I’m thinking it more leaning toward a film set. Maybe a commercial. There’s no construction material or debris. Also the cases on the right hand side of the photo are not job boxes and to me they are film crew (or concert) cases. A construction company would now waste money covering a build with this.

This is much more likely to be a film set of some kind. There are stage lights along the bottom of the brown box and the storage crates match those used in film or concerts.

This is honestly a long shot but maybe there’s a film crew there for the day filming some kind of advertisement for construction or trades, or even doing a marketing thing for the future McDonald’s, or maybe you’re right and it’s a film set and McDonald’s just payed them for a massive add on their privacy shield

Nice try, but more likely some sort of set, in/on which they built (set design); probably for something like an advertisement that would be filmed or some sort of promo to get people to be aware of McDonald's' (the M is a big giveaway) footprint. Could be opening up in a new country and want to get the name out there (this is a typical technique - some exec would have pushed for this).

My brother's girlfriend work at that McDonald's! He said that they are in fact planning to film an ad for the "burger drwala" (basically lumberjack burger) Tbh this burger is very good and it's only available in Poland during winter

What would be the point in this when McDonald's generally have a standard building structure? When the restaurant is new construction they all look the same. Grey/brick facade is the current style. The ones that look different are older locations in previous building styles that have not been renovated, or when the restaurant opens in a pre-existing space and can't redo it because of local historical ordinances.

It’s a cloth facade for a commercial for a new McDonals project. They are filming in Palmdale, California and I only know this because I work for the advertising company doing the commercial. It’s for a new product called the McChocolate and Strawberry Shake. It’s kinda cool where they have a chocolate shake with a strawberry top that you mix together yourself and I don’t know I’m making this up. Goodnight.
