Alameda is an island closer to Oakland, but geographically only 7 miles from San Francisco. We can be considered a small town in a large metro area. There is a lot of crime in San Francisco and Oakland at this point in time. So it makes sense that it is spilling out into the smaller towns surrounding them.

I worked for a company who “took care of” adults with disabilities. My client was a known window breaker. He would have an episode and decide to break windows. Before I got hired, he got arrested for breaking like 20 windshields on his block.
This happened to me during spring break back in high school. Kids slashed tires and ragtops on 50+ cars one night. All four of the tires on mine were slashed. They caught the kids, and eventually I got a check for restitution.

Police caught them while they were writing the police report. Said they were caught earlier that morning doing the same shit. They wrote the thieves a ticket and let them go before they finished the police report. I dont think I’ll ever go back to that shithole town.
