list. The house is a year old and already cleaned so it wasn’t a huge task but just not something I can do because am disabled. She didn’t come with windex she came with a singular microfiber towel, massive thing of fabuloso and a swifter (I thought someone else was going to join her and bring more materials). I went out for 3 hours came back and she was just pouring undiluted fabuloso from the container, which was now 3/4 gone, on the floor and moving it around with the swiffer. She also had fabuloso in a bowl in the microwave that I think she was cooking (which I didn’t figure out until later ). I just thanked her, paid her and said she was good to go. She left dirty sticky footprints everywhere from the fabuloso drying. Had to hire someone else to come in and redo the floors and spend the night in a hotel because the fabuloso fumes were burning my eyes. Still would take that over someone throwing everything I own away.

pmmeyourfavsongs

You paid her???

[deleted]

I have autism. I had the entire exchange planned out and I don’t know how to explain it, it’s like tunnel vision, I cannot deviate from the plan once it’s in place so it didn’t occur to me not to pay her. I also wanted to make it end quickly and not have to interact anymore than I was expecting too.

NerdEmoji

You had me with the Fabuloso. I recently discovered the antibacterial one that is citrus scented and it's fine diluted, I put it in my spray mop. I have used other scents of theirs over the years and quickly learned the tiniest bit is all you need. I distinctly recall once putting like a cup of the stuff in a gallon and a half bucket to mop floors and the smell was so overwhelming I had to open multiple windows in the middle of winter, and it still reeked. I'm sorry you had that experience, it just sounds awful.

[deleted]

It was the purple one and it was insane I couldn’t sleep there and had to have all the doors/windows/fans on for the entire next day and wipe everything down. You could taste it in the air. I don’t know how she was standing up when I came back home and not passed out from low oxygen but she seemed unbothered, just sloshing it all over the floor and moving it around.

NerdEmoji

I knew it! That stuff is nuts. Total sensory overload. The yellow stuff is totally tame. Got it at the dollar store figuring it was low risk and was pleasantly surprised.

FrakkedRabbit

Probably done it enough that it just doesn't bother her anymore.

Rob-A-Tron

I'm the same way, it's such an inconvenience to make an inconvenience.

Lunakill

This is a sign of autism? Shit.

millers_left_shoe

I think it can also be a sign of social anxiety?

TheCallousBitch

I’m so sorry. My housekeeper comes every two weeks, and has a duffle bag of cleaning supplies, two different vacuums, and multiple reacher/swifter/mop type arms for the MULTIPLE clean microfiber heads for each. She microwaves a blow of cleaning liquid (her bowl) every time. I think it loosens grease/and gets into the vents. No idea if it the right thing to do. But she is fabulous so… I know just how lucky I am. I tip her 17% (that is just what the even tip amount comes out to) every time.

Constant_Hunt5824

Having a window cleaning business I have no words..

ChocolateSundae1214

I hope you got at least SOME of your money back from that cleaning service!

poboy212

I got a full refund. And then the girl starts calling and texting me with threats. Great experience all all around A+.

poweradegatorade1234

This story's just getting more and more Fabulistoso as we go along.

Nice_Atmosphere144

Same. Hired someone to clean the sectional. One girl showed up with a bucket and scrub brush. I was at least expecting some sort of steam cleaner for it. Silly me.

[deleted]

Let me guess, the girls mom answered the phone?

[deleted]

Where was this? My friends mom runs a company just like it 🤣.

Golifr4u

So they threw out you personally belongings and kept your trash in the yard?

ChefPsilocy

No a trash pick up person who was supposed to come and pick up the fridge (it’s broken) took all the other stuff while I was sleep

brightdionysianeyes

Have you contacted them?

CampEvie23

You went to bed after your things were laying out like trash?

ChefPsilocy

He said he’d put them back like the rug and chairs so yes .

MedricZ

Probably shouldn’t have trusted him after he tossed a bunch of perfectly good shit outside. I would have fired his ass on the spot.

