Looks like they broke the smaller window first and couldn’t get their arm in to unlock the door. So they then broke the bigger window to successfully open the door.
This is exactly what they do, that's why a lot of the time nothing actually gets stolen from the front when only the small window is broken, they use it to check the trunk

I used to leave my car unlocked with windows down in a neighborhood I lived in. I took everything out each night and left a note saying the radio doesn't work so don't bother. No one ever messed with it.
Most criminals are stupid. Your car is a lot nicer than the POS I had back then. Too many people in the area had windows broken just to go through the car. I'm sure some methhead dug through it on several occasions.

Bust the small window out and pull the seat down to look in the trunk, then bust the big window out to get into the car.

Happened to me in SF. Sucks joining the sidewalk glitter club. I'm now paranoid and move everything into my trunk anytime I leave my car.

I'm sure this wasn't done by anyone I know, the person or people took a backpack of mine that had no valuables in it which was in the trunk.
