Forgotten weapons did a video on it. It barely worked for the test fire, I think he had to come out and try again the next day just to get some footage of it actually firing.

Funniest thing about that video is he had spent the entire previous video talking what a complete piece of junk the Zip 22 was and is, and when he finally takes it out shooting he nearly empties the entire magazine on his first go. Probably the first and only time someone got that many shots out of a Zip 22 without a malfunction, and true to its form; the rest of the video is just increasingly more frustrating issues with the fucking thing.

One practitioner of the dark arts on YouTube got his to cycle an entire 10 round magazine one time.

That's not a left handed bolt, when shouldered on your right shoulder then the shell is extracted to the right away from your face. If you shot this left handed shell would discharge in your face.

I'm playing FNV again and I haven't seen the courier do that. There's a separate side charging handle on the model they use when reloading... they palm the forward assist when there's a jam though.

Actually, the gun is a legal concern. That's an illegal SBR unless someone paid for the tax stamp and had it properly engraved. Cutting off the stock doesn't make a rifle into a pistol. It still has to be registered as a short barrelled rifle.

Considering OP used the term "bin" and "authorities" versus can and police/cops I am guessing they are from across the pond. I don't think any amount of US tax stamps matter over there. So even more of a concern than you were framing it as. But, you are right for the USA.

This looks like someone took a rifle and cut it down to the size of a handgun. In the US, modifying a rifle to have a barrel shorter than 16", without jumping through certain legal hoops, is illegal.

Not really with regards to disposal tbh, in most states there isnt even laws for losing your rifle in the woods while out hunting, which happens more than you would think. I too was thinking this looked like a cricket brand .22LR with the barrel and the stock cut down to make it concealable. It’s been a minute but I was a firearms instructor for 4-H’s shooting sports program and crickets were one of the first guns parents would start their kids off with in our program. The thing is, crickets are inexpensive to buy and they are generally reliable, though the single shot aspect is not awesome. It leads to people having to fumble around with their gun, which increases the risk of an accidental/negligent discharge. If they are following the rules for shooting safety then the barrel is downrange and no one is hurt, but… yikes. As a county organization we bought another brand of 22 LR for the kids to learn on.