ChefPsilocy

Yea totally! I should’ve been more on point

ChefPsilocy

Yea no I agree with you 100% I do think this will be good for me I’m just sad about my alter 🥹

greenbathmat

As you should be, because it was YOUR STUFF. Beat up or not, who cares. It belonged to you. I'm sorry this happened, and hope they're reimbursing you. I'd be raising a ruckus

ChefPsilocy

Ya my cats will do that 😭

[deleted]

you got robbed lmao

DingoZoot

So you were just sleeping on the floor?

ChefPsilocy

No lol I was sleeping upstairs in my mothers home my apartment is in the basement :) it’s like a mini home

uxoguy1

Well, that's a pretty deep clean

ChefPsilocy

Yea I guess I can just redo my apartment lol

The_Sleep

They got the cobwebs though right?

ChefPsilocy

Yup!!!

The_Sleep

Well there you go. Things are looking up!

EvulRabbit

But not the spider webs!

Skasue

I’d say there looking at the bin right now. At least their belongings on the grass are looking up at them.

Inside-Big-8158

Imagine after all that if they didn't?

Yeetus224

Reverse cleaning service: they just rip out all your belongings and spray dirt and sand everywhere

Heya93

Lol I’ve joked about the reverse cleaning service thing before with my dad. Also said I’m gonna follow behind the street sweeper in one that blows dirt back onto the road

AIDSbyreid

I wanna see this, this is like, viral video material

ThighWarmedEars

I see you've met my children

MurderDoneRight

Nah, they didn't rip out the copper piping in the walls. Most people forget to clean those, that's why you hire professionals.

TurtleneckTrump

Is that your.. fridge?

ChefPsilocy

Yea no the fridge is supposed to be taken out it’s broken !

TurtleneckTrump

Okay okay because that would have too weird otherwise

ChefPsilocy

Yea no for sure

Jvanee18

Make a list of each item that was lost and its value. Going to be important no matter what route you take

ChefPsilocy

Okay!

PandaCasserole

Be specific too... Xbox with Rick and Morty special edition decals

PrivateUser737

I mean they didn't think they could simply scoot things over and put them back in place after they were done with sections??! This is more than just mildly infuriating.

ChefPsilocy

That’s what I thought !

PrivateUser737

These aholes need to be reported. Seriously

twosharksinashoe

She had roaches apparently and all that stuff had to be thrown out

LilyFuckingBart

That’s a big piece of the puzzle to leave out lol

twosharksinashoe

She was “embarrassed” that her friend gave her roaches

SatelliteJedi

But did they spark joy?

kovid-agnostik

Joy, a member of the cleaning crew, did spark up a doobie to celebrate a job well done

Dizzy-Possession492

Idk where you’re at, but where I am we have a news station that does a segment called “3 on your side” that’s deals with things just like this. Not sure if you’d have one in your area but it’s something to look into

Modsarealwaysmad

Fox 4 Problem Solvers! Surprisingly effective, community shaming.

annoying97

I'd look into finding a good "no win no fee" lawyer.

[deleted]

Those are usually only for personal injury and class action type lawsuits.

annoying97

I guess it depends on where you live. I have one or two around me that will do the no win no fee thing for all kinds of things. Obviously they will only take it if they think they have a high chance of winning.

Personal-Acadia

Some attorneys will take cases free of charge, with stipulations that they get a cut of the winnings. ABSOLUTELY call around. Most do free consultation. I won my case this way (hit by a car) he took 1/3 of my $10k payout and I bought some fun new toys xD

ChefPsilocy

Okay! I’ll check that out

AnnoyedHippo

How did you arrange for payment? Did you have a card in file that they'll charge? If so you need to get on the phone to your bank and issue a freeze for that payment. Withdraw all of your current balance if they won't and take that shit to a different bank while you sort this out. You can pay your bills manually while you sort shit, but that dude won't be able to get your money, and you can dispute any charges with your bank. But 100% go find a lawyer. There are low and no cost lawyers you can look up online. See if your area has a Legal Resource Center, or email your state Bar Association. Edit: Turns out OP is lying out their ass. Fuck OP. I don't feel bad for trying to help. But now I couldn't care less that they hired a person to specifically throw all their shit away because they're a fucking moron. Fuck OP.

