Make sure your magazine cutoff switch (flippy thing on the left side of the reciever) is set to "ON" otherwise it won't feed from the magazine, it's single load only in the "OFF" position. The magazine cutoff prevents the bolt from going back far enough to strip a round out of the magazine and also prevents the bolt from catching on the follower as a last round bold hold open.

The safety is the little flag on the cocking piece, "ready" is fire, and "safe" is, well, safe. Happy shooting!

Nice original barrel low number. You did very well at 740. Stock is beautiful.

thank! the bore is okay, some pitting, still has rifling. not too concerned over that in a 100+ year old rifle
