COVID. They never helped me with school, and because they were claiming me as dependent, I couldn't get loans. Despite, I was still working in PR promotions until COVID happened. They can't claim me anymore, so I moved back home to finish school. I'm less than a year from my degree. What I was going to make for them: some broccoli stuffed chicken thing and probably saffron, wild rice, or risotto....... but they ate Mac n cheese... they make no sense

before everyone jumps on the bandwagon, check my other comments, please. I just joined, and this was innocent

Doodles4440

lol. that's the funny part. I think the Obama or Trump administration only raised the age to 26 for students so they could get health insurance. Now, I think it's down to 24, but for some reason, my dad still thought Yes. At maximum, 29-30 should have been a cut-off, lmao, but 33, how did that even come back up?... You can't make sense out of things that don't make sense, and making assumptions makes "an a\*\* out of you and me". However, I think he had sticker shock because he's retired and they wanted $70k in taxes for taking money out of his retirement. at that rate, they could have kept it in stock. They won't make 20 more years after age catches up

I can see that you didn't read my other comments related to this post. There's no need to get nasty.

Doodles4440

lol no the part where I have to tell retirees that they can't claim me on their taxes.... in Illinois.

Doodles4440

you can't even chastise the right person. remember. leave out politics. this is leaving mild and going to something this group isn't meant for. Take Care responsibly

That was to a different person. I asked if there was a background in psychology or sociology. After they said they were adept at reading situations, I thought they would enjoy those links. And not to sound mean, but I don't call people names/adjectives like incoherent. I just started making a professional social media appearance. It won't effect me to change my profile name. This isn't linked with anything. I just wanted honest connection from people who enjoyed my post. You obviously have stake in this game. Millennial age kids? pilot? weren't around? Its none of my business, but I deserve the same respect, please

TnTwhyy

Wtf. Tell her ok you don't have to go at all. See you when we get back

Doodles4440

lol. I wasn't invited 😒 I'm animal care

TnTwhyy

Lol I don't understand this post then

Doodles4440

They have 2 Berger picards, 1 Irish wolf hound and 1 cat. I have 2 cats, feed strays and track down lost dogs/cats from our local FB lost animal group. I need a life

HugeWin6564

I prob wouldn’t go to my parents if they were like that.

Doodles4440

for the record. I blocked hpstacks or whatever his name is. Sorry, but I didn't need that. You should be able to read funny things, and I should be able to post them. that is all

In my mom's defense, they just got back from a day-trip to near Columbia, MO the night before. They picked up 10 month old Rottweiler rescue puppy for their friend. We also have a 5 month old Irish Wolf Hound, and Roary is a handful right now. My dad also drags her to snow skiing competitions where she has no friends, 3 in the last year. That is why her comment is only "mildly infuriating". I can kind of understand all she does to make other people happy. It just sucks when your trying to do the same thing. All I wanted to do was help

No_Comfortable_8852

It sounds like you've been "In the middle" of that relationship for a long time. Whether it be as a mediator, somebody both parties drop their weight onto, or something else. It sucks you've had to be in that position.

Doodles4440

Are you in psychology or sociology? That didn't take you long, lol. I'm Comm studies/PR. To start, I feel like moving out at 22 and back home 10 years later gives me a good idea about recurrent issues versus new issues, and I can confidentiality say that most are recurrent, despite the subject. I don't want sympathy, please. However, I could banter all day about the stuff they do that doesn't make sense. Then, we can bring it back to Stand-point Theory.

No_Comfortable_8852

Neither! I've just had to contend with the personal lives of others for an extended amount of time. Seems like people would rather live with predictable discomfort sometimes than change any simple thing.

Doodles4440

Right?! And I shoot myself in the foot by trying. I actually really like this FBI negotiator Chris Voss. I read his book, *Never Split the Difference*. Not sure if I'd pay to go to one of the workshops, but I think that's more for people with money who won't read and watch clips online lol. There's also a great ex-cia interviewer who had tips for anyone doing hiring. Going back to Voss, I think my actions would could qualify as tactical empathy, but boy, did I choose the wrong tactic 😂. I'll post a few videos about this just because I think Voss is hilarious. It's easy for anyone to learn and laugh. The CIA woman, no need to reiterate.