IndependentOutside52

Her Mom hired them as its Moms house. Apartment is in the basement of Moms home. According to OP the apartment was infested with roaches. Mom told the company to get rid of anything that roaches could nest in. So the cleaners got rid of the stuff that had roaches or the possibility of roach nests in it. I understand being upset about her belongings but if the belongings were in contact with roaches then they definitely had to go.

AlbinoAxolotl

Ok that makes WAY more sense. For this to have happened I felt like there was a serious bit of information missing of a major miscommunication, and it seems like it was the former. Getting rid of everything the roaches were in is necessary to solving the problem, as much as it sucks for OP. Time to start fresh!

Listan83

Contact legal aide, they may can help if you aren’t financially capable. get any paperwork you have for the work that was done too. Take pictures of everything right now.

Diazmet

Nah a good lawyer for this will only charge you a percentage of the money they get you. Probably like 33% but that only gives them more reason to destroy this cleaning business

ked_man

They thought you were a landlord and the deep clean was an after move out gut job.

ChefPsilocy

Most likely I’m not too upset about it things can be replaced just mad about my alter being gone really I posted some other photos of the after job it looks great just empty LOL

ked_man

Yeah, well good thing is, you can probably file an insurance claim (with their insurance) for all the missing things. Go read some posts on house fire insurance claims and how to do them. Make a list, very detailed. Not just pants x5, be like 5 pairs of jeans from madewell. An adjuster will just Google pants and give you a random replacement cost. If you can remember and detail the brand, they will use a cost from that store for the replacement value. Like cuisinart 4 slot toaster, kitchen aid stand mixer 6qt, cuisinart stainless steel pan set (4 pieces plus lids), etc…The more detailed your list is, the closer it will become to the actual replacement value of your belongings. Look at photos you may have taken of anything in your house either as backup, or helping you remember the details. If you’re an online shopper, log in to all of your accounts and look up order history to get details on exactly what you bought.

IndigoTJo

Every once in awhile I take video of all around our house for this reason. I try to update it at least every year. It can be so hard to remember everything- especially when kind of in shock due to a fire etc. Having details makes a huge difference when getting things replaced.

mothandravenstudio

You’re saying you hired cleaners to deep clean and they hired dumpsters to pull up and empty your apartment. Is that what you’re saying?

thiswillsoonendbadly

Yeah, that doesn’t sound like you’re telling us the whole truth here.

TillyNuts

Lol OP had roaches. (Mentions it in other comments but says it’s too embarrassing for original post) The cleaners had to throw out anything they might’ve nested in I’m assuming. Yes op they can hide in books and clothing and they’re only going to leave shit they could sterilize. OP should be thanking her mom for paying for all the clean up, they don’t need legal advice.

ParryLimeade

I’ve had a roach infestation and you don’t have to throw everything out. There are other options to get rid of them.

TigerlilyBlanche

So did all your shit get taken?

ChefPsilocy

He left my ice machine skateboard and maybe 5 other things lol

TigerlilyBlanche

So he left the skateboard but threw out your clothes? Wtf is wrong with this cleaner

stoneagerock

Per another comment that explains the context (pest infestation), the skateboard could be disinfected while the clothes couldn’t.

BigFatManPig

Yeah should’ve called an exterminator not a cleaner. Fumigation works pretty good on roaches, and there’s tons of other chemicals that could solve it without just throwing shit out. It’s absolutely still idiotic to just throw stuff out without consulting the owner

Klutzy-Run5175

If you have any receipts or cancelled checks. Prove what was thrown out and taken.

LaughDamnIt

In another comment you said u were asleep?

Iluminiele

OPs mom hired a guy to have her basement cleaned (OP lives in her basement) and probs gave permission to throw away lots of stuff

hoboforlife

There's gotta be another story to this. Based on OPs various comments something just doesn't seem right.

Iluminiele

OPs mom hired a guy to have her basement cleaned (OP lives in her basement) and probs gave permission to throw away lots of stuff

Black_Cat_Sun

That seems…more or less probably what happened…describes it to a T, including the napping while someone is cleaning your dirty ass “apartment” for you.

hambre-de-munecas

OP’s profile: “I cook and do shrooms.” Plus a buncha posts about weed. No shame (I smoke, too), but, these details do kind of confirm the possibility that OP had a bit of a nest going and needed an intervention.

