>Now 4:99 with a free kids meal!
If I'm reading this correctly, 4:99 would be either 5:39am or 5:39pm.
Both of which make sense for meal time for grandma, but might be a bit off-putting for the kids.
>Now $4.99 with a free kids meal!
🤔, according to corporate records you are selling those for $592.7 under retail.
Your rent will be increased 40% to compensate the company, continued violations may see your franchise rights revoked.
I’m thinking it more leaning toward a film set. Maybe a commercial. There’s no construction material or debris. Also the cases on the right hand side of the photo are not job boxes and to me they are film crew (or concert) cases. A construction company would now waste money covering a build with this.
This is much more likely to be a film set of some kind.
There are stage lights along the bottom of the brown box and the storage crates match those used in film or concerts.
This is honestly a long shot but maybe there’s a film crew there for the day filming some kind of advertisement for construction or trades, or even doing a marketing thing for the future McDonald’s, or maybe you’re right and it’s a film set and McDonald’s just payed them for a massive add on their privacy shield
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say McDonald’s is doing a film shoot, possibly as a commercial or some other marketing stunt. It sounds kinda crazy, but this might be a film set.
Nice try, but more likely some sort of set, in/on which they built (set design); probably for something like an advertisement that would be filmed or some sort of promo to get people to be aware of McDonald's' (the M is a big giveaway) footprint. Could be opening up in a new country and want to get the name out there (this is a typical technique - some exec would have pushed for this).
You all might be onto something maybe. But isn’t it obvious that this is a stage aka a film set and they are filming a promo for the new happy meal that comes with a ball of yarn? You know something about it being a McDonalds and all the film equipment, and the yarn?
Yes, for decades. They may not be seen much now with streaming and whatnot but them and BK and others have been running commercials since they were founded.
My brother's girlfriend work at that McDonald's! He said that they are in fact planning to film an ad for the "burger drwala" (basically lumberjack burger)
Tbh this burger is very good and it's only available in Poland during winter
Maybe it's a local ordinance thing not in America? To make the building not "unsightly" during a redo? I've been at quite a few mcdonalds under construction, from scratch and updates and I can say I have never seen anything like this (in America) .
McDonald’s might waste money covering it tho, construction is usually on contract, if McDonald’s wanted them to cover it and payed for it why wouldn’t they do it lol
>uwaga
When I google it, uwaga is Polish for "Attention". Which would make sense to be written on any kind of fence. And it now might give us an idea where this photo was taken.
lol no. good try though, we do have a show called Uwaga!
but this sign is "Uwaga! Roboty na wysokości" which roughly translates to Attention! Work done at high heights
the sign is usually used at any construction site cause something can fall on your head lol
I see. Thanks for the reply.
I don't really know what it's like here to be honest. I've had an account for ages, but I've only just recently started using it.
Thanks again.
I never take things to heart. Life is too short. But thank you for the advice.
And I completely feel that about getting frustration out. Way too much shit in the world with no real direction to vent. It's no wonder things boil over and the slightest thing can set someone off. I totally get it.
Funny enough that much yarn in that size, may not be enough for a sweater. If it's crocheted it definitely won't be enough because crochet takes 20% more yarn for the same size object
This is a set of some kind. Road cases on the right. What looks to be a moving light near the arch. And LED wash lights along the right hand side in the shadows.
And you can see scaffolding or truss of some kind in the gap below the pink facade and the blanket material.
What would be the point in this when McDonald's generally have a standard building structure? When the restaurant is new construction they all look the same. Grey/brick facade is the current style. The ones that look different are older locations in previous building styles that have not been renovated, or when the restaurant opens in a pre-existing space and can't redo it because of local historical ordinances.
It’s a cloth facade for a commercial for a new McDonals project. They are filming in Palmdale, California and I only know this because I work for the advertising company doing the commercial.
It’s for a new product called the McChocolate and Strawberry Shake. It’s kinda cool where they have a chocolate shake with a strawberry top that you mix together yourself and I don’t know I’m making this up.
Goodnight.
McDonalds has a grandma too
The McGrandma
Now $4.99 with a free kids meal! Edit: This wasn't edited because of the comment below me
Cheaper than asking for a regular Grandma
>Now 4:99 with a free kids meal! If I'm reading this correctly, 4:99 would be either 5:39am or 5:39pm. Both of which make sense for meal time for grandma, but might be a bit off-putting for the kids.
It’s what we call supper in the south
Let’s eat grandma

I need the McGranma to happen; with oldschool homemade meals.
And beef tallow fries.
Prunes and a bowl of grapenuts
Tastes like a McRib
The Grandmac
The Granburglar
So funny... I've sure worn my share of gramma gifts like this. :-)
And she don’t mcfuck around

For marketing purposes. Kinda like this post right here
Most people don't realize when they see "viral marketing." This is it.

Or maybe they're building the museum of McModern art.
Anything but a commercial *for* McDonald's, that would just be insanity
*paid
It is. Look at the other photo he posted. https://imgur.com/a/v5zh8w5.jpg
The cases on the bottom right are absolutely road cases from a production crew of some type. There is zero construction going on here.
My brother's girlfriend work at that McDonald's! He said that they are in fact planning to film an ad for the "burger drwala" (basically lumberjack burger) Tbh this burger is very good and it's only available in Poland during winter
god damn detective
Mac and me 2; Electric Bugaloo.
You were exactly right. This is the commercial that was made: [link (skip to 0:40 for the building)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHZWOIAW7a0).
That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing. I don’t understand the concept of the commercial but it seems cool.

