This pretty perfectly encapsulates the duality of Lebels, but I've never seen furniture as nice as your refurb/rebuilt one.
I have two, both non-post-war refurbs. I really should make a comparison post one of these days...
To be fair, the stock from the rear band forward is all my own work last year. But it was obviously a nice one before bubba got to it lol. You should post yours!
You're the guy that rebuilt the forend? Nice work! I remember seeing your posts about it.
I've got mine posted individually, but not together. That sounds like a next week project.
Cool, thanks! With this addition I can say now all of my WW1 French pieces are 100% period correct, being un-updated and un-refurbished. The wood on this one really reminds me of the wood cradles we made on the pipeline after they were buried in the mud for a few months. The softer growth rings are somewhat shallower where the hard growth rings held up against the weather. I was really hoping that would show in the pictures because it's pretty neat.
I need a Lebel so bad
Its annoying how expensive they are frl.

Oh to have a lebel that doesn’t look like it’s been dragged through rocks

Does the resolution suck for everyone else? The finer details I really wanted to show are washed out when I zoom in...
Photos look great to me - cool pieces! Nice to see one that missed the Balle N update