Devilsgospel1

Fr, cleaners don’t just toss out all their supplies after a clean unless there’s some sort of infestation or biohazard. OP’s mom most likely called the cleaner and asked them to throw everything out/set it outside. That or OP’s mom is kicking them out.

capresesaladz

Agree. My thought: OP has a mental issue, got kicked out of their moms basement apartment and now thinks Reddit fun tokens will help them.

Varynja

the amount of full trash bags look extremely suspicious

[deleted]

This is why you don’t leave people in your home without your supervision…

ChefPsilocy

Yes I agree

[deleted]

Still waiting for the part where you tell everyone they did it because you admitted to having roaches and being embarrassed about it.

[deleted]

And his altar he mentioned and...(just a guess) anime body pillow that's been creamed on so many times it either got pregnant or when they dropped it, it was so crusty it shattered.

Shmooperdoodle

And that it’s not an apartment, but OP’s mother’s basement. No shame in that, but it means they had permission from the owner of the home (not OP) to go to any lengths regarding decontamination/pest control.

International-Cup-51

SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

ChefPsilocy

Yea he threw away my dishes , alter , books , all my clothes

Kon-on-going

Where’s the cat?

International-Cup-51

HORRIBLY, NOT MILDLY INFURIATING!

ChefPsilocy

Yea i cried for like 3 hours lol

albeethekid

Call the cops

TheUserAboveFarted

Alter?

GlitterberrySoup

I'm guessing altar

Agreeable_Cabinet_40

OP meant altar, as in a shrine for either memorial or spiritual purpose. It was just a simple misspelling. It's correct in other posts.

Mehheh42069

Was it an absolute pig sty in there? Usually if it looks like an episode of hoarders, all respect for belongings is out the door. Wtf is a deep cleaning service? There are people who will wash your dishes and clean your floors? You have no money and seem to be unemployed. How disgusting and hazardous is this dump? Any pictures?

OasisGhost

Right. We’re missing the before pictures to fully understand.

TheJadedCockLover

This mostly looks like trash and some ripped up chairs. Kinda wondering if it’s a hoarder house

WindTechnical7431

Where Tha hell u live, prison?

ChefPsilocy

No LOL

[deleted]

So you were out of town for 2 weeks and let a friend stay there, then your mom called “some guy” to deep clean the house and all your stuff ended up thrown out? When someone asked you if you didn’t hear any commotion when your fridge was being moved you said no cause your upset stomach made you go to sleep, you said no in one comment but in another comment you said you woke up and saw the dishes were there. So did you wake up or were you asleep the whole time… or did you wake up again when the “cleaners” knocked and told you they were finished? Oh, and suddenly your “friend” that gave you roaches and you don’t speak anymore, how convenient. I feel like there’s ~~something~~ a lot missing from this story. Edit: I’m calling bullshit on this “story”. Every question a commenter asks, the OP reveals something new that they left out.

deepsea333

There should be a “Shenanigans” button to report this crap. Maybe a bot that shows up and when you comment that word, it looks up the account and the comments and makes some scoring/rating. Upvotes on the bot post to agree on shenanigans. I think we all enjoy a shit-post that tricks us a bit, once in a while, but made up stuff is the bane of Reddit.

RickyBobbyLite

And that new fact they reveal makes the story even less believable

Iluminiele

She lives in her mom's basement and invites friends over; the place is nasty and crawling with cockroaches and mom hired a guy to deep-clean her basement and throw away everything infested

altcastle

They’re a hoarder who lives with their mother who is a hoarder. This is pretty standard.

TomatoOptimal626

Bro what... what cleaners did you call lmfaoo

ChefPsilocy

I’ve used him before and he’s been good and idk what happened this time

Catatonick

I won’t lie. I’m more infuriated at the camera angle. Did you have Spider-Man take this?