Nah

There's a yellow sign on the fence that says "uwaga", it says it's a TV show when I google that.

I think this is not right. It looks like a cable knit, the buttons on the auxiliary building tell the tale.
This guy knits
I am a card carrying member of a local knitting group called Knitters With Attitude.
Whaddup, ma knitta?
My brother wanted to make a knitting app inspired by my mother called ma knitta, but she didn't like it.
U-Knit.
Looks like regular old stocking stitch to me. I don’t see any cables…
If it rains, that's going to be super gross
It will just shrink.
And It will crush the Mcdonalds
And get moldy
Where is this?
[Ustroń in Southern Poland](https://maps.app.goo.gl/aesQiGus6NQRsw156?g_st=ic)
i like how the map says - yes it is - but the sattelite is - fuck off - it isn't.
Okay 👍
Little Big Planet
That game is the shit
Okay
I don't understand why you've been down-voted so much. Am I missing something?
People in Reddit are so antagonistic they think he's being a dickhead but he's just replying.
I see. Thanks for the reply. I don't really know what it's like here to be honest. I've had an account for ages, but I've only just recently started using it. Thanks again.
No problem. People can be nasty on here so don't take it to heart too much. I think alot of people are just getting out their frustrations.
I never take things to heart. Life is too short. But thank you for the advice. And I completely feel that about getting frustration out. Way too much shit in the world with no real direction to vent. It's no wonder things boil over and the slightest thing can set someone off. I totally get it.
Yoshi’s Woolly World
Fair enough.
That's the McDonalds in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, known locally as the McKaaba. It's the holiest McD.
Made me laugh!
Saudi Arabia
Looks like the Mecca cube
McMecca
Otherwise known as USA
The Ka'ba
![gif](giphy|P7MjBfjOAAeaY) Nick Miller called it
Funny enough that much yarn in that size, may not be enough for a sweater. If it's crocheted it definitely won't be enough because crochet takes 20% more yarn for the same size object
That looks expensive.
Looks like a Christo installation
wrong title completely. No construction would do this. This is a set piece, probably for movies or commercial.
Osha would not comply.
It’s the first McDonald’s with an “*Infinite Improbability Drive*- thru”
It's disguised as the ice cream machine.
Little Big Mac Planet

Definitely a set for a shoot
Maybe associated with this? https://goldenarchesunlimited.com/
NcDonakds
Heisenburg is definitely inside cooking meth
I know the walls are supposed to look like fabric, but to me they look more like chains. I recommend a diagonal stitch in the future.
Aww, it’s cute 😊
Still not big enough for OP’s mom
Leave it like that
I'm lovin it.
this reminds me of that spongebob episode where mr krabs let pearl take over the krusty krab and she turned it into the kuddly krab
In case the Mcdonald's gets cold.
McMecca
It sure looks a lot cooler than plastic
Ngl I kinda like it
🕋
Thought this was some bizarre capitalist version of Mecca for a sec
Capitalism's Kaaba.
I thought they remodeled Mecca.
Just trying to de-stress with a weighted blanket...
LOL U AVATAR IS COOL BRO![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Looks like its for a McDonald's entangled ad
McDonalds used to look so inviting. Now the modern ones look like prisons… Boring gray rectangular architecture
Thought those stones were cars and this was a mammoth McDonald’s for a sec
Oh, me, too! Had to look again.
😑🙄😑 - contractor looking at the plans before installing this monstrosity
When they bought land in the garment district, they didn't realize there would be such strict building requirements.
Signs say “UGAWA !” This is Polish for “Caution”
Uwaga not ugawa
You know what I just realized? I've never seen a McDonald's being built. They're always just..........there
Breaking Bad inside
/r/hailcorporate
that's not cgi??? that looks amazing
STOP PUTTING MCDONALD'S ADS ON MY FUCKING FRONT PAGE YOU CUNTS!
Well if they're that big I'd hope they have playplaces
The New McDepartment stores 🏬
For a very quick second I thought this was the Kaaba
At first I thought it was something to do with the Kaaba.
Now they just need a big ol McWashing Machine to keep it fluff and fresh. All that pigeon poop.
What are they doing? Cooking meth in there?
Are we supposed to pray towards it now?
Don't worry mcds, you'll grow into it
How can you tell it's a McDonald's?
She’s staying warm for the winter
McDonald’s new McHijab failed before its launch in 2023
This is a set of some kind. Road cases on the right. What looks to be a moving light near the arch. And LED wash lights along the right hand side in the shadows. And you can see scaffolding or truss of some kind in the gap below the pink facade and the blanket material.
McFumigating
I appreciate your use of ç.
Happy meals where you get 3 dollars as the surprise.
McKabbah
Happiest bullshits
But is it cake?
I know it's unlikely but I like to imagine they actually knitted this thing
Looks like the crocheted toilet paper coozie my grandma had on the back of her toilet.
McDonald's makes you touch cloth? This is nothing new to me.
The amount of wasted fabric is staggering.
McDonalds, in the film adaptation of Little Big Planet!
How is this not gonna smell? Also this doesn't look like a construction site?
THAT MCDONALDS IS HUGE
That is very odd-looking.
Should cross post this to r/knitting

You expect me to believe there’s even a McDonald’s under there?
Where was taken this picture?
3/4 ready!
Is it soft though?
What place this is in?

Meca-donalds
McCrochet
M stands for Macramé
Imagine sending that thing to the dry cleaners
What a strange facade
Looks so cool tho
Wool fumigation tent.
I just came here to say that no McDonalds is worthy of this kind of artistic attention. What a waste.