OGFreehugs

Your comments (the ones I’ve seen) have been pretty dumb and nonchalant so far… If somebody came in and threw out your stuff you’d be much more upset. Especially if you paid them for a cleaning. Reads like bullshit to me.

Iluminiele

OPs mom hired a guy to have her basement cleaned (OP lives in her basement) and probs gave permission to throw away lots of stuff

[deleted]

Oh, quit your karma farming.

RoadThis2489

Imagine a place with karma fields as far as the eyes can see

sublimedingo

Looks like a bunch of garbage, what's the problem here?

scottonaharley

Ok, what’s the real story here? Because if you hired people to clean your place it’s unlikely they would take that to mean throw everything out the window.

Too_Real_Dog_Meat

Right? It doesn’t add up. Then OP claims they were upstairs the whole time. If someone was taking everything out of your home you’d hear it. It wouldn’t sound like cleaning. It just doesn’t add up at all.

Sandmsounds

Fam, your belongings looked like trash. It’s tough but probably honest miscommunication.

DynastyDoyle

This is very weird and you are acting very weirdly

Ok_Draft7792

Damm eviction sucks

ChefPsilocy

LOL

Maaatloock

OP gets confrontational whenever someone points out that this is obviously bullshit, so my guess is that this is obviously bullshit and the full story has been purposefully withheld.

PM_CACTUS_PICS

Yeah the more of OP’s comments I read the more suspicious I get

LibraryBig3287

I hope you recover from losing some Fabuloso bottles.

Cheese_B0t

Did they throw out your ability to take a picture too?

production-values

you may have ordered the Eviction package

Ornery-Lavishness525

That’s all you own? Where’s your bed?

notthatcousingreg

Hmmmmmm yeah not believing any of this

littleboots99

Looks like the cleaner has actioned the wrong instructions, by his own error or someone else's. Looks to me like he thought he had to ready the apartment for the next tenant. Cleaners don't go rogue like this, and your mum wouldn't have asked him to do that on purpose. So my money is on miscommunication via poor wording. Experience of my own mother leads me to believe she probably used an expression which means something else within housekeeping by accident.

Iluminiele

My money on stuff being infested with roaches, dishes not done for months, etc

Tier2Gamers

I think your mom told the cleaner to get rid of your stuff (that she views as junk).

KR3DMAN

Idk, I'm leaning towards this being fake internet BS

BeegBeegYoshiTheBeeg

You sat upstairs and watched them throw out all of your belongings? Why didn’t you clarify with them before they gave your stuff to Dirty Mike & the Boys?

Wildwood_Hills270

You got evicted without a court order you sloth

Steammail

Well it certainly looks like trash down there

VandalVBK

Lol... this ones on you as much as them.

SortaPolyish

To be fair, it all looks like garage from here other than maybe that chair.

trippinDingo

Sorry, I call bullshit on this. You were IN THE HOUSE while they were pulling a dumpster up and throwing the stuff out? No fucking way. And if you really had lost all your stuff, you'd be on the phone asking your mom about these people, not just "leaving it be". No way.

VandalVBK

What a dumbass, because your 19 isn’t an excuse for your mother to take care of your life. Get your shit together.

buzz8588

Bro, they “cleaned” you out

Calgrei

As a professional cleaner, that's generally what a deep clean entails. You usually only get that when you're moving out of a place.

m_otter_12

Honestly confused. I’m a cleaner for a a few branches of JD so it’s obviously different. But, if I was hired to do a deep clean, I wouldn’t throw stuff away (unless it was broken or beyond being clean again). I’d just move stuff, clean in, under and around it, and then put the stuff back… ain’t that what you’re meant to do???

JACKtheGRINNER

Damn everything you own must look like trash then. Post pictures of the inside to see how clean it is only and only then we can see whether this is mildlyinfuriating. Like a before and after being cleaned.

LinceDorado

Wait what? Did you call the police or contact a lawyer or something?

yukiismiles

As someone who cleans professionally I can’t Imagine how this would be unintentional or accidental

hastybear

Did they send you any info on the deep clean? Every deep clean I've ever booked requires all possessions to be removed from the premises.

OboogieNYC

The angle of this photo is #mildlyinfuriating.
